      I think it’s highly possibly that the person or people owning this account would come back if there was an upsurge in views and subs no doubt 💯

    Turns out that all this really tested was the home environment - wealthier, more secure households produced children who were able to believe in promises.

      Wether rich or poor you should never lie to your children

    I think I came across a video that explained that the marshmallow test's results were a matter of correlation and not causation and that the kids that waited didn't have more willpower but didn't have such a strong crave because they were richer and already had more candy whenever they wanted something like that. I am in trouble either way :(

      As an adult you can take a little more charge of your impulses now that you have some insight--which is better than come up with excuses and trying to invalidate the methodology and implications of this research.

    • @Chris-cs7nv
      @Chris-cs7nv 3 роки тому

      @@BOBMAN1980 if this was directed to me then I made no excuses and didn't try to invalidate it but I don't see why doing that is wrong. That's how research works ... You try to invalidate it and when you fail it's robust but when you succeed more research is needed or you have corrected some mistake. Maybe it isn't as robust as you think or maybe the video I saw was wrong but either way I am not trying to avoid any implications

    • @grendel824
      @grendel824 Рік тому

      Even if that were the case for sure, it would not invalidate the results. It seems that one of the very many advantages of being rich is the development of better self control, at least in certain areas. This is part of why everyone wants to be rich, of course it's usually better!

    This implies, that religious People, who willfully delay gratification for the afterlife, whatever that means, have the strongest willpower and with that are best suited for hard tasks. Think about that while choosing your next president.
