Thank you so much for this wonderful meditation! I used to practice meditation every day, but after a negative experience at my temple, I stopped. This was the perfect re-introduction for my daily meditation practice. Thank you very much. 🙏

"The body, too, should stay firmly composed, and not fling itself about either in motion or at rest. Just as the mind displays qualities in the face, keeping it intelligent and attractive, something similar should be required of the whole body. But all this should be secured without making an obvious point of it." - Marcus Aurelius

Man used his conventional mindset to dissect a concept that is nondual and nonconceptual. His book ' why I quit guru yoga' is example of how he lets his projection of right and wrong govern him or trap him, and then guided by his deluded projection, goes on to dismiss many aspects or stories of guru yoga as fable. Unwilling to undergo hardships for the sake of enlightenment he dismisses whole idea of guru yoga. Would Gandhi have achieved what he did without pain and suffering? This privileged white guy doesn't want to go through struggles to achieve what he said he set out to achieve. A white person comes with his Eurocentric mindset and instead of leaving that baggage of perception and influence, and trying to break his conventions and dual mindset, he goes on to further his delusional projection; further his duality. Maybe he can fool some white people but not those that are born and grow up in Buddhist families with Buddhist education

You seem to be burdened by the mental habit of putting people into boxes according to their skin colour. This form of prejudice indicates a much greater flaw in your perceptions and judgements than in those of Stephen Bachelor. Anyone who would type "A white person comes with X mindset" needs to triple how long they are meditating as they are absolutely buried in an illusion.

@@dungeoneerofphilosophyphd172 Yes, every person in a group is X way because they were born in a certain place or with a certain skin color. Very logical and reasonable.

This dude practices selective Buddhism, which is not how it works. learning meditation techniques in such way will help one generate temporary peaceful sensation but in the long run, this is of no use. Idk why and how people like him become so popular.

I think the Theravadans would accuse all other Buddhist practitioners of practicing 'selective Buddhism'. How is what Steven doing any different than other forms of Buddhism that developed across Asia long after the death of the Buddha?
