shes got a beautiful glow about her and so graceful and gentle.Shes been my idol since my teenage years and no one comes close since and im 55 now and still worship her. Shes too gentle for this world thats for sure.long live Olivia
I actually remember watching this on tv yrs ago and I have agree with clucka, I was so excited when I got the dvd and was totally disappointed that this was not on it. Thanks for posting it
After viewing this, I can honestly say now, Universal has NO EXCUSE for not having bonus features on the "Xanadu" dvd. The footage exists. And the film has a rabid cult following--a huge one. BTW the movie is known as a bomb, but it actually made money(not a lot), it's budget was around $13 million, and it's U.S. gross at the box office was $24 mill. Add worldwide box office, video and dvd, and you got a lotta money this film eventually has made.
I wish they would have put the making of the movie and the deleted scenes and alternate ending on the special edition of Xanadu. When the blu ray came out they didn't put them on blu ray. I hope someday if they ever do another special edition I hope they put them on dvd and Blu ray. I do love that movie.
I love all the ELO tracks from Xanadu, especially the title track "Xanadu". But I have to admit that my favorite song from the entire soundtrack is "Magic" by John Farrar. Awesome song!
if you loved XANADU then you all are welcome to monterrey, mexico where a XANADU replica opened as a disco for the people on the early 80's...is not working now but is still here to enjoy!!!!

YES that's an alternate endding. it is said that there are so much recorded fottage that you could do a TOTALLY different movie about xanadu! so GOOD! ;)
At 1:51; Is it just my imagination or is there a “VIBE “ going down between John Ferrar and Jeff Lynne?! I got a very weird vibe from John you know; two song writers producers and the girl. Do you think there’s a little bit of competition between Jeff and John?! at least Jeff tried to lighten the mood A little and had a sense of humor John was just sitting there like a curmudgeon! Geoff LYNN owned that Scene / Interview he was funny and witty he tried to inject some energy into the interview whereas JF just seem to sit there like a bump on a log! And JOHN is a brilliant songwriter producer but he seems intimidated city there next to Geoff LYNN wouldn’t you be

Does anyone know why they replaced the second muse who turns alive in the clip I'm alive for another one at the end of the film? She is much prettier than the one at the finale show.
His co worker who says she has "this teriffic friend- u interested?" near the beginning when sonny sees kira in the album cover actually came full circle with the alternative ending! seems like the original script had a lot of cohesive ideas eventually editted.. i wonder if the guy on the pier who wants to show sonny his daughters was originally intended to be Zeus in disguise- whipping out his 9 wallet sized snapshots... hah... maybe not.

The musical scenes were all amazing in this film. Such a shame the script was soooo duff. Olivia is charming!
