Great job on the review! Some good scouting at TFL!
This kid has some potential. He brings a much different feel that TFL could use.
Looks like he’s going to have a future in front of the camera good job 👍
I agree with you
Yezer
👍🏻
I'm cracking up at how everyone noticed how much of a natural this kid is! I love all the tfl guys, but hes a good calm balance. Hopefully a beautiful lady who is as good as this kid will be next.
I like this guy a lot. Bring him on more often 👍🏾
Hire him. Very good
He did an Awesome job on the review of his car...Im glad Roman hired him...He's going do really good.
My Mazda 3 is a 2011 manual. Almost 300000 km. Still running strong.
300000 km in 9 years @_@
Mazda produced a great looking car in this generation of 3, the hatch is a styling masterpiece in the segment.
What silencer have you installed? Sound good for the car capacity.
I'm waiting the dealer call me to get a car Mazda 3 2014 isv sedan then need fixed and calling me. jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja
Wow you guys are the only UA-camrs to still do a long term review on this Mazda
Yeah I love it!
You have a ng Saab 9-5 Aero?!!
I'm the lucky fella who was able to purchase this car from Kase, and let me tell you he's an amazing person! The car is in tip top shape and well he's just a super cool dude. Definitely made a great impression, I hope he's not just an intern anymore he deserves more! Hope all is well Kase can't wait to see you in more videos with TFL!!
Wait so you own the car in this video?
Dude Mazda rocks. u can’t go wrong with them
👍👍👍😎
True!!!
Your an absolute natural in front of the camera. Great review. Love my 2015 Mazda 6 speed
Seems like a good kid, and had good on camera presence.
He did a great job. :) I appreciate the intentionality in bringing in a younger cohort of presenters (no shade on everyone’s favorite Russian)!
the '14 design language still holds up!
Love the mods you've done. Very tasteful.
Good job on the review. I’ve recently grown to love the styling on that gen Mazda 3. I had a 2014 Mazda 6 with a manual and a couple mods that I ended up selling, but I still miss driving that car at times.
You guys should hire this guy!!!.
This looks better than the 2020 hatchback, especially the C-pillars.
Damilola Akanni it’s why I can’t trade me 2015 Mazda3 hatchback in for the new one
Debatable.
@@kevinW826 why would you trade a car lmao
@@neilpirelli9240 if its financed and you want them to pay it off trading in is one of the best options
@@kevinW826 that’s funny - I actually had a 20 3 hatch at one point and now just got a 15 3 hatch. Would you believe the 15 3 hatch (it’s the top trim) has some features that my 20 3 hatch didn’t have? Both are extremely fun to drive!
Great review! Looking forward to seeing more from this new reviewer!
Used to work across the street from where you're filming. Nice car! Have the '15 sedan with 2.5 6MT. And I pretty much have all the same mods as you. You nailed it. Great little car. That factory appearance package is sweet. Wish I had that. Thanks for sharing! Maybe I'll see you around boulder sometime.
Great Review! I like this guy's presentation style.
Alex and Tommy have a 3rd Musketeer. The Trio should be making some great videos together in the future. Young blood will appeal to audiences in their age bracket for informative, intuitive view points that will carry your channel into the future. Good choice for TFL. ;)
5:47 if you want the features of this car with more rear seat room, the Mazda 6 would be a great option.
@Damilola Akanni...you forgot one very important feature that can't be had on the Mazda 6, the hatch. It's a shame Mazda never offered the existing wagon version of the 6 in North America..looks great and more utitlity than the 3 hatchback.
Proud 2015 Mazda 6 GT owner here, there fantastic cars.
jbm0866 they want their crossovers to sell that’s why
Very well done review! Looking forward to his future on the TFL team! Put this man in more videos!
Post2Post Productions he live in GA. How? Look at car license plate!
Excellent job, excellent review!
Awesome review I would watch you anytime. TFL make him a regular!
This is one of the only reviews I managed to find online for the automatic. I'm considering buying a used one so I really appreciate this review (wish you would have spoken a little bit about driving with this transmission). I also like that you didn't waste time talking about plastics and bottle holders.
Ugh that’s the worst. I barely even think about that stuff but reviewers spend like 1/2 the review talking about interior plastics.
