I loved driving these. I full In miss them. Since getting out the farming game I wish I could just on occasion be back in this very machine. Out carting for silage, maize or even much spreading. Had many great long days in them. Don’t think I I ever got bored in one or dealt tired in one even after 15/16 hour days.
Genuinely worth buying one of these machines if you can at the moment. As said, the price is only rising and they are certainly a classic. A set of wider tires and PowrQuad Plus gearbox (semi-automatic mode and clutch button) would make it a perfect machine. They really are an all rounder from ploughing to loader work, they can do the lot.
I used to drive the John Deeres. 6920s, 7530, 6930, but my favourite was the 7810. What a manly tractor that was, and what a soundtrack! I drive new Holland's now, which very sound tractors but very boring to drive I'll be honest. Us drivers need a bit of engine roar to make the day go by but manufacturers have taken the pleasure away from us with massive silencers and emissions crap.
Had 1 of those for few years contracting. Auto quad gear box and electric spools. It had different gear stick to that, it had your gears up and down the auto button and a clutch button on the side to change ranges. It had some serious grunt but my god it could drink some fuel
Totally agree last good tractor deere made lift sugar beet with one on 6 row harvester with auto power its unstoppable sounds brilliant when its working hard.
Hi George, excellent vid as always. I always look out for you on the A6 when I’m headed towards Bedford. I’ve seen you on a few occasions through Milton Ernest.
When i invested in my 1st GoPro around 5-6 years ago we were running one of these and i still miss it to this day now its been changed for a R series. if your watching this Liz and you fancy treating your husband need i say more lol.
@@GeorgeSaunders Hey let me of George i am celebrating ,remember them neighbors that coarsed me so much pain i told you about?, well they moved out last week and i feel like a new man that can live again. if i had the money i would buy you one myself.
I used to drive a 6910, I'm sure it was a 10, might have been a 6900. But that was a great tractor. Used ot for carribgbin from the cabbage fields in Boston. About 2000, loved it, I'm sure we had a small 3310, or 3610 something like that.
Lovely machine and video! Just to say, having spent a lot of time on road bikes, I can totally see how they look rude, but it's not necessarily that they're refusing to acknowledge you. It's just that, when you pass a tractor, first off it's a bit intimidating (looks so easy to end up under the wheels), secondly you're moving on to the bumpiest bit of the road (that guy in the white and blue is crossing a border between two road surfaces at a slight angle - so easy for your tyre to get snagged on the boundary and throw you off!!!). Added to that, you're trying to slow down, then get into gear (using the shifters in the brake levers). You can see the one in green flick their brake lever across as they approach you - that's them trying to keep in a gear they can turn. All in all, it's not always possible to put your hand up! The guy in black and red doesn't seem to have an excuse though...
It's an odd spec, it's got the panoramic doors with the standard Powerquad plus transmission. Panoramic doors were an option on 30 series but usually only seen on top spec machines
With every new generation of tractor, there are old farmers grousing about how they'll never last, how there's too much modern junk on them, how they'll all be in the scrapyard in 20 years while their (insert favorite tractor here) is still going strong... They said your T-Dub would be in the junkyard in 20 years. Well, here it is now over 30 years later... 20 years from now the current tractors will be the new classics and ones like this one will be the standard by which the next generation of tractors will be compared when old farmers grouse about new tractors. The real question is, what will the old farmers of that future time have to complain about?
Good thing your Ford TW can't watch your videos.. Lol.. I get to drive 70's and 80's model International's.. Got a 966, 1566, and a 1586.. so everything you drive is Hi-Tech compared to what I drive.. I like the old Ford though.
Really really like this video George. Even though the JD is too 'modern' for me to drive it without instruction. P.S. how you dealt with those cyclists .............
The 7530 works great but i don't think it is the most reliable tractor. Ours gets warm very quick, unlike the 7700 and 7610 where you can drive with a straw bale in the radiator without getting hot.
George Saunders no unfortunately haven’t had it on a dyno I’ve done about 1500hrs since I got it done and no probs 200hp and 220 on boost and egr deleted. Went great before but I wanted the egr deleted and wasn’t fussed about more power but now I’ve got it I wouldn’t go back it loves the hills with a good load on the back

@@SuperSparkie123 Sorry, not John Deere fan. Used to work as a salesman for a Claas dealer and we found the weakest part if the Claas tractor was the Deere engine which seemed to cause no end of problems. Cylinder head gaskets, VGTs and EGR valves just for starters. One of my customers had to replace his Arion 520 engine at 2000 hrs when it swallowed the turbo! 14k to repair, he replaced it with a New Holland within 6 months. Thankfully I believe Claas have mostly replaced the Deere power plant with the Cummins Iveco and they now have a better tractor. So sorry, as I said not a fan.

Got a 6430 loader at a organic beef operation. Absolute power horse of a loader tractor!
anyone agree that IH 1455 was and still is a beautiful sounding tractor
Grew up with my grandads 1255 and 1455xl they sounded bloody good.
One of the greats
Yeah the best tractor in the world
Brilliant vid - fantastic tractor, almost back to the “ gear jamming “ video you did George on the old JCB!! Cracking!!

You're really pushing it with the amounts of videos as of late George! Keep it going as it's so fun to watch! That Deere sounds great!

One of my favorite older tractors is the international harvester 186 my uncle owns one and it’s a very reliable tractor
Beautiful tractor. Great video GEORGE
Cheers Kai 👍👍👍👍

Nice clean tractor. John
Used to drive a 6630p and used to sound the same.. even when breaking it used to sound lovely!
They are designing the character out if the tractors these days George, we need a good sound 😎👍
Great gear box
Best Deere’s made an very popular over here in Ireland. Them things hold there money very very well .
I think its the powerquad because it doesn't have the Auto Button, only up/down.
they still use those 6 cylinder motors in the newer 6M models, just muffled a lot more, I went from a 6520 to a 6140m and the 20 sounds way beefier
Because its a M not an R
My uncle has a 6830 at 205hp nicest tractor I’ve ever drove
D.M. Agri video's we have a 6930 she sounds class u don’t hear many good sounding tractors now a days
They have a 6830 premium at work probs best tractor on the farm by far
As Keith Lemon would say, "She's bang tidy!"
Whey another Deere on your channel again love those beasts
Looks like
Ollys
Nice to see you in Claas Overalls lol
i got a pitcher some were of me baling baling in a field , back in the day . some wear in the seventies., { not a fore wheel drive }
Proper tractor. No buttons and flashing lights and its green
Nice machine that young man!
Ive never seen a 30 series wit the newer R series cab, with the long doors and no opening of side windows. Unusual? 🤔
Tony Stapleton some of the later 30 series had the option of panoramic windows. But it looks weird as it’s a premium with a standard gear knob
It's an odd spec, it's got the panoramic doors with the standard Powerquad plus transmission. Panoramic doors were an option on 30 series but usually only seen on top spec machines
Panoramic doors were optional from 2010 plus on 30 series premium. No good needed a side window to listen to the purr of that engine.

interesting film the john deere are good, strong working machines without many problems.is this a good tractor for you
But would it replace the fastrac George
Probably not 😂
Got thin tyres on it we had a 69 and the tyres were stupidly wide on in we’ve got a 6155r now but nothings as good as a 69 or 7530
