Ocelot does meow (he’s from the ocelot unit, it’s a viable strategy, apparently)

Okay so, the Snake that we see in Metal Gear Solid 3 is not "Solid Snake" from MGS 1,2 and 4 due to the event of MGS 3 taking place before any other Metal Gear game. The Snake in this game is known as "Naked Snake" before he was given the name "Big Boss" due to him saving America and killing his former mentor and what's basically his mother the "Boss".
Don't know why I bothered to type all of this out, but here's some knowledge I guess...
Then MGSV: Phantom Pain threw Venom Snake (IE: "Fake Big Boss") at us, the guy implied to be the one Solid Snake kills in the 1st game, a twist thrown so hard at us we played has him... oh yah & then there's "Liquid Snake" Solid Snake's clone-brother but I know very little about that since I only played MGSV & semi-watched a friend play the others.

Fun fact: The Fear's arrows are laced with Brazilian Wandering Spider venom, which causes a super painful erection. So, technically, Snake is horny through the ENTIRE boss fight, and even longer.

All the gun-twirling tricks were actually mocapped from a guy called "Tornado" Yoshida, you can find videos of him performing them.
Huh, didn't know they even had mo-cap tech for video games when this came out. 😯
And yes, compared to everything else, the flamethrower guy does feel more normal. 😅😁
My favorite fact about the SR-71 Blackbird (the stealth plane) is that it's supposed stealth capabilities were effectively obsolete by the time it entered service. This didn't really matter, though, because if the Soviets shot a missile at it the plane would just accelerate and go faster than the missile.
My second favorite is that its unique fusilage also meant that it's fuel tanks weren't airtight below a certain altitude, so it would be leaking fuel all the way down the runway and into the air until it hit it's safe altitude, at which point they would have to refuel it via tanker plane before it could leave American airspace.

After Death Stranding I can believe Kojima actually wanted the sniper boss mission to last 3 weeks in real life. Man imagine you are on your second week and 5 days in. Then your safe gets corrupted and you have to start the whole game all over.
The sorrow "afterlife" sequence that shows up killed enemies can be done when you have killed nobody because you can play (mostly) non-lethal, but the bosses appears regardless. It become just an empty walk with nothing happening for long sections.
Kojima did indeed wanted that fight to be so long that it takes 3 weeks IRL
The whole white flowers turning red after killing the Boss is what happens in that cutscene
Revolver Ocelot *is* crazy about America (not *this* crazy, though), mostly cowboy tricks, hence "revolver"; the first time Snake stopped him, he tried doing a revolver loading trick with a Makarov that jammed his gun; the second time, he brought a decorative piece and didn't account for the reduced ammo capacity, and learns from this by bringing two revolvers to his boss fight.
He also juggles three revolvers (one bullet in one revolver) as an intimidation tactic.
Oh yeah, and he does actually meow as a call to his Ocelot unit.
By the way, this game takes place in the 1960's (long beforethe events of MGS 1,2, 4, Revengeance, and the original Metal Gear games), and you aren't playing as Solid Snake. You are playing as Naked Snake, or Big Boss, the father/clone donor of Solid Snake. Big Boss is also the protagonist of MGS5 (or his mental doppelganger, Venom Snake). Also, based on your mini rant about your game object permanence, I would say that some of the bosses' AI is more realistic that Max0r thinks
As far as I know most people consider this the best mgs game

11:46 - The D-21 was carried by a YF-12A interceptor prototype, and was designed to launch, take photos, and return. The body of the aircraft is also its engine, and its controls are extremely limited - wedging a person between the ramjet and the skin at Mach 3.3 would be as comfortable as a panini press.
The fourth launch from an m-12 came back and broke the mothership in two - at 11:48 we see the UAV directly below the M-12. This is less than optimal.

Ok so the thing about the gun juggling is that it's basically a crazy form of Russian roulette. Ocelot put one bullet in one of the three guns and it's basically what u would expect. If he dry fires six times the person gets to live. It's basically his way of interrogating someone.
I actually find Ocelot's multiple guns Russian roullette to be fascinating, because there are layers of luck at play. There are three, or two guns, and only one of the chambers in one of the multiple guns is actually loaded. So for a gun to fire, you needed to pick the gun with a bullet in the chamber, and fire the bullet in one of the 6 chambers. Realistically speaking, Ocelot is incredibly kind for giving you such high odds in your favor. It's almost impossible to fire that shot.
Let's say there are three guns, each with 6 chambers. There are 18 possible places for the bullet to be in. But it's actually 6x3, not just 18, because you have to pick the right gun first before even possibly finding the bullet. That is a metric ton of bad luck required for the bullet to be fired into you.

The name Revolver Ocelot is because in Metal Gear Solid 1 (2? One of the earlier ones) he is using revolvers.
At the end where you duel Ocelot a way to win when you actually choose correct gun use 5 of the 6 shots. Ocelot asks why you didn't do the last shot then Snake smirks at him.
I know what that's like, the no AC in high heat thing, half of the houses I've moved to haven't had one which is odd cause... you know for a house in a friggin prairie know for high 20's to low 30's Celsius.
Solution: Buy a portable AC unit for myself while room-mates try to raise their speech skill on the landlord

hey man we all forget about enemies who we think we have killed only for them to shoot you with a rocket launcher/throw a grenade at the worst possible time.

The SR-71 Blackbird was made out of carbon fiber and titanium the only reason why so few exist is cuz they literally disintegrated because of the speed they were going at they had no weapons to make it as light as possible

In part because the US didn't have enough titanium to make them and so the CIA had to set up a complicated network of front companies to trick the Soviet Union into selling it to them. Also the fuel was unique to the aircraft and one of the most expensive grades of jet fuel ever certified (only the boronated fuel for the XB-70 was more costly).

The game actually have a camouflage system that you have to MANUALLY CHANGES and the optimal pattern changes every 5 steps. Yes, it is horrible.
So to help explain somethings, Ocelot's gun spinning isnt just for show, its used as distracting tactic well. His meows that he does are actually alert signals for the other KRU members, which is why Snake so quickly beat him down, basically Ocelot called in the rest of his elite squad to blow Snake's cover. Another thing is that despite how campy he is, Ocelot is genuinely one of the most fearsome members of the bad guys in Snake Eater. As seen when he threatens Sokolov with three revolvers at once without at all losing focus. His aim and control with firearms is nearly unmatched and as seen in his and Snake's second battle they were basically even before The Pain showed up.
Second thing is revolving (no pun intended) around The Cobras themselves, this is less of concrete fact and more of a theory but their special abilities, aka mutations, were in theory caused by exposure to nuclear radiation, with the Boss herself obviously being the perfect test subject out of the batch.
First point is nonsense and the second isn't canon. Canon is their abilities are due to da parasiiiiiiiites from MGSV.

Kojima always wanted to make a James Bond move, but he sucks at writing scripts, so no one hired him, then he tried it with video games but he was still bad at writing scripts so Konami forbid him to make games
no bad mechanics in MGS3 are on the same level as bad game design in a from software game, its peak Kojimatism in the parts where they get him away with pushing those elements. The difference is that metal gear solid 3 has a plot and is an actual good game with a good challenge level despite the bad gameplay while from soft are janky messes with no stories and borderline unplayable along with being easy as F
