It is incredible how they film so many angles and people in the same room, never showing cameras or crew anywhere in any shot.
Damn never thought of that must be stressful as hell
Zoom lenses work like a charm for this
It's because they film everything on the first try at as many angles as possible, usually first try is on a 1 shot (1 face on camera). They plan where the cameras go prior. Then they will make everyone do and say the same things again, mainly only parts that may have been missed or if they want a 2 shot on it (2 people in 1 shot). They will get food shots separately. Editing also helps, some shots may have been filmed at a different time and added in, e.g. reaction shots.
The magic is done in post production. The editor is what makes it look great
Cameras and cameramen are invisible
Alvin definitely wanted Eric to win in secret
I have that thought as well.
Yeh probably bc they’re both Asian nothing against that though really wanted Eric to win too
@@elvinnguyen8854 I wouldn’t say ASAIN but both share similar stories. They both had the Asian parent expectations pushed on and both have dream of being chefs. They also both have engineering degrees, the only difference being Alvin has already achieved his dream. Alvin probably sees his younger, hopeful self in Eric
@@malikes4591 they have a restaurant together now called R&D in Toronto. It’s BOMMMMBBB
ok
You know it's MasterChef Canada when everybody is so nice to each other
AGREED
Yep
That's true Aey!
that is sooooo true, even Chef Michael angry is a polite and smooth guy.
You know it's MasterChef Canada when Alvin says 'This is MasterChef Canada' 🤣

the rarest, almost exclusive sight in MC Canada: smile on Eric Chong's face
The rarest : Mike's Steak

In MasterChef USA Joe the Bald as I call him, literally berated someone for putting bernaise sauce on his steak. The dude was like "uhhhh I just thought it was french" and Joe said "no french cook I know of would ever do that" lol lol lol now here on MasterChef Canada they're saying it's a requirement for steak frites, a classic French bistro dish lol lol wtf
from what i heard Joe isnt an expert cook and is more of a food critic
@@ernestogastelum9123 his mom is a famous cook but joe is not a cook
lolololololololololololololol
@@ernestogastelum9123 He's literally like the kid in school who is "cool" because he has rich parents
MASTER CHEF US contestants are very competitive towards one another, that is why they want their opponents to lose asap , no team work even in groupworks and even went far to disrespecting them beyond boundaries and the other judges was never different from their contestants berating for nonsense reasons because they want to be like Gordon but without experience in cooking LOL
@9:10 Kaegan missed an once in a lifetime opportunity to say he's feeling "coffeedent".
More likes here please, excellent dad joke
the missed opportunity. it hurts me
In Masterchef US, Mary’s steak would’ve been considered overcooked and she would’ve lost. I kinda like how medium is considered ok here.
Yh, I never understand how it has to be medium rare, it’s like they think there is only one good cook. Sure, if it’s blue or well-done , that’s bad, but it’s not that terrible it’s it’s a little rare or medium.
@@sunnydays07 its not that there's only 1 good cook but there is a best cook for each cut of beef
Same. I hate medium rare because it looks bloody and uncooked to me- even though it is cooked. I’d prefer medium as well.
@@leafii. for me i like between medium rare and medium. A nice deep pink, not too much red
Yea
Andre's mind " I love my wife. I love my wife... I love my wife?..." Please stop flirting with me pretty lady, I can't take this.
I thought I was imagining it like I was the only person noticing that the lady kind of liked him.
@@belindafleischer4245 seriously, that's what I picked up on, uncontrollable smile, unwavering eye connection, she definitely wanted his meat 🍖.
Lmaooooo
@@belindafleischer4245 It's her eyes that give it away
As soon as I saw it I jumped right to the comments
Everytime Eric gets a compliment
Eric: Thank you chef ☹️
I love how Barry and Trevor working like a father and son while Thea and Mai look like they're trying to backstab each other
Mary's reaction when she knew it was perfect steak was priceless. Watched it several times. So cute!
She obviously knew it would be perfect beforehand though since she cooked 4 steaks but only served 3 and I imagine she cut into one at the end. Still nerve wracking though
She's a fake pretensive person her winning was just stupidity.
Claudio really doesn't like confidence for some reason. With every clip of the contestant being very confidence, Claudio almost winces.
I'm going to assume it's a sympathy sort of thing? He looked like he really resonated and saw himself in Trevor, especially during his cocky/confident moments. Chef Claudio probably had some experience in his life that made his outlook and perspective on confidence rather complicated.
The more cocky and arrogant you act the worse you look when you fail.
And he's always the one who's always finding the mistakes of the contestants
Which is ironic because he seems like the most arrogant judge in my opinion
@@honinakecheta601 nah that's alvin
I love the MC Canada judges. When Mary’s steak came out medium instead of mid rare, they didn’t antagonize her over the cook. Instead, Claudio told her that it was a, and I quote, “PERFECT. MEDIUM.”
Bravo to MC Canada, the show is plenty dramatic without people getting angry for no reason. They not
Only seem like professional chefs, but also seem very humble and human
I never knew that coffee crusted steak existed
Gordon Ramsay makes a coffee crusted venison tendeloin.
My mans over on tiktok fuckin dry aged a steak in sour patch kids. Anything is possible 💀
It sounds delicious
Same .
Noob
Claudio in all situations be like "There is no room for error and no room to hide"
And Michael always looking for that "little bit of crunch"
Meanwhile Alvin;
"WAN MINUTE! YOU HAVE WAN MINUTE LEFFTTT!!"
Shoulda seen him play hide and seek.
Trevor and Barrie had such a wholesome relationship. MasterChef Father and Son duo
Erics facial expressions get me every time
Chinese people, don’t know about other Asian have funny faces as a responds sometimes

