I'm glad that you found a scrapyard that offered you a decent price for all that copper you've stored. It's heartbreaking when they try and pull the wool over your eyes after all that work you put into acquiring all that copper. Nice work, Mike!
My yard was really good until a New crowd took them over and started offering ridiculous prices.30c domestic Aluminium, 30c car batteries, $1.00 for brass, just not worth it. They took over the other scrapyard as well so we have no choice but to go to them
Yes that was a great pay day, well earned. $2.50 for extruded is a great price, I asked where I go, and Its $2.05. I just took in a bit of No2 Light Iron, It is $180/ton, less $55 waste levy, it keeps going up. I just had to get rid of it, but I will avoid collecting any No 2 in the future. 👍
Yes, it is almost a waste of time collecting #2 shred isn't? I have the same problem here, too. Especially now that most people are environmentally driven and gased appliances will soon be highly scrutinized. Thanks for letting me know what you get for extruded.
@@MicroScraprMike Hey Mike, I actually went to the scrap yard today, more steel again #1 and HMS. Took some Cast ally @ $1.70/Kg, Alloy rim @ $2.50/Kg and Insulated clean wire is $4.00/Kg (great) !!
Great video
Thanks 🙂
👍

That was a nice amount of copper Mike.
Thanks, Todd. I had been storing that up for a wee while. Good result at the end.
@@MicroScraprMike great result.
Nice payday.
My new yard gave me a good price and none of the rhetoric of "oh this is aluminium" etc etc. Thanks for watching.
@@MicroScraprMike yeah they sound like crooks. Glad you found a better yard. You’re welcome!
