The Knight and Spectre of the Black Rose combined to create one of the most gripping tales of the lands of the mists that I have had the pleasure to read, and this has been an excellent presentation. Thank you!
@@BlakeJackson2001 The Shadowborn Cluster is one of the most thematically satisfying collectiona of domains outside of the Core as they all share a common story. Personally I think Ebonbane is the least interesting Darklord in that cluster, and that's not a dig at Ebonbane so much as praise of the others, Morgoroth in particular is one of my favorites in the setting.
There are few words on UA-cam I look forward to as much as "ola pessoal". Hearing those words every few weeks, I know I'm in for a trip into the Mists with Gabriel.
Lord Soth was a much better darklord. Appropriately tragic fall from grace, and his time in the DragonLance setting was over with anyway. It's a shame that he was effectively ousted by copyright.
Indeed! It's a waste they returned him to Dragonlance just to be redeemed and die. He would be much better in Ravenloft. If you want to keep with the "official" lore and have Lord Soth, I would make the Blessed Knight fall from grace as well.
@@HouroftheRaven - I would just pretend the whole thing never happened. I have all the material on the realm of Sithicus with Lord Soth already, and WotC (thankfully!) doesn't even mention it anywhere in the new supplement. Reading through that last novel was also painful. Not only was it unnecessary, but I don't think that Wizards bothered to hire a copy editor. In fact, since I also hate almost everything after the events of the Legends series in DragonLance, I get to pretend that TWO D&D fuster-clucks never happened. _Long live the grognards!_
@@fleetcenturion Many fans keep Lord Soth in the mists. He is such an awesome character, the Dark Powers would never release him in my campaign as well. The new book makes a fleeting mention to Lord Soth fortress in the shape of a Rose and the Citadel of Cavitus from Vecna Domain. They are both floating in space in a new domain named Klorr, which seems to be a place where domains go when they are destroyed. Also, in the Black Dice Society, the official Ravenloft Stream from Wizards of the Coast, Lord Soth makes an appearance on the first episode, while the characters where still in Forgotten Realms (!?!). I sense that they will bring him back to Dragonlance in the next novels, which will probably deal with time travel and reset the setting.

Fantastic as always, my friend!
Thanks!
Wonderous as usual, I look forward to your next post, I hope one day you will do the story of Ebonbane
Thanks! Ebonbane is somewhere in the future, for sure!
