Thank you so much for this! I couldn’t figure out to shir with my Brother, but once I put the thread like you showed (without adjusting the screw) I was able to finally get it to work. Thanks! I used 4.5 length, and 3.5 width like you. Plus I used 3 for tension.
I was almost disappointed at myself for buying a brother machine which can't shirr, but apparently there is always a solution! Thank you for making me feel better about myself, xoxo
You are a LIFESAVER. I was going insane trying to figure out why I couldn't shirr on this machine, but I could on my last one! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial 🙂 I spent 2 hours trying all sorts of settings with little luck... 5 minutes watching your video, little test and hey presto, shirring perfectly now!
Thank you so so much for this!!! I’ve been trying to learn this for months with no good results and now I just did!!! 🎉 you’re a life saver. I only have one question, what happens when the stitch is longer (4.5 to 5.0)? Does it scrunch more? 🥹
In the video, I show the different between 4.5 and 5 stitch length. 4 .5 is tighter and 5 is lose You can use a piece of fabric to try it out and decide which stitch length you prefer
Yes thank you. I tried tightening it the slightest and it worked a bit. Before, it would never work even once. But now it does sometimes 😅 I just gotta play around with settings