Tell me how it drives, technology, ect;
I got a black 2014 iSport hatchback back in 2015 brand new - so the most barebones Mazda 3 you could get. I've had it for almost 10 years now, and only put about 75k miles on it. But it still drives like an absolute dream, and is still BONKERS FUN up until this very day! I have so much fun bullying a lot of fast drivers on the NJ, PA, & NYC highways around me🤣 While I will never be able to literally keep up with most cars on the road, you'll still catch me blast 80+ mph on the highways often, blasting by most drivers. The car only really "feels" slow when you're trying to accelerate. But when you're already flying fast, and you still feel how much control you have with this car, that's how you know you are driving an incredible machine ❤
I feel bad that I want to trade mine in for the new Mazda 3 Turbo....
Very detailed and clear review
Quite literally sitting in a dealership getting one of these because of this video. Great job
The future of TFL. I like it. Great review
Very professional i hope the will give you more air time. Your review almost literally described my experience with my work commuter which is 14 Mazda 2, i do over 100 miles a day and every single one is fun in this little car
I had a 2014 just like this, with the i-eloop system. It is one vehicle that I always wish I had kept. The miata bug hit me and I traded it for the 2016 when it came out. I really like your style of review, it was really easy to watch.
Saw someone else with a pre refresh 6 with the i-eloop and without skipping a beat mentioned it already went out, but the rest of the car is problem free.
My 2016 6 just hit 70k miles and other than increasingly audible general wear/tear items, absolutely nothing even moderate other than the low profile tires needing replacement pretty quickly...
Do you recognize if this trim level was the same as yours? I cant tell if it's the same as one I want to buy
Thanks for this review! The car looks epic 😍😍
Great review! I own a POC 2015 mazda 3 iGT. Same amount of mileage as you! I love it!
Great review and camera man
Wow Kase did a amazing job i can see him doing car reviews and testing for many years in the future. Hope to see more of him in front of the camera and i have to say do like the mods that were done to the car maybe not the tail lights but other than that great stuff.
I’m loving my 2017 Mazda 3. Wish I got the Hatch with the 2.5 but oh well. The 2.0L has been great too.
Love your review !
This guy is a good future TFL reviewer
My mom recently got a 2018 3 top trim hatch. And man its such a nice car. The auto trans is nice too. The torque converter locks right away which makes it feel way more “sporty”, sense itll keep revs sense the motor and trans are in linked together, plus it responds pretty fast when using it in “manual” mode. Big plus when in cruise control, itll downshift and upshift as needed to maintain speed. Its got some dunlops and its very nice. Handles great. And rides well.
This guy sure can review a car! Great job
Great reviewer, a welcome addition to the TFL team! I just wish you got into more detail of ownership costs, reliability and any annoying issues a buyer should be aware of.
Great review !!
Alright TFL, more Kase 🙂. His first review was excellent, and what made his first review everything was reviewing his daily driver. He's southern, so that in itself is awesome, and I was like yeah solidarity seeing Kase is from Georgia. I went to college in North Carolina, and I love southerners. I too also have a 2014 model year car that's my daily driver, a VW Jetta 😁. Again, excellent review Kase.
Great review man.
Brillant and thoughtful review.
This young man is going places.
I have a Mazda 3 sedan from 2014 and very much agrees with your observations except that the sedan really is looking more spiffy compared to the hatch.
Very nice review, hope to see more from him in the future.
Wonderful explanation!! This guy did a wonderful job!
Nice review, can you please tell me when it is recommended to change the transmission oil for the automatic gear?
I got my first car at the beginning of this month and im absolutely in love 14 MZ3 Manual with 117kms on her and im absolutely in love! A ton of fun but not enough fun to get me into any trouble😂
I installed BC BR coilovers on a low and stiff setting. It reduced the body roll considerably and with some motegi alluminum wheels and firestone indy 500 summer tires shes driving amazing.
Nice vid! I have a 2018 and agree with all your points.
BTW What exhaust is that? Corksport?
Great review of one of my favorite hatchbacks.
A few years ago my dad purchased a 2014 mazada 3, i believe it was the touring version with a 2.0 l motor and manual transmission, and that transmission was really a pleasure to drive.
Nice car & review my dude! Mazda's are one of my favourite makes of cars.
lovely content
The engine cover has two cup holders. Great!
Awesome review man 👌👊 how did get apple car play or Android on to your screen? I just picked up the 2014 Mazda 3 GT hatchback love it so far
Excellent job young man
I've got a 2014 GT at the top trim and engine level. Only 3 problems in 6 years. There was an issue with the belt tensioner having a sharp edge that snapped the belt twice. The battery froze, which I actually think is caused by my block heater possibly not working. The infotainment center sometimes goes haywire and selects random functions. Other than that it has been a very reliable car for 140,000 km. Very happy with it. Now if only Mazda would build a pickup truck again I would trade it in.
