Going to give a little input because I did recently purchase two N64 is from them, very recently. 1) The staff was indeed very friendly, how knowledgeable they are will vary depending on the representative. 2) I mentioned console mods on multiple occasions and they never brought up anything about a store service regarding those. I'm not sure why if that's something they advertise on their website. 2) I did have to open my consoles to shell swap. It doesn't look like they open them and clean them really but mine weren't too bad and they never promised to refurbish anyway, so just an FYI. They did say they tested them however, can't say if it's true or not but mine all did work fine. If you're getting a newer hotter running system probably worth checking thermal paste or whatnot, or at least confirm if that's something they do for those systems or not. 3) They sadly do the sticker warranty return nonsense FYI, be aware. So if you have trouble with a return because you opened the console/cart etc and end up returning it, they could potentially fight you on it. They do place the stickers in an area where they would impede your ability to get into the console which is a little sus. I have not experienced an issue with a return myself but it is something people should be aware of. You may need to remind them that it's illegal to do that if they are offering a warranty return window. 4) Their trade-in rates aren't great, though they are willing to haggle to a degree. Regardless don't expect all that much IMO. Be aware however if you're calling over the phone they will tell you they will only discuss trade in if you come into the store, as someone who lives in the adjoining state it was a little inconvenient. So try their email first I never saw the website before I went into their store I don't know if they handle it differently through there. It does sound like what they have on their website and what I heard in the store was a little inconsistent. Again be just be aware. In the end I didn't have a bad experience and they have a pretty decent selection and their pricing for what I was after wasn't horrible...... At least on some of the consoles. Games were....more of a mixed bag.
Another good review 👍🏼.. Big plus is the actual picture of the item whether it’s a cartridge or cases. Similar to JJGames. Prices are fair and reasonable for an online and physical store. Shipping is fair - starts around $5 based on weight on items totaling below $100. They are big on the convention retro gaming scene like PRGE and stream regularly on a live auction site platform.
I go here quite often its about an hour away. Sometimes their games on shelf can have old price tags and they will honor them. I got Castlevania curse of darkness for $15. they had two copies, the other was $40. Good place to shop. love the selection.
There's a few consoles we have, most were given away to other family members. I managed to at least marry into a super Nintendo family😂😭. I miss tank wars, Paperboy, and don't even get me started on all the games we no longer have from Sega Genesis, N64, and Xbox...got me motivated to buy the refurbished consoles, despite having the emulators. My oldest is wanting to get into some of the "retro" games like TNMT. So, it'll be great to start a retro setup in our forever home.
I like how they show the pictures of the actual games; my only issue is, on the disc based games, they don't show the disc itself. When I buy my games online, I'm not worried about scratching, unless its in the data portion of the disc. My main issue is with the condition of the inner hub(the clear plastic bit that attaches to the case), if cracks are forming in the hub its only a matter of time before it breaks while spinning in your system. However, just what their doing is leagues better than what DK Shiddies is doing.
Please cover east end gaming if possible ! Love them, they're so good to all their customers. Fair prices, quality products, I know for a fact they replace EVERY 72 pin in EVERY NES, no matter the quality or how new the one in there currently is. They let my band do a whole ass photoshoot there without charging us a dime. They remembered me by name even tho I moved for 2 years. They're so fucking good. PLEASE give them some air. I've never seen a store that deserves it more.

The two consoles I want to collect for (not an entire library, but a decent amount of games) are the PlayStation 2 and GameBoy Advance since they are my two favorite childhood consoles. How difficult/expensive is it to collect for the PS2 and GBA?
What models of ps2 and gba are you looking for? Og ps2, ps2 slim (they have 3 models), 1st gba, gba sp? I can give you info and where to check current price trends on the items.
