    A great video Mike as always.
    You do a great job and I always enjoy your videos.
    As for a all negative comments from the different guys that can't see you are only showing what each equipment manufacturers offer,
    they can't see the trees for the forest.
    thanks again.

    We had up till 2 weeks ago 2v quadtracs a 535 and 580 . But we traded our 535 for a 610 dt . I was skeptical about versatile but the tractor is just as good as a case except it's less powerful when under a heavy load . But we found that it is just as nice of a ride and Is better on fuel. We bought it used with low hours it has 36inch tracks gps and pto. We used it for running a 40 foot Salford vertical tillage disc now its running a kinze 3800 high speed planter . We figure it can run planter in spring and graincart in fall . Honestly versatile is a more economical high hp tracked tractor that is just as good as case or deere .

    It looks to me like both the case and the delta track have the same amount of drive lugs engaged. But am a bit surprised that the versatile has such wider lugs. Is the idlers and midrollers narrower on the delta track to allow the wider lugs to run on the tractor? We have a quadtrac and it has a bit of space on both sides of the lugs but that is so you can see easily if the track needs alignment.

    Put each one under a load and see which track gets longer and the end of the day by all the heat .

    What happens when one of these tracked articulated tractors gets stuck in mudd? Can the track start to slip? Can a rock get wedged in the track and stop it? What was the first type of farm equipment to get tracks? I remember the IH 915 combine from decades ago and they had quite small drive tires compared to the size and weight of the machine and they got stuck quite easily.

    It blows my mind why Case would make their system with solid bogeys....it's too bad our local Versatile dealer gave up their rights because they were getting charged too much and I don't think they were selling enough

    • @6484373
      @6484373 7 років тому +2

      Well for one thing it is more simple and it just one less thing to go wrong. And having the oscillating bogeys is going to wear down the track faster compared to the Case where the bogeys are always in line with the track. Having the three bogeys instead of two is also going to spread out the load more.

    • @Ethan-ck6iz

      Aaron Stern I think that it'd be a good idea for manufacturers to start making 2-300 horsepower 4WDs again. Some of the big MFWDs are nice but I still think it ain't a replacement

    • @theoprice721
      @theoprice721 7 років тому

      Aaron Stern wouldn't you just buy a 300hp tractor like a t7315, case optum, fendt 300, t8320 etc?

    • @AJmx2702001
      @AJmx2702001 7 років тому

      The T7 Newhollands and the Case Optums are not very popular for dealers here in Corn-Bean Country so i have never been able to even look at one as for a fendt i did try the 1050 Vario but i have only one dealer in my State to deal with on them on and as for Deere I dont like the 2 tracks for end row turning and i did try a Challenger and found it to not have to power that That the Case Iveco or the Versatile Cummins has so For now i will be going with a Case Magnum Rowtrac

    Very interesting. I think with CaseIH now exclusively using FPT drivetrain components more people will be going to Versatile and John Deere. A lot of skepticism out there when it comes to Fiat.

    • @farmhandmike

  • @rossgallinger9383

    Why not put the blocks the same way you would have the same results as case but no you have to cheat to show versatile is better not impressed if it’s better than do the exact comparison but it’s not that’s the trouble it’s the same

    • @JT.0915
      @JT.0915 5 років тому

      It's pretty obvious that the Versatile is a lot different regardless of where the blocks are. The case isnt going to oscillate or torque no matter where you put blocks. It's a bad design either way.

    Sorry your wrong about the delta about removing the track . You need a mechine to pump out all the hydraulic oil and they will lose its pressure obviously and then they collapse and you use an forklift to remove the tracks cause they weigh a fucking tons

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  6 років тому

      Well I've removed several tracks and just used the hydraulics on the tractor with a hose to collapse the tension cylinder. and used the same method to pump it back up tight.

    How ironic this video is.CaseIH never compares their products to anybody but John Deere.Its like Versatile does not exist in Fargo;s world view.With the introduction of the New Holland Smart trax & the Delta Track CaseIH was very hypocritically silent.But when the John Deere 9RX appearred in 2015 imitators were among us.

    • @crazyhass84
      @crazyhass84 7 років тому +1

      generationll because the delta track is 15 yr old tech... camo plast made Tracks and worked with case ih to develop a track that would last... once the agreements elapse camoplast cut bait and sold to whoever they could get to buy the old tech... delta track has no suspension, no auto track tension, closed heavy lower wheels. those wheels pack with mud and cause lots of downtime! case knew that 15 yrs ago... # of drive lugs engaged is pointless, case puts 620rated at 682 peak hp to the ground with 6 and no issues. versatile only has 550hp rated. they went to 7 to try and avoid getting sued for IP.
      saving the best for last, versatile sells 5% market share, agco 10%, case 45, deere,40%. what deere does matters, versatile not so much. yes i drove several delta tracs. i wasnt impressed. rides extremely rough, cummins is so dang loud and unrefined and just drank the fuel. in the field demo it used as much fuel to get 550hp as case did to get 620!

    • @crazyhass84
      @crazyhass84 7 років тому

      Brentelec all current models of the case quad track under carriages have suspension. 620hp all the way down to the 370hp rowtrac. the quad track is an older design but its there. the newer row crop has a fully suspended system. that comes in 500hp down to 370hp. they also offer cab suspension. so ride quality and ability to move fast through the field is amazing in a case! i drive a 470 row track on a grain cart that replaced two tractors because it could fly over the fields. i couldnt believe i was going 20mph through a corn field with a cart. smoother than a babies butt!

    • @crazyhass84
      @crazyhass84 7 років тому

      Brentelec was he comparing to an older quad from 15 yrs ago? no! it was a a tier4a which started production in 2011. which had option for cab suspension

    • @crazyhass84
      @crazyhass84 7 років тому

      Brentelec learn to read! i said all CURRENT models. the models he was comparing are current. the case has partial track suspension and the cab had the option of being suspended. the versatile has neither... want to keep going? u make me laugh

    • @crazyhass84
      @crazyhass84 7 років тому

      Brentelec so nasty. gzz your boy friend turn u down again?
