That could be why the Lovell Sisters gave up on bluegrass and evolved into Larkin Poe who consistently show views into the hundreds of thousands by playing more mainstream rock. You don't find too many bluegrass videos where the banjo(Allison Brown) and lead guitar(Molly Tuttle) make Sierra Hull's mandolin lead an afterthought in spite of her typically marvelous beginning break.
Ever since we met Missy at a concert in Oregon years ago we thank God for her and her music. She keeps getting better and better. Missy begins my day and usually ends it every day with her calming inspiring songs. Thanks Missy! Your friends here are amazing together!
Hi Tony, So nice of you, thank you!! I'm sorry to be SO late in responding to this. I'm grateful for you listening to my music. Hope you are well and safe.
One of the many reasons that I love this genre is how the artists support one another. The artists collaborate with each other and mentor young artists coming up. The way things ought to be.
Missy is appearing at France's LaRoche Bluegrass Festival 2019 with the makeshift Della Mae band members Celia Woodsmith, Jenni Lyn Garner, and Kimber Ludiker.
A million Dollar Band of Strings and Wings. GREAT JOB loved every string Pluck, Bow Pull and Voice. Can't express how great it was in words. I may be old but I can still appreciate GREAT Music when I hear it.
These people are consummate professionals all. Start with such a wonderful song, and the result can only be superb. So dynamic, yet so balanced. The whole exceeds the sum of its parts while each part is in itself a beautiful whole. Kudos!
I’ve just rented a bass and stumbled upon Missy Raines’ online bluegrass bass teaching through ArtistWorks. She is a warm and genuine teacher, and it’s awesome to hear how those qualities come through on her music as well.
Superb video! Really hope this award winning "team" gets a name for themselves when they play the main stage at the IBMA "Wide Open Bluegrass" festival in a few month in Raleigh, North Carolina. This very band will be playing with special guest Gillian Welch sometime between September 25 - 29th, 2018. As much talent in this aggregation as was in Strength In Numbers back in the day as far as I'm concerned. It would be so cool to have a "public rehearsal" or two during the Bluegrass Ramble, too. The Ramble could use a little more promotion to get people downtown but once they experience it, like me, you are hooked. There is nothing like what the IBMA has put together in acoustic music as far as I'm concerned other than stuff that takes place on ships for floating festivals.
Wow. I found your channel through a fan of Molly's. I subscribed. You are all so wonderfully talented. You bring me joy instantly. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Robert, I'm the bass player and the one singing lead! That's Sierra Hull playing mandolin, Molly Tuttle on guitar, Becky Buller playing fiddle! Thanks for tuning in.
This song was featured on KXCI 91.3 in Tucson
That's not a Band its an All Star Team. I honestly can't find a thing not to like about this song. Perfect Song, Arrangement and Performance.
Fur Sur!
First time I’ve heard missy’s voice, absolutely lovely. Great “backing group “ as well. 😂🇬🇧👍
Considering the talent on display in this video it should have 100 thousand views by now.
Amen - what a crew of talent this is!!!
Because title only says Missy Raines

Great, "push the envelope" talent is rarely appreciated by masses.

Glad "Swept Away" received the honor it deserved at the IBMA event!

I agree! It's so important to support each other!
These are the best of the best in bluegrass...
Certainly some of the best of the best. To get pickier would be childish. They are all great instrumentally, vocally etc., fine people.
Just saw Missy in concert at The Floyd Country Store in Floyd, VA. I was "Swept Away"!