We have a 2017 Mazda 3 Sedan with the 2.5 and manual transmission. My wife has already put about 70,000 miles on it in less than 3 years and it has been problem free! Great car and super fun to drive!
Nice review!!!!
I’ve had my 07’ for a little over a year and I LOVE IT
bought my '07 for a little over a week and like it. Only have 96K miles on it
tangel476 wow. Mine had 142k on it. I’m pushing 155k now
@@geegergwisley7977 automatic or manual transmissiion:?
tangel476 sadly an auto but the trans is in great shape. It’s got the 2.3
Great review
Love my 2015 2.0L 6-spd manual Mazda 3! I'm in my 50s ... best daily driver I've ever owned!
My 2018 Mazda 3 Touring is an awesome little car! Quick, handles well & dependable. I’m thinking of upstanding to the new body style or a Mazda 6. Mazda truly makes one of the best interiors for the money.
I got the 2021 mazda 6 Kuro Edition ( or Carbon Edition) I love it
I had a ‘15 Mazda3 for over 2 years. One of the nicest looking AND surprisingly economical drives I’ve ever owned. If our family hadn’t made a priority of camping in a travel trailer, I’d still be driving my Mazda3 hatchback.
Like you, the only down side I knew for my mid-level version was road noise. Even mine with the 2.0L was plenty fast with the 6 sped auto. You just had to make the request with a small lead time so the trans dropped a gear and let the motor spin up. Sweet ride, and great review!!
You would be happy/surprised to know your review did actually make me consider and by a 2015 Mazda3 myself. Just got it yesterday!😂
Good job on this video 👍🏻
Looking at a 2014 6 speed manual. This was a great intro to the car. Nice job!
Great review, Love my 2016 Mazda 3 GT, best car. I modded with wheels exhaust intake and body kit. More to come.
I have a 2015 Mazda 3 with the 2.5 and a manual. Currently just below 80k miles and still going strong. What lowering springs/kit did you use?
I've got a 2013 with 140k miles on it. It's my commuter car and I love it! Will probably get a new version in a few years. Hoping to get this one up to the 250-300k range before getting rid of it.
update?
@@countlesskicks5671 It’s at 174,000 right now. Still kicking along.
are we on 200k or over now? all going good with the car?
@@JaspreetSingh-ig6wp one month ago it was at 174k so I’m pretty sure it’s not at 200k my guy
@ Matthew Norton, with your current mileage have you had any issues associated with carbon build up in the sky active engine? Since these are direct injected only, I was wondering if people with high mileage have experienced issues? I'm asking because there have been a few for sale in my area but I've held back only for the issue of carbon build up. Thanks!
You guys didn’t even talk about mileage or maintenance or how the interior and leather is holding up
I know. Its not so much a long term review as it is this guy justifying his purchase, 6 years later. I have a 2014 hatch that I got 2 years ago, in march of 2018. Theres things I would say other than "It has this nice wheel here", or "look at my tires!".
I mean....I'd say having "I wish" and "I enjoy" notes is a decent long term review. Sure the content could be a little more thorough, but overall it's not bad. I'd say maintenance and reliability would be the only thing I'm really missing. That said, the fact that nothing stood out as particularly bad? That says good things too. Same with the materials.
Theres not too much to say honestly, the mileage and maintenance has been what you would probably expect. around 30mpg as advertised and nothing but regular maintenance. The only flaws with the interior are the center console armrest hinge which breaks easily and some creaks and rattles.
@@coleG112 it's a pretty solid car that I would (and do) recommend to most people. However, the car is what it is. By the I mean that there are essentially no meaningful mods you can do to this car.
Good job with review
Have the 2016 2lire astina auto at 75000km. What size tires are you using and have you changed the transmission fluid? Would you add a oil catchcan?
The seats in my 2015 Mazda3 fold flat. I have to get the handbrake cable replaced this year, new tires for summer, the transmission fluid changed, the weather stripping in the driver door frame replaced and the trim piece at the top of the driver door replaced. I was just in for the oil change and the brakes are still in good shape, the suspension is fine. Love my car.
