Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

We were just there last week (Jan 2023). I agree, every cruise ship always stops in Nassau and to us it's like the "NYC" of the islands. Pearl Island was a great private island excursion to relax and enjoy the amenities! They didn't have the trampoline in the water....but enjoyed the views, kayak and snorkeling! Highly recommend!

Speaking of that, do you know why they put the light-switch *outside* of the bathroom??
Well, it's because the bathrooms on cruise ships are *so small*
that there simply isn't any space inside the bathroom for the switch!!!

actually, it is kinda accurate because, no matter where they would put the switch inside the bathroom, you'd still be able to touch it while standing in the shower, so it's a safety thing!!

Same almost every cruise has gone to cozumel and I'm like ugh can we get a new stop! So luckily 2023 is Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos!

Agree it is exciting to meet people that watch your videos. We met our first viewers on our last cruise which was the Mariner and it completely caught us off guard. Oh and...we've started looking at the Allure just because you guys ate at Sabor in the first video plus she's coming to Galveston.
Allure is a great ship and Sabor was great. But what was even better was Samba Grill! Allure is one of only 2 ships that offer it!
Thank you for knowing that we stopped off at Coco Cay. I remembered waking up in the middle of the night and I could not understand why I could see another ship that was beside ours and was very confused as I thought we were moving towards Nassau

Funny, I was on that Freedom sailing in Nassau. Thought I recalled Allure being there with us and had to pause on your excursion card to see the date lol.

A lot of passengers choose to wear lanyards for their sea pass cards, but we use them to carry camera stuff.

Loving your videos. I came upon your channel looking for reviews on the Allure. We are looking at booking for Jan 2023. We currently have a Disney cruise planned for then, but looking for a cheaper cruise. Was your room noisy? A lot of motion on the aft? Our first cruise ( Disney 2019..Wonder) we were at the aft because we needed the handicap and the vibration was horrible. I was looking at midship but love that view :)
Our room was actually noisy when events/shows/bands were playing. It didn’t bother our sleeping but I can totally see it effecting someone who is a light sleeper, or someone who goes to bed early or sleeps in. In terms of vibration, I totally know what you’re talking about on the Disney Wonder, I’ve experienced the same thing. We didn’t notice any vibration on Allure. We had two days where the ship was rocking because of cold fronts coming through. But Allure will rock less than a Disney ship in weather like that.
Thank you for replying back. We do not go to bed early, but my daughter has medical issues so she does sleep in later. I am a light sleeper :). Good to know about the vibration and movement. It was horrible on the Wonder so we do have a midship booked on the Magic in January, but really..we can almost do 2 cruises for the price of one on a Royal. My daughter is a huge Disney fan, but looks like a lot too do on an Oasis ship. Thank you for posting these great videos.
Can I ask 1 more question..With the drink package..can you share? My daughter has severe gut motility and she can’t drink more than 6oz a day so spending $15 a day for her would be useless. Normally she will just takes sips of whatever I am drinking. Can I get away with just getting 2 drink packages for my husband and I or would I need to get one for my daughter. Thank you 😊
I think the normal rule is that everyone staying in the same cabin has to get the drink package. But we heard that if you contact Royal they might be able to make an accommodation for you. Yeah DCL is so much more expensive compared to Royal

We think it was around $100 per person. I would guess Carnival goes too

Do you find that 3 days is enough time to be on a cruise?
This is a good question. We feel that a day on a cruise is always better than a day sitting at home. So we would do any length cruise. But it helps that we live in FL. Not sure we would recommend someone flying from far away to do only 3 nights.
