Very nice. Great, easy tip! I have started using sisal twine because it will decompose after a season before any girdling can occur.

I have 2 peach trees 21 inches a parts that have never produced a peach I believe there 3 or 4 years old.

Maybe they weren’t pollinated due to temperatures or frost.
If you have neighbors with peach trees, you could check with them and see if they had the same experience.

I agree with climate change. It's not all bad. Some of the extra warmth will help fruit trees stay alive in North American winters.

It is actually a huge problem because the fruit trees are breaking dormancy extremely early and then getting hit by frosts that kill buds and all fruit for the season. Entire Blueberry farm near me in Michigan lost all fruit to frosts because warm temps caused them to break dormancy too early. Many trees evolved to need several months of cold weather, too- Apples, ect. need cold winters.