Beautiful review. I love the fart noises it makes. I am in between the 6 speed manual or 6spd auto. I have been looking at this gen for a few weeks as I will be using it as my daily. Retiring a high mileage Yaris and ready for something a little more fun.
Liked this review and he does present differently to the usual high energy or comedic presentation we get from tfl. I honestly prefer this for long term reviews. My question is, does or did Mazda have semi annual servicing included for 3 years in your purchase price/acquisition cost? Reason I ask is here in our side of the world, Mazda calls it Yojin3 where you don’t have to pay anything for your first three years of Periodic Maintenance Service with some notations about limitations of course
And since he has clocked around 40,000 miles, were there any major repairs outside of usual wear and tear parts and fluid changes?
I'm looking into a used one of these with the 6pd manual. I am concerned about the issues with direct injection, have you had your intake cleaned? I noticed you don't have an oil catch can on you pcv hose. Anyone have more input on this?
I have a pretty simular setup except its a black 2016 with a manual with a tune, borla exhaust, intake and lowering springs with around 205 hp, for me its been great so far.
Great review, how many kms/miles on your car?
I was actually looking for one of those !
Great job👍
Well done, well done. Good luck kid! You have great potential. Nice ride of course.
Get this kid on the main channel doing reviews!
Nice review.
I got 53000 miles on my 2016 astina. In south africa we only got the 2 litere sky active engine and it only came in a 6 speed auto... Ive kept mine completely stock same castrol 5w30 oil always but ive only had to top it once... It doesnt burn oil i am just worried theve never changed the transmission fluid or spark plugs. I want to keep the car forever. Its really had no issues beside premature brake pad wear and a few cracks on the driver plather seat. Was also wondering that since its a GDI will it benefit from an oil catch can?. It jerks very slightly when i pull away after a cold start
Awesome review. Confidence and knowledge help you knock it out of the ballpark. Sucks tho that the area you live in is going to rust the hell out of it.
Great and accurate review! Good job!
My wife has a 2015 2.0L Mazda 3 sedan and I'd say I agree with your review. My biggest complaint is the road noise, but the fuel economy and handling make up for it. It's a great car for around town, but I would not want to do a 10-15 hour road trip in it.
303MoTo I have done 2 8 hour road trips in my 2015 Mazda3. No issues, never felt tired or sore. The seats were totally comfortable. I love my Mazda3
@@kevinW826 i think it really depends on the tires, in the summer i have perellis on my 2016 and it rides well and is quiet but my winter tires (michelin) are really loud and ride very stiffly
Alessio M I used Pirelli pzeros 235/40/18 and I had no problems. They were really smooth surprisingly. Right now I’m just using Hercules avalanche. They are quiet winters despite being a blocky winter tire.
Alright Kase bringing the heat
Nice looking car and great review.
Hopefully my 2019 CX 5 will age beautifully like this 3
Great Review 👍,I'm looking at purchasing a 2017/18 Grand touring hatch
i have a 07 mazda3. i'm so happy with this car. in few year i want to change to 3rd generation of mazda3. really nice car. rear lag room is bit shame.
Xclnt job! I currently have a 2014 S Touring sedan. Nailed everything I love about mine and hit on the very same thing I wish were different, manual transmission.
Good review. 👍 Gets to the point without a lot of excess histrionics.
You said you drove it across the country. How comfortable was it over long distances?
As comfortable as you can be on a 21 hour drive from Atlanta to Boulder. I would say its borderline too easy on the highway, it can definitely get a little boring.
@@kasevr There's no way I would drive 21 hours in any car, no matter what, unless she was really something special....
Thanks for the answer.
I also had a soul red sGT with the appearance package. It had a 198k miles and was paid off after 5years. Got it when it first came out. Was a hell of a car and I still miss it to this day. I got rid of it to get a 2019 Mazda6 Signature.
Hi, I have a 2016 mazda top spec which I bought new, please consider your options carefully before buying. Don't rely on looks. I have had a few issues with my mazda 3 that the dealership refused to fix for free in spite of the warranty. Currently there's my tensioner that needs fixing, mazda fixed it for free about a year and a half ago, but the same issue is happening and now they want $800 to fix it. There's also my starter motor that they say is noisy and reccomend that I change at the "low" price of $550. Last year I changed my serpentine belt at mazda for the "cheap" price of $650. I love my mazda and the way they drive and always drive it very conservatively, but for the sake of my pocket, my next car will be a toyota.
solid job kase 🤩
