I watched ont of your videos a few weeks ago. I don't remember which one it was but you talked about licensing. So just for the heck of it I took the extra test and passed it. I don't even have a radio! Maybe I will go shopping??
Hi Ria, I am enjoying your book beyond explanation. Can you please write one book for General and one for Extra. Thanks a million.
I just bought your book. and I love it, everything from design to content.
Japanese pricing is about $600 USD. US pricing hasn’t been announced yet. Hopefully it’s not too much more. Save your pennies :)
Honestly thought it would be more.
I'll pay $1,000.00 if I have to. But probably won't have to.
@@dustyrhodes1655 same here, I thought $649.
Lots of whining for months about it not have full duplex. I don't care, I'm just looking for a Tri-bander of good quality. Will be worth the price to me. With no full duplex you can just use two radios to accomplish full duplex. And one of them could only do receive too I think! Right? I could use my little Uniden BC125AT scanner for God's sake. Or my much better Uniden SDS200 scanner. Or just another ham rig!! So why the whining?
Way to much money for a handheld.
Not too much for all that it does. I have $25 baofengs and I have high end yaesus, kenwoods and icoms. They all have their place.
@@n2rj I'll stick with the Naofenh
A couple months back I read the 75A was going to have NiCad batteries. Is that a true spec or a misprint?
Misprint. It comes with a KNB-75L Li-ion Battery Pack (7.4V/ 1,800mAh). Optional is the KNB-74L Li-ion Battery Pack (7.4V/ 1,100mAh) and also the KBP-9 Battery Case which holds 6AAA Alkaline
Batteries.
Thanks for the update. Definitely good news. 73, W1RKB @@mikesradiorepair
@@mikesradiorepair 8 AAs would be better but I'll take it and I'll buy that battery case.
@@mikesradiorepair according to the news release, it will be a KNB-75LA 7.4v 1820 mAh Li-ion. Probably a minor change in the actual batteries used in the pack.
Cool but thats about AU$970 dollars. If I dont blow my meager pension for 5 weeks on stupid things like food and bills, I can afford it!😂👍
Agreed - it’s not for everyone but it’s compelling for a lot of people
Wish i could see the press release without creating a FB account, but i guess i got all the info anyway, thanks!
It’s on Kenwood site I think
Thanks Ria! Looking forward to this unit.
Your late post a video its already here!!!
Typo - you have 75 in the title and video, 74 in the first line of text below - " Kenwood TH-D74A " - which carries over to the facebook post...73 de NØGFT
Thank you! I fixed it.
$
Based on Japan pricing around $600USD
Thank you. I've definitely been wondering 🎉 YTB💯👍🏾😇✔️
🥰🥰🥰
I haven't heard anything from you in a while. I hope you're doing well.
Yes I have an update about life. Hopefully will resume videos soon
Hopefully we will hear from you soon.
Thank You Ria, Great Video!!
Will it have a 5mm jack for back up external power like from your car cigarette port? I know charging will be from USB C. And if not 5mm, anyone know what size plug it will take? I can't find it in the spec. What's the old 74A use? This will likely use the same jack type for external power as the 74..
Yes it will. It will have that and the type c
@@n2rj Thanks for the info!!

Well you’ll be missing out on full duplex.
