Wowoka really did deserve more credit for his contributions to the Vocaloid Community. Sure, call it selfish he left because he didn't get recognition, but to be fair, the masses never knew who made the hit Vocaloid songs, they just knew the singer behind them.
All he wanted was some form of recognition from the community, but he didn't get any of it.
It's really sad that people only started to recognize him after his death. I was one of the people who learned of him through this song, but it's a shame he couldn't get the same fame when he was still alive.

@@gaytrise I'm someone who believes that the writer should always get credit. Not just for Vocaloids, but with popular artists who don't write their songs as well. It's important to acknowledge that if the lyrics mean something to you, I want to know who wrote it.
They all thanked Miku. They all said “Miku is the best!” And Wowaka got well...nothing.

When I first discovered vocaloid, for a small time I was amazed at the vocaloids. But later on i discovered the artists that made this music possible through the lyrics and technology. I learned of Wowaka through not this song, but through two faced lovers and started to appreciate the artist themselves rather than the voice. So it is sad when people don't consider the artists that give life to the vocaloid. Its always nice to consider the vocaloid, but people should definitely give more credit to the artist.

When I was eight years old, I started to listen to Vocaloid thanks to you. I was victim of harassment at school and the lyrics of all the songs you composed at this period touched me a lot : I can’t even count how many times I cried during listening Unhappy Refrain... I wasn’t really happy at this moment of my life, and I found refuge in your songs, it made me understand a lot of things.
Then, I continued to listen to your songs and to become more mature over time with them. I started to smile more, and I met my first true friends, but your songs stilled to resonate in my ears, and the life messages you put into it continued to grown up in my mind.
Today, I wanna thank you because I am sure that you did something important for me : your beautiful texts were a part of the things that made the person who I am nowadays.
I’m so emotional, I can’t stop crying during writing this comment : I can’t even realize that from today you live in the heaven.
Also I have a last thing to tell : even though you’re not with us today, your songs will continue to resonate in our minds, and we’ll never forget you.

I really gotta hand it to the animators, they really captured the song and what Wowaka was saying in Miku's expressions and movements. This is currently my favorite song and I found it at the right time too.

Whenever I listen to this I don't normally feel like Miku is speaking like I normally do with other songs. I feel like Wowaka is speaking.
The song is actually about Wowaka's frustration with the Vocaloid Company, since instead of it being "Wowaka's Song" people say "Miku's Song". This is basically his goodbye song.
