Cool. Heads up...I've learned the hard way, not to combine fuel in the same sealed container as my other gear. Changes in pressure from heat, cold and altitude changes cause fuel vapor to leak out and saturate everything else in the container. Have fun.
The second he put the fuel in there i thought "hell no". BAD IDEA. Who wants to get miles and miles in the middle of nowhere and when you unpack to set up camp, everything is drenched with gas? Not Me!
I towed a B.O.B. Yak around off and on for about 10-12 years behind various bicycles. Was a pisser to have to sell them. Basically almost never really needed my car if time was not a premium. You just pretty much singlehandedly solved how to turn a lightweight sub-frameless enduro bike into an adv rig. Nice work.
Looks neat. The only things that i would change is a langer wheel for highway use and relocation of the side fuel container to the front or the back of the box so that if you tipp over you will not risk a fuel leak.
That's my thoughts exactly if he loads on a left hand turn that pack is going to be dragged along the ground and have a good chance of a rupture. Throw in sparks thrown up from the frame and you've got a road fire. And it won't be long before the other container gos boom.
Doppppe! 1 suggestion is, add some brake lights to the trailer... it's much easier than you think to connect them up just splice them to your rear brake light. would give anyone trailing behind you more signs of slowing down/stopping.. just a thought i know this video is old, but i just came across it
That's pretty cool. I love seeing the WR being used by tons of prime for tons of different things. It's definitely not my style but it's an awesome concept/idea for people who would get the use out of it. Much respect to the dude ripping through those beautiful trails like it was nothing with the trailer on!
Let me give some commentaries on your packing. All your heavy items should be as close to the wheel as possible and in the middle for better handling. You don't want to start breaking and your fuel pushing your bike to one side. And also keep your trailer as narrow as possible. You might forget about that rotapax, until you hit a tree trunk or concrete slab and then you gonna fell.
first thing I would do it fill the tire up with foam so it never goes flat. Because watching it corner I saw that it does not turn like a normal trailer. Instead the tire gets pushed side to side over the ground, so wear on the side walls is going to be high, an potential for rolling off the bead. But since it is just a small trailer tire I don't get how smooth it is, so fill it with foam and be done with it for ever.
Not a bad idea Greg. Don't forget, trail conditions and bumps etc can kick the trailer around. We have had such bad luck with flats last riding season on our bikes that we should do the foam idea
I have 2008 Piaggio mp3 250 and I looking for trailer add to it and I got a friend told me about SherpaX single wheel trailer but I think need special custom make for my bike!
Sure is a nice looking rig you have there, but with the front of the trailer having no suspension, the trailer is always going to have a very harsh ride. Suspend the front of the trailer from the bike frame.
Any idea how this would perform for extended highway use; like 1000s of miles? Will it handle sustained highways speeds of 75-80+? (I ride a '12 BMW F650GS (798CCs/71hp)
@@KIPMoto Thanks, I messaged you through your website with a few more questions as Tony Yeley, Sierra Foxtrot Golf is SFG for short fat guy! Is it safe to assume I would barely notice it behind a BMW F650GS at highway speeds? How much will it impact my fuel mileage?
Hi Frank. We've had bikes as small as the Honda CRF230 and Yamaha TW200 pull our trailers with ease. One of our in-house trailers is pulled by a Yamaha WR250R. Fully loaded you are looking at right around 90 pounds which is easy to pull by smaller bikes.
I used my SoundHound app to listen, but it didn't identify an artist. So, it's probably just incidental music, rather than a single off someone's album.
Kind of suspicious I noticed the gas can didn't have any gas in it hardly the one he put in the container leads me to believe the one on the outside is obviously empty wonder if they did that intentionally to save weight so it handles better
can they make a two wheeled in line trailer?..a center front wheel to share the hitch load better. or maybe it has to be a couple tilting wheels front or back with wieght shifted toward back. leaning fun. I want to bring a compact 40 pound generator with me.
Hi Pete, Thanks first off. Secondly, we are in an initial Pre-sales phase with the SherpaX offering up our first 6 trailers at a discounted price. If you'd like, we've got some information up on ADV Rider which can be seen here advrider.com/index.php?threads/sherpax-dual-sport-tow-behind-trailer.1188003/ or pop by our Facebook page facebook.com/kipmotocompany and we are always available via direct messaging. Just finishing up our website and getting it ready for launch. See you around Pete.
I feel like you could have better integrated the spare fuel with cannisters to the bike for a sleek look, and loaded the rest of the stuff into a decent sized givi top box with side panniers, and ditch the trailer completely. Unless I were using the trailer to haul twice the load I wouldn't even bother... But thats just me
That's kind of where I am, there might be a Few situations where the panier's top cargo Box passenger pillion and front saddle bags don't carry enough gear But this seems overkill for most Usage cases.

thought the same thing, but then as I watched,he was just proving a point an putting everything into the container.

pgirard26 thanks a lot! Seems like you've spent a lot of time towing around a trailer!
yeah no, that leaky gas can is not going in there with my other stuff.🤣

Thanks for the kind words +Mister Motard
Nice looking trails. Trailer handled them very well!
Can’t wait for mine. Upgraded tire and bearings should make it a durable little rig

Get a smaller tent and save room for beer!

I'd love to see a vid on how it mounts to the bike and technical stuff like suspension travel and turn radius
We'll see if we can get something together for you!

Hey bro. Great idea. Did you attach it to the swingarm"s wheel bolt?
Will this survive the BDRs?
Nice product, well done. Bike certainly handles nice.

Stick to 70mph
And it may need a brake light and turn signals.
Como faz para comprar uma dessa?
How many liters is that plastic cargo box ? It looks like it's over 100 liters .
Is that street legal in queensland?
When will these be back in stock for the TW200?
We are hoping to be soon. Please keep up with our Facebook or website for more information. Cheers
Nice...But what cc engine comfortably tows it without bogging down too much?

There’s a guy on UA-cam [QuasiMotard] who has a video of his buddy pulling this trailer with his Zumba 125 scooter.

It’s not a good idea to put your gas can in with your gear. Also, are your trailers just for dirt bikes or can scooters tow them as well?
ok... can it jump?
Hey can anyone tell me who the band is, or name of song starting at 2:50. Cheers

nice, I sent you an email. I have a 2016 Africa Twin, but it does not have a hollow axle, so would that work?
I want one
Anyone ever do any long distance (>3000mi) touring with this trailer?
I want to drive to Costa Rica or Panama after Mexico City, want this for camping gear storage.
I want one too.
What motorcycle are there?
Will they be less expensive than MotoMule?
Yes :) Check us out at www.kipmoto.com for more information
Does this need to be registered in Colorado? And could you make one for a 2001 ktm 640 LC4E?
Hi Dakota. I am not sure on Colorado registration. Would be best to check with your local office. Is your 01' KTM a hollow axle bike?

does it need a licence plate?
All depends on where you live Cole. Where abouts are you?
That's awesome, handles very well. Are they available to purchase?

I've tried to reach this site and to no avail. Same with moto mule never answers back
Get a smaller tent, more room for beer and condoms!! 😅
Muy bacano todo lo del mono rueda pero que tristeza como siempre el hombre ensañado con la naturaleza enfermo por destruir.
