He was complaining getting hit at the back of his head and I was shouting "Don't fckin' turn your back then so much!" I wanted to say the same thing to that stupid ref that keep warning Duarte. It was obvious Duarte wasn't trying to hit him at the back of his head. It's because he keeps turning his back towards his opponent! Smh.. 😮💨

@@Jaystarskiit’s another type of content they do on Probox TV where two of the champs debate a topic, such as who would win in their prime Tyson vs Ali, and topics like that and George is the referee. I love it because I get deep insight to how these champions think about the game, way deeper my boxing brain goes being that I’ve only sparred some amateurs in the gym and am mainly a huge fan of these warriors. I love the deep knowledge they share in their debates.

Totally agree with you guys. Duarte surprised me with how timid and kind of lost he looked in this fight. Pursue Ryan to then stop when he had him in front of him as if he expected Ryan to punch first. It is Ryan's responsibility to protect himself. By turning his back against Duarte, I think he was trying to get referee points to get Duarte to stop punching the body, a very cowardly thing to do.

I believe it is a strategy to get big fights. It started with Regis, then Shakur, now Ryan.. deliberately show some kind of weakness against underrated opponents, then reduce on being avoided. It worked perfectly for Regis. Watch Deontay let go of the gas pedal with Parker to lure A.J.

Duarte did get up. He got up in time. The Ref. decided to stop it anyway. Duarte did what many do and some advice, to rest as much as possible and get up by count nine.

Guys I love your comments but you all fail to recognize or mention that Duarte had to change his strategy due to the ref. Second that fake shoulder roll took Duarte’s right hand away he barely had open chances and yes he didn’t use his angles.
Third and most important the kid got tired, his left hand got over used. But bottom line the ref changed the whole outcome of the fight against Duarte. I’m not saying it was on purpose, but when you call one boxer the attention; stop hitting behind the head, automatically you tell the other boxer; raise your head. If he’s hitting you behind the back you call it out, also you have too tell the boxer to stop turning around. The ref just called García just once to raise his head.
The 140lb division is the shark tank
The best trajectory for Ryan imo is Ryan fighting Rollie next then assuming Davies beats Barroso fight Davies and if he wins those fights fight Barboza all golden boy fighters minus Rollie all step ups from the previous fights which can help his development and give him the best chance to compete with Teo Haney and Matias or Hutchins depending whose the champ after Ryan has those 3 fights

Yes, but he's unjust. Ryan added a straightened right, poorly executed but effective shell, head control, long guard, time management and varied/lowered jab to his game.
He's not ready for the big tent. He may never be, but he improved greatly. He wasn't ready for Tank. He improperly and over used the shell. He should work on that. It was sloppy, but not uncorrectable. A good coach would show him not to over commit.

I watched Ryan hit his opponent and it looked like he thought his punches didn't have any effect and he didn't know what to do. I didn't see Ryan try to hit the guy's body, maybe once.
I know the guy covered up well but there are ways to change that through the course of the fight.