@Silver is Sus yeah
The mouth is a lil funny on each. 🤣
It’s more like this 😔
I love Eric. 😊
21:20 in case if you were wondering, cooking a scallop 3 minutes on one side is the epitome of stupidity and obvious lack of understanding on how long to cook scallops. Ideally you cook a scallop on high heat ~60 seconds each side so Tea was more on the money.
Actually, Mai isn’t that wrong. Some people do that to create a heavier sear on one side while the other is barely touched. They usually turn off the stove in some time if the process so it won’t overcook.
It’s different cooking techniques. It just depends if you prefer an even sear or a really heavy sear.
@@bhhb4326 i mean im sure some people do that but i have never once heard of a restaurant worth their salt ever do something like that. when you need to put out the food quickly in a service setting it doesnt make sense to cook the hell out of one side and then take forever waiting for the other side to slowly adjust.
I microwave my scallops.
ok
Ok
That was so good so many flavours and amazing compilation!
I love Kaegen’s energy, he’s so giddy all the time
Something you wouldn’t expect from a mathematician
.... I am def not drooling right now? THOSE STEAKS LOOK TOOOOOO GOOD MAN Imma crY
why eric always like this😮💨 like having a stroke
Mary is my hero ..cooking meat as a vegetarian is not easy ..she a cooking genius
0:47 cameraman knew exactly what he was doing
I love MasterChef Canada so much more because I’ve noticed that on this series they actually respect one another it’s ability to cook I mean yeah there might be moments when it’s tense, but they respect each other I love that that’s why I don’t like the American version so much
Yeah.. Every comment is the same as yours.
In the end it's all edited for drama. Drama makes good tv. Nothing is real.
Me watching this while eating burger king: "hmmm yes that does look pretty good."
LMAO
Michael gently: bon appétit
Alvin: LETS EAT!! Shut up and just eat what mommy cooked for you!
😂😂😂
Alvin is so justifiably hard on Eric. They have been on similar journeys and Alvin wants to push Eric to his absolute best. Watching them two together was like watching a mentor/mentee relationship
Masterchef
Muito bom seu canal!
Adorei as dicas, vou fazer
😆
Me watching while eating left over rice and instant noodles 👄
3:52 the face I make when I hear I need to work overtime
Alvin always takes such big bites like this show is the only time he ever eats
Marida:you need to focus on the steak
Mike:literally mixing the bernais sauce
Alvin: I would give this a very good pass.
Eric: 😦
😅
I bet some of these home cooks could surpass the judges one day, despite the judges knowing their craft 100% already
How flirtatious were andre and tessa❤❤😂
Steak frites, the meal every school in France mastered XD
see this is why i want to move to france
Dude the sound of coffee and steak sounds gnarly
I love trevor and barrie man its a iconic duo
A steak and dry delight, just makes your mouth water. Car hop trays from amazon.
Me watching them eat elaborate steak meals but I’m in my dorm eating ramen 😅🙃
Me watching this while eating a sandwich with processed Ham and cheese 😂
I’m watching this while eating a subway sandwich 😂
I’m eating this while eating a carrot 💀
When Chef Alvin looked over at Chef Claudio as he cut into Mary's steak in the second clip, he looked as if he was trying to cheat on a test in a classroom lol.
still cant beat tom and jerry steak
Lol 🤣
ong
The dish on the thumbnail looked so good
Fantastic ❤️
Why does everything have to medium rare? What’s wrong with medium, it’s not like there is a set cook on a steak for everybody
I think its because of the fact medium rare is considered the perfect cook for a steak
@@ghostix. Yes, it is the hardest cook to achieve on a steak. It tests the chef's ability to properly cook protein.
@@FistSaidToTheFace and it’s the most popular
@@FistSaidToTheFace its really hard to mess up medium rare bro
i’m a psychopath, I eat steak (and hamburgers) well done
5:50 AYOOO??? WHAT DID YOU SAY MARY
Lol
I've never had a steak that was as good as a cheese steak made by the same person.
Great video!
The red head Mary is so attractive holy guacamole
Indeed! Also really talented!
She's a very nice vegetarian that actually cooks meat for her family.
@@Bird_Nerd_Kae what a shame. I got some meat packed up for her if ya know what I’m sayin

