Yeah bungie dodged a bullet also when this was coming out bungie throw some serious shade at blizzard. They said something like we will admit we haven’t been perfect but and no one has experienced harassment but when we had toxic harassers in our company we fired them for there actions.

Honestly after seeing how hard overwatch was pushing inclusivity this sort of shit just makes sense. Like it's the same thing with extremely vocal male feminists being found guilty of actual domestic abuse,it feels like they're just trying to make themselves look like ''totally not the bad guys'' as well as win some brownie points.
Almost everyone thinks they are right and moral, even the terrible people, so you get cases of bad people supporting good causes. That said, it is hilarious ironic when male feminists turn out to be pieces of crap.
What's actually come out since is that Overwatch was safe from this stuff because Jeff, the guy pushing for inclusivity, is actually a good guy.

I dont even know why people still believe in what a corporation says. The use of minorities flags are just easy way to make money, and always will be. EA does the same things in The Sims. You can get ethinic, pride, and other minorities content for your game if you pay for it.

It is undoubtedly mike morhaime really knew of everything going on, especially if the reports to HR and everywhere in between were suppressed. Because basically, even if the reports were taken seriously and something eventually starts getting done, they still have to find replacements for the executives on top, and anyone else doing the abuse, which can be tricky and difficult. So it undoubtely started from the bottom and moved in to the top. I would say in like 2007. I mean, alex afrasiabi was a piece of shit long before he joined blizzard. All you need to do is look up his ever quest status from back in the day. And unfortunately, alot of that behavior spent in the old mmos, was also spent in the work place at blizzard to.
I also am not surprised of the behavior given alcohol was in use. I mean, shit. Alcohol turns someone who was probably already an Asshole before, you kind of need to be at times to be in power, but now you are a complete asshole package. No self awareness or control. No inhibitions. Us guys already want to see female titties and dat ass correct. Well, now we really gonna see them. We gonna smack dat ass with alcohol in our systems for sure now. It just doesn't mix well if you ask me. I mean, why was alcohol even supplied at work.
I feel it is also a gamer thing as mentioned. I mean, the developer's of wow, were gamers themselves from everquest mainly. But considering how d baggy and asholistic most mmo players are, i don't see this as all to surprising either. It is just the nature of the market. Just as alot of gamers are guys and alot of game developer's are dudes. Not to say woman can't be gamers or girls can't be developer's. And woman can also be abusers to. The world tends to overgeneralize and slander, and set bullshit double standards. As for me, i see crimes as crimes. Doesn't matter who does said crimes. At the same time, i honestly feel like the execs ninjad items from people and treated certain people in their guilds like shit. No doubts. They just did not want it promoted in the world of warcraft. But it is pretty saddeing that all that behavior of sexism was promoted in the work place to such an extreme degree at blizzard and for so long. Even with supply and demand of finding replacements, 16 years is quite a while to have this shit going on. I typically dont give a shit about joking around in the work place typically. I mean, i am no boss. But when you are on the stage representing the company, that is where you draw the line. And you really shouldn't even be joking like that in the work place either. Keep it to a minnimum will yah. Makes you wonder how they acted when interviewed. And why were they fireing woman for really shitty reasons. Like breastfeeding so we fired that hoe. Makes no sense. Unequal pay for a woman for being a woman. Terrible. It is one thing to tell some strange jokes, although i would never joke about rape. That is just shitty. But it is quite another to really dictate the behavior to the next level, and prevent woman from promotions and feeling safe.
I honestly feel like this is a time capsule for history to show just how shitty something can get, if it is enabled for to long. It got so bad, that no one even wanted to be associated with blizzard. I am surprised other places even allowed the products to be sold there. Like damn the reputation got pretty shitty after a while. As far as when it first started, i would say we can guage the quality of the games to an extent. Like i definitely feel there was some cubical crawling and woman butt smacking during the development of warlord's of draenor. No doubt. But i would wager it started in the late 2000's and the early 2010's. Somewhere along there.
Luckily, it has some concerns, but microsoft purchased blizzard activison for like 68.5 roughly 70 billion dollars recently. So i mean, that could end well i guess. I certainly do not see blizzard getting better on it's own terms. Just insane how far they fell. I mean, microsoft has decent reviews, a harrassment case i was reading about. And the CEO doesn't seem as terrible as bobby kotick. It is all about the lesser evil to me at this point.

