I'm also a little worried. Buddy who runs a toy store told me some things he's seen make him worry neca is having troubles. So all I think is they unloading a lot of stock on these boxes
I never understood how NECA could keep making so many different versions of Predators and Aliens. Just doesn't seem like theres a big market for those.
Back in the 80s Alien was considered a slasher in space. Predator was considered an action horror movie. Alien and Predator were considered horror movies.
@saintocamus alien, the first one, maybe. But predator, nah. It was Arnold, war, and aliens. Action adventure sci fi at best. Nothing scary about predator. Plus, you found both films in the sci fi section of video stores, not the horror section.
The Thing and the original Alien movies are definitely horror but yeah as for everything else I agree not so much. I did a horror one as well and had 11 Aliens/Predator items lol. Comparing my "Z Horror" to others like your Y horror though I kinda got lucky. The box I got I only had 5 items whereas most others I would've had all but like 3. A little too heavy on the "sci fi" for horror like you said but I am curious now to see what the actual sci fi boxes looked like lol. Great video though!
Its a great value for how many ultimates you get but every single thing ive seen in all these boxes i knew would show up in there lots of predators aliens universal jason Freddy Michael im only surprised i havent seen any gremlin's same with the tmnt boxes and sci fi i guessed everything that would be in there too its all just shelf warmers we all passed up
Alien and The Thing are most definitely horror movies that have sci-fi in them. Alien is a haunted house film that takes place on a space ship. I do agree that The Predator stuff would have been better off in the Sci-Fi box though. I'm honestly surprised you only ended up with one Jason and two Michaels. I'm actually glad I did not go with the horror set since I really have everything I wanted from their Horror offerings at the time. Meanwhile, I only have a small amount of their TMNT stuff and would like to get more, so I figured their TMNT box was my best bet. Still waiting for it to ship. My guess is they're still waiting for more returns to come back from Walmart and Target given both stores have either removed their NECA section completely or cut it in half.
TMNT and Pop culture were ok, but these sci-fi and horror, mainly horror was kinda disapointing for people whoe where looking exactly what the box says, beside the actual price of each item.
I'm in Canada and that was the same deal breaker for me... currency conversion, duty fees... thought I'd try to buy 2, but it brought shipping to 180 USD
@@JamesHatesEverything That would make sense since the products that were shipped back have to go somewhere. I'm not sure about your stores, but my Walmarts recently all removed their NECA sections entirely while Targets have cut them in half. It makes sense that NECA would just want to get rid of them by any means possible.
oh... maybe i should have watched the whole thing instead of skipping around because I was like "$500 for 14 unsold target/walmart figures that have been on shelves for over a year?" But at $140 its actually decent. Its just a shame neca figures break by looking at them the wrong way.
@@hiddeninthebrush when do you get yours in? I want to order a scifi box if my horror one is good, but I also want to know if the scifi one would be worth.
@@JamesHatesEverything As I said in another comment (not sure if you saw it or not), it's because stores were getting rid of unsold products. My Walmarts have all gotten rid of their NECA sections while my Targets are cutting their NECA shelves in half. One store went from having two endcaps and the section in Electronics to just the section in Electronics. Another went from 4 sections to 2. There's only one Target left that still has 6 sections full of TMNT 2 packs
@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork yep these are all store returns. Everyone I received Carrie an LP (loss prevention) sticker ensuring they didn't go back out on the floor.

IDK IF THESE ARE RETURNS 135 for ALL that can’t beat it!
thats exactly what i expected and told my friend about, Neca doing this stupid Box just to get rid of old unwanted figures, smart move lol
@kailee87 that's basically what all mystery boxes are.
Nice unboxing aside. I love your background with all the gaming running
I wanted one of those boxes so bad but Christmas wiped me out. Glad I got to see yours.
Glad I didn't get the horror box, end up with 50% predator. then again, I ordered sci-fi and pop culture which means I'll probably get 75% gargoyles
Oh it's pronounced Neck-A, I always call it Knee-Ka.
I guess the Predators didn't sell as well as they hoped.

The tmnt boxes I've seen have been great.
That was nice! I love Alien and Predator so I would have no problem with those.
Predator should be in sci-fi box
And apparently they are... seems like they are shoving predator and alien in horror, sci fi, and pop culture boxes... kind of ridiculous.
The Aliens figure looks awesome. Nice find!

I didn’t get to 500, store bought your looking at about 440 for everything.
@jerryw2460 i looked at the price on amazon through the seller app I could flip them for... basically cheapest used price and it came to 517.90.
was going to get one until i seen the shipping was 120 lol
Weird. Shipping was free for me.

WoW great mystery box!!!
I bought the horror too i felt it was a great box.
this looks cool.
So much predator, hope my box isn’t as much sci fi
Predator is a Horror movie.
@jasonludwick2722 totally disagree. It sci fi and action adventure. Nothing scary about predator.