my favorite dish!
Love watching the show and fascinated at the Pallet (
these chefs are the beat chefs ever respectful and supportive unlike chef Ramsay and Joe
I love how they don't show the part where Eric fails the brené sauce-
OMG, they really need to invite Uncle Roger and Jamie Oliver to this show , LOL :)))
Trevor did absolutely nothing in the 19:31 thing... like what you cut some vegetables ? wow
33:25 Andre looks like he's casting a spell or something.
Excellent 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
No u
Have a great day!
I love its Mastershef Canada... Enjoying it..love it 3 chef..
What song is in the background at around 4:00
I don't understand why judges explain stuff to each other 😂😂
"The potato has to be evenly sliced" like ofc y'all know!!!
It's probably just to fill a void. Everyone's focused, not talking, etc. That and it's probably to fill in the TV viewer on what's supposed to happen and what's supposed to not happen.
Imagine a show wherein everyone stays quiet, no one talks, no background music. Lmao.
0:47 damn Kaila had those puppies out🤤
how is Kaila's face not a meme yet!!!!
Veronica was super amazing. I love Mary and glad she won.
5:20 respect to her for cooking meat even while being vegetarian

Er. No.
He didn't call you a genius, he said your' recipe was genius.
Which is totally different.
🙂
Eric always looks afraid of scared
Yall should cook sinigang
Ah here Uncle Albert would have nailed the Coffee Dish😂
"The thing I go out on, I can't eat for the rest of my life."
I wouldn't have the willpower to do something like that, for sure. Good thing Eric didn't need to make good on that comment in the end! I'd admire anyone who has the willpower to make good on that comment.
ok WHY AND HOW IS MARY'S HAIR ALWAYS SO PERFECTAAA
Best season
Why is it Eric always wanted to cry ???
i love alvin so much
good job andre
5:10 that is actually insane. a person who eats plants can cook meat like shes done it before
She has. She had only become vegetarian a few years beforehand.

I love MICHAEL G. I hope he’s still cooking and a chef.
You really have to let yourself be carried away by these. It’s like someone found a formula for a cooking show and everyone else followed suit. Forever.
Me watching this while eating... fufu with tomatos gently fried in duck fat and gravy
damn the steaks are high
