    I bought the premium AFM table w/ SSF kit in Sept of this year. I have been super stoked with the system and have bought most of the packs.
    The Zen lineup for 2025 could be a game changer and get 4KP more clout and exposure.

      Same exact situation for me. Agree with you. If I could talk anyone i know IRL into buying one, I would.

      @ I lucked out with my timing. The day it was delivered was the same day all the lag fix patches started, haha.

    My hindsight says my first weekend purchase was very smart. $1199 shipped and a $250 installed SSF kit brought it to $1449 shipped to the door. Yeah, I had to wait longer, but what a deal. I’m at 100% even if it did not come out well for AtGames.

    People who think finance isn't a good idea obviously don't know how to build their credit score up. I financed both of my atgames 4kp through PayPal credit interest free for 6 months. I'd never be able to pay 3 grand up front. Paying with payments allows you to pay other bills as you're paying your toys off. As you boost your credit score!

      As long as you are diligent and responsible with your payments, it makes total sense. Nothing wrong with it.

    4KP is awesome and well worth it. The steady drip of Zen games makes it exciting. No issues here.

    I’m really hoping that Atgames can sell more of these 4k machines! It’s by far my favorite machine that I own! And if they don’t sell enough machines, it’s likely we won’t get that many more tables!

    Thanks for a GREAT stream on a topic that is important to the whole community!
    I think everyone would like to see AG succeed and continue to bring good products to the community at a reasonable price point (what that is is it’s own huge debate) … and I think most feel the same way about A1up too.
    We want cool fun and affordable products (all very subjective) that the companies can have a sustainable business model with

      @tedadamgreen agreed completely. I think the 4kp is a great products and great value even if it is pricey. I hope they can figure out a way to achieve the sales they need.

    Maybe...JUUUSST maybe...the Vpinball market isn't big enough to warrant putting out a 1500+ VPinball machine, and THAT's why people didn't buy it, and there was at least SOMETHING to the strategy A1up tried, which was to put out a much cheaper unit (that still didn't sell that way). Keep in mind, the MUCH cheaper HD Pinball units didn't exactly sell bonkers ether, and they were notorious for being sold at crazy discounts.

    You are right 4k is trash we tried to tell them to just do 1440 p if you want real 4k pinball, you have to spend a lot more money

    Don't really care for pinball but it's interesting to see how a company fumbles a product without being aware of the economic climate and targeted audience. I wonder if they consult multiple specialists before going "all in" on something like this??

    why do people say it's not a good idea to finance something with 0% interests if paid off in time?

    • @peteg475
      @peteg475 2 дні тому +1

      No idea. Seems like a good option to me.

    • @JamesHatesEverything
      @JamesHatesEverything  2 дні тому +1

      @spectri1990 if you are already planning on making the purchase, 0% financing is good for the consumer because of simple economic principle of Time Value of Money.
      This principle is based on the idea that money can be invested and earn interest over time, meaning that a dollar received today has the potential to grow in value compared to a dollar received later on.

      @@JamesHatesEverything I didn't think of that but that is smart. I was just thinking of people budgeting correctly. after the 600$ initial payment the payments are 65$ a month. I was planning on paying 100 to 200 a month on that payment plan. with only paying the required 65 a month and putting the rest in another account just in case something happens ill have some payments saved up already. once I had enough money saved to pay it off I would pair it with the last month payment and be done with it in 6 months or less

    • @JamesHatesEverything
      @JamesHatesEverything  2 дні тому +2

      @spectri1990 yeah, and I believe if you pay it off early you save an extra 3%. Do invest the balance pay over time, then pay off early and depending on investment you could save up to 10% on the initial cost. With interest on investment and the early payoff.

    Do you think AtGames will scrap the 4k? If so, what happens if you own one? I have not purchased yet but seriously considering.

    • @JamesHatesEverything
      @JamesHatesEverything  День тому +2

      @shawnholloway2410 No. I think they need to figure out how to make it a success. It's the best thing they ever made. They just need to find away to market it successfully. I think the company's future is tied to the 4kp.

    I was interested in this, but just couldn't pull the trigger because of the asking price. It's more than I want to spend to play games I already own that I'll have to purchase again. My Xbox controller also vibrates so I already have an sfx kit lol.

    I never understand the selling point of the atgames machines, why not just buy a custom virtual pinball machine which plays all vpx tables, future pinball tables, and FX tables???

    • @peteg475
      @peteg475 2 дні тому +7

      Because from what I've seen, buying such a thing or building your own is substantially more expensive than 2 grand. Tell me I'm wrong. I have an Atgames 4kp, but I would never spend 4 grand or more on what you're describing. I'm the kind of person that the 4kp was made for - I can afford their price point, but I just can't pay for anything significantly more expensive than that. I also have no interest messing with an expensive PC and playing through a cabinet that way. Much of the online community is willing to do that, but people like me, not to mention Joe Average consumer, just aren't and don't want to be bothered with that. They just want to turn the thing on out of the box and play.

    Bought the first had version. It’s cool but never play it. This thing isn’t even 120hz it’s bad. 4k is a lie unless it’s pc connected. I may buy their next version if it’s got the good hz.

    • @peteg475
      @peteg475 2 дні тому +5

      Again, for clarity: "4K" is not a lie. The native Zen tables are less than 4K, but the native Magic Pixel tables ARE 4K.
