Hugo Comte Lighting Style - How to replicate in Studio
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 кві 2024
- This Lighting breakdown looks at some of the early editorial shoots of Hugo Comte, with a focus on how you could replicate a similar style in the studio. This is a starting point, with a breakdown on some key features to look for, its not a direct replica though!
We look at how to expose for the skin, adding cool silver highlights, Slide film vs Digital, Background lighting, and how to work with Parabolic Lights, Modifiers and Strobe vs Constant Lighting. - Навчання та стиль
Fantastic explanation! but @2:40 it's not a hot light, it's profoto pro head with a hard box and red gel on it
@@jppj4067 oh thanks for that! I thought it was Profoto Daylight into HardBox as the light was strong in the video. So you feel it’s Pro but just with modelling light also? Appreciated 🤝
@@easystudiolighting hmmh yeah I think it's a pro head flash since the cord is coming from the back of the head and not the bottom where it's located on the Profoto Daylight... plus you have to insert the head perpendicular to the hardbox as on the video... from what I heard he mostly use flash, but I've never worked with him, I'll ask his former assistant (the one in the video) if I come across him by any chance and let you know!! ahah :) Thanks a lot for you work!! :)
@@jppj4067really appreciated on the detailed response. Thanks!

thank you, I have a new one coming soon also.
great Breakdown, would also be interesting to see lighting Breakdowns of the work from Pierre Turtaut, Per Appelgreen and JEAN-PHILIPPE LEBEE
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!
Hi! are all lighting constant or some of them we should use as an impulse light? is it possible to recreate similar look using 2 impulse light, 2 constant light and natural light ?) thanks!
Thank you!! Amazing break-down. What software are you using here?
Awesome thanks for the feedback. It’s set-a-light3d
Amazing video! +1
Could you please include detailed tutorials on photo editing in future videos? For example, how to edit photos in the style of any photographer using Photoshop. It would be great if you could do that, thank you
I will try and add a bit more about this in the future, tho Lighting is more my knowledge area, but I can think how best to show it.
@@easystudiolighting thank you!
Thank you for your help ! Do you have any options for this style but with a small budget ? like how to do that in a small budget way ? thx a lot!!!
thats a good question but budget for what like Lights or a small studio etc? lemme kno
@@easystudiolighting for lights :) I would like to reproduce this effect outside (not in a studio), and I have a godox V1 (flash cobra) that I can put wherever I want. If I put it on the same place as the softbox on your video, and I make it softer, do you think it could have the same results ?
@@donerjad if you have a couple of those Godox and use the strong sun as a clip/rim light you could definitely get close feel to this. But Hugo has loads of outdoor shoots you can also reference if that helps
@@easystudiolighting thanks a lot for your advices ! do you know any softbox x2 brand for less than 300 $ but in a good quality ?
!!!!
Def reccomend upping your mic Db its very quite!
Thank you for saying this, really useful feedback.
Do you have any preset like Hugo Comte's?
Hi, no I haven’t made presets just focused on teaching lighting atm.
@@easystudiolighting Please, create the presets. You're the first person I've seen talk about this guy and his edits
Could you do a Gabriel Moses one? Thanks
I think that was requested on TikTok already so I will try in the future.
one top light. Done
@@jakpayne359 lit jaja, but not that easy, not always
Can you tell me the name of this program? Because I'm not good at English..!

@@easystudiolighting thx! I love your video 🥰
@@Hovvdoudo no problem, have fun experimenting with it!
