I'll be as productive as my wife allows. Really I've already have a lot more repairs coming in.

I wish I had some friends I could send your videos to so they could be tortured like I was through the whole thing ;-). I loved that outro. I can honestly say I've not heard that before in any of the thousands of videos I've watched. Very clever and funny to boot..
I hope to be a luthier someday and find videos like this one quite helpful with building my knowledge base. Thanks for the video and enjoy your retirement. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for watching to the end!! I started out building electric guitars for my self and they turned out very good from the start. But I had years of wood working experience before guitars. As for repairs I found old junkers to work on to get familiar with how acoustics work.

Congrats with the retirement - hope you'll enjoy it. Regarding CF rods - I think they have their place on solid body/semi-hollow guitars, but given the short length of an acoustic neck it's probably overkill.

You are not wrong Gert. Especially on a 12 fret but I'm just trying it out.

Nice and precise routing. I wonder whether the CF rods give the truss rod more work to do? I'm playing catch up again Dane- it seems that UA-cam plays fast 'n' loose with me.

I know I read this this one before, thought I responded. The CF rods do give the neck a more solid feel than just the truss rod alone. It didn't seem any different to adjust. I put CF rods in the TV Yellow LPJ as well and it's very stable.

What kind of truss rod are you using along side the carbon rods?

Hey Hoz, both necks get double acting rods. One is a stew hotrod and the other came from Bitterroot.

Router sounds weird, maybe best take a look at that. As for sharing, I'm more a keep it to yourself kinda guy, a problem shared is a problem doubled and so on 🤣
