Y’all…I’ve been using a Mazzer Super Jolly Luigi for 12 years. It’s the old school kind with the doser. Switching to the df64v has been AMAZING! Other single dosers are probably good too but here’s why I love: 1.) Quieter 2.) More consistent repeatable shots 3.) less stale grinds in finished cup 4.) Smaller 5.) Easier cleanup 6.) Looks better in person
Your video was excellent and extremely thorough covering all key points of this grinder. One recommendation I would make is to use the bellows to include the remaining fines in your coffee as it should help to balance the flavour profile. You may only have to account for about 0.1g retention using that method. By the way, I love that coffee machine!
You can use pretty much any cup to weigh and dump in your coffee, you don't NEED to buy another fancy coffee dosing cup, when I first started I was using a shot glass I had lying around being unutilized, it held 18g comfortably and probably could hold up to 21g
I am looking for more DF64v videos. Can you do more brewing methods with the DF64v possibly another tasting video like you did with your buddies. It was that video where you taste coffee with four df64 and each have different burrs. Possibly doing more modern espresso like turbo shots.
Hi CY, thanks your effort making this df64v review video. wish to see what is your preferable burr on this df64v, i also just get one of it with DLC burr, the burr quite surprise me. It had quite competitive with ssp mp which i install on df64, not sure is it because on the RPM variable and the motor affect on the burr performance too.
I like your style of presentation. Thanks. Does your df64v have the original or the new 'revised' electrical circuit board in it? I have read that there is no stalling with grinders having the revised circuit board installed. Can you also comment on the DLC burrs...and how they compare to other 64mm burrs that you have had installed in grinders previously...in what they bring out in espressos? I have seen comments where they are compared very favourably to SSP HU burrs. Would you agree?
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore oh really? retention wise etc work flow you'd say the g64 is winner as well? Just looking to get something new and its between these two grinders. if stalling is the only issue with the DF64v, does it still stall if the grinder is pre-running before you add the beans?
@@CaffeMartellaSingapore first thank you for the reviews I really enjoy them. I'm actally torn between the G64 and the df64v (I loike the looks of G64 more plus it's more powerful on paper). out of the box with stock burrs you'd say the G64 is better ? does the df64v still jam even after the updated board ? my only concern with the G64 is that it's not well known worldwide, and I'm afraid I might end up with a broken unit in a couple of months; I presume Amalfi is a reputable oem & odm manufacturer. anyway, as a final verditct, which of the two would you recommend for me ?

I quite like the DLC burrs and it gives better body than SSP HU in my opinion.
How is the alignment and tolerances ?
its pretty good
Any idea if the stalling is the same for a 110V and the 220V version?
Will be the same.

@@Foxy_proxy yes especially when i pour the beans into the grinder before activating the switch.
Anecdotally stalling appears to be less of an issue on the 220v version.
Whats the name of the machine you are using?
I dont think it matters as brushless motor tends to be weaker in torque.
Oh i think my question came out wrong, i am interested with the espresso machine you are using 😅

Is this comparable to the g64?
G64 is better. It doesnt jam at all.
