As a kid the name Jetfire just struck a cord in me. I didn’t realize it then, but this characters gray area of reasoning really challenged right vs wrong reasoning. Which was hard to do in an 80’s cartoon. He was always a character of honor.
Ever since I saw the "Revenge of the fallen" movie when I was a kid, I've think Jetfire is one of the coolest, and my favorite transformer ever. His appearance in the Michael Bay movie is just so sick, and so is his Sr-71 form!
I actually like Jetfire’s character more in the bayfilms. I like him being more of a grey area sort of figure who’s old and has pretty much seen it all. Most likely he changed sides just to get away from the other decepticons. He’s bitter but very wise.
i dont know if you know this yet but theres a easter egg, the term "three knights" is also referring to skids, mudflaps and bumble bee which, opened the blocked door when bee stopped the arguement between the twins
I had the Jetfire toy while the cartoon was calling him Skyfire and he was still basically a red and white F-14 with no horizontal stabilizer or elevator...with his head hanging below like a gun pod...

I find it strange that the Smithsonian Air And Space museum near Washington DC connects directly to the airplane graveyard in Tucson Arizona as its backyard

Joined along with autobots during operation firestorm in Egypt jetfire stand for the good of the resistance but on his own decisions he knows what the fallen was after some crucial to his plans with Megatron and his army he guided Sam and the gang to the tomb of the 3 king doorway to get the matrix of leadership before the fallen do to destroy the earth's sun jetfire gave his life to Optimus to destroy the harvester at the pyramid of giza and took out the fallen for good except for Megatron Wanderd off unseen in defeat along with starscream.
Is it just me OR did Jetfire ALWAYS (even from his earliest iteration in these comic screens) have the cockpit windows of the SR-71 on his head/visor???

Right, the only reason he showed up in a Bayverse was to be old, falling apart and not want to/be able to fight. BFD. The only reason he was there was to be killed off and the scrapped so Prime could get his armed Jet-pack. If anything, TRUE fans wanted to see him be badass in a fight. But non of the other characters were able to ever outshine Super Prime. And nonne of the character that were bigger than him were allowed in the movie either.

@@elishaschoonover8914 Jetfire was Produced as a Macross Vf-1, and Then Robotech- Takara toys didn’t even change his face until it was stateside. It could even do the Guardian mode from Robotech (badass) The only thing this Jetfire got right is switching sides to the autobots- Although it was starscream that was the last straw, not the fallen. Just saying it was a missed opportunity to ring in some fans with an easter egg

In the 80s I was a big Transformers fan, and my best piece was Jetfire, the toy was huge, sturdy, and the essence of the 80s.
An SR-71 being his vehicle form is also one of his most badass traits,