Not to mention that Alex Afrasiabi, the Senior Creative Director and the man behind most of WoW's quests, was known to grope and flirt with other women on the job. The lawsuit even goes so far to state that he received minimal punishment for his actions for many years and his actions were often ignored until his departure in 2020

I mean in truth they are right due to this being a lawsuit against the company as a whole which said circumstance can be easily determined relevant by whether or not this happened during working hours or said circimstances that determined liability on the manager/supervisor while they were working and if so can be considered work. Most likely the event in question happened in the victim's living space abet most likely temporary and not while working so if any liability is to be placed it should be on the people surronding said event rather than the company. However unless they can determine that HR did anything illegal regarding the circumstance like a unconstuitional private arbitration or the company failed in any duty (this varies heavily by state and I live in cali so I can't say if there is/isn't). In all cases the defending party is heavily incentivized to defend the point regardless of truth due to it's potential effect in trial. Most likely the suicide part won't make it past discovery due to the heavy requirement of proof of liability of either workers commiting illegal acts on the behalf of high management/HR that caused it. Proving a suicide having a liability of another party that may be indirectly involved is very difficult and even if morally they caused it granted this not being a crimnal trial makes it easier but most likely this event won't be found in favor of the suicide victim due to the high bar of proof. Think of it this way, Your working at starbucks with a coworker and you guys get into an arguement regarding whatever. A couple days later she commits suicide after coming home from work, should you be charged with manslaughter? Regardless of the contents of the argument we don't know how private it was. There is a potental for other causes to effect and then if it was the only event that one would think would of caused it if it was just you and the coworker the conversaion only happened with you and a dead person so ultimately there is only 1 side that is first hand;: your side and naturally your not going to self incrimnate.
That employee died under THEIR SUPERVISION. It's totally their fault.

But i could be wrong and maybe he was bad also. Not 100 % clean, but i think jeff kaplan was the better person.

There seems to be a trend with these big companies. As their stocks go up and they make a shit load of money the quality of the game design architecture seems to revolve around milking the payers, erhm... Players for every cent they have. Same thing happened with EA and Bethesda. When money gains come into play. Investors get greedier. Games get less about an experience and having fun and more about placing paywalls and micro-transactions. I swear this is why I love it when Indie games are successful. It's more about making a good game than money with them. Most of the time.
Well, I'd say it's 50-50 with indie games, but the companies don't have reps they can rely on for sales most of the time so the bad ones aren't successful

Agree with everything you said except for your take on Jason Schrier. That guy is one of the most toxic game journalists I've ever seen given his twitter activity and hostile approach to people who disagree with him. Everyone has their demons, I guess, but I definitely can't think of him as a treasure. Good on him for getting the scoop on this though.
That scoop is probably given to him by his insider friends anyway, given his connections of Breaking News/Leak articles from his former job at Kotaku which would have involved a lot of boot-licking along with narrative bias.
I suspected something like that, I sure hope ActMan is not valuing this person for his toxic behaviour. Honestly, as soon as I hear "game journalist" I mentally prepare for stuff like this
He hardly does any journalism. To preserve my sanity and faith in humanity, I have to believe his daily articles are ghost-written by an unpaid intern, while his "investigative" pieces are basically insiders giving him information (because he's high profile), and he just quotes them, while whining about "crunch time" between paragraphs.

I used to joke about stuff like this, but my heart goes out the people who were sexually assaulted and to the female who committed suicide.
Slow down. Right now we have no idea whether they actually drove her to suicide. We have no idea if she was prone to suicidal thoughts or suffered from depression? We have no idea if she got bad news about a relative before or during the trip? If she was going through a break up? Maybe, lewd images of her were found and distributed at some point? To who we don't know. But a supervisor had lubricant and a butt-plug in his possession? If that's true that has no information regarding if that was for her, him someone else or whichever escort he planned to hire on his trip. And were they the only people on this business trip? It could all be true, but right now it is a massive assumption on anyone's part to take that scant bit of information and essentially accuse anyone of definitely causing her death.

Sure Refunds on Steam used to be a major problem, but nowadays Steam has one of the most generous refund policies out there. You have stuff like having their VR titles not locked to specific platforms, meaning thay you can buy whatever VR equipment you find best, and now stuff like the Steam Deck havr been announced to be fully unlocked, allowing you to install whatever nonsteam content you want, or even just get windows or whatever, and play BNet games or emulators or whatever.

What the hell are you talking about. Did you not watch the video? Actman stated multiple times that Blizzard does deserve a chance to defend themselves in the court of all. Of course nothing is proved so far but that's why this video is about the accusations, the lawsuit and absolute shit state of Blizzard.
Personally, I believe that if there is this kind of abuse, male employees suffer from this as well. It's just that in the current era, if we see a female boss taking advantage of male workers it's not as horrible as a male boss taking advantage of a female worker, which is kinda twisted honestly.
