Can I just say, I really love where your channel is going.. You're so much more about honest reviews and truly needed information on products... Instead of just posting tons of tutorials that all look the same.. And saying that they "looveee" *instert product* and then you NEVER see them use that product again... I just am really loving your channel :-) xx
+tasha kirksey same! I don't even watch other people anymore because Emily is so great and honest that I literally trust no one else due to sponsored products ...
+tasha kirksey Agreed. Emily has built her credibility so much that we really trust her reviews. I always "consult" this channel before heading to Ulta or Sephora! I looooove this channel! :)
I very much agree. Emily is pretty much the only makeup channel I watch consistently anymore. Others do too many sponsored videos and are just not as helpful and useful as the information Emily provides.
you are by far the most creative and innovative beauty guru on youtube. you never fail to impress with all the awesome, interesting ideas you bring to your videos. thank you for always of thinking something new to do!!
I tried a couple of Nyx items and the slide on eye liner wears off of me in an hour. the lip cremes I didn't care for either or at least the color I bought.
Emily you deserve so many more subscribers. Good thing is, your subscribers are loyal and so positive. You definitely attract the right people. Thank you for all of your hard work. I can always count on your videos to have the best information. God bless you girly!
I love how you balanced out this video with likes and dislikes for one brand. This is so helpful when buying products especially when they go on B1G1 sales at the drugstore. Please do one on Milani and NYX.
I LOVE how you always wear the product or products you are talking about in your video. Or you show a picture of it on you. I think it is such a nice and important detail! Love you, Em!
I typically go for videos with woc because I feel they are more relatable but you are amazing. I feel like you really cater to everyone, not the majority or the minority ,buy everyone. love you lady I just started watching subbing now
Emily you should do a series of #WayBackWednesday, #ThrowbackThursday or #FlashbackFridays using oldies but goodies all in one look. Every week just post a tutorial using old products...I know we all get caught up on all the hype new products we get but we need to not forget the products that have always been good but have just been stashed away.
Yoga Upload thank you. I think it'd be different and fun to watch n for me personally, inspire me to grab my old products n not depend so much on the newer products
*#SNAPCHATFAM* I love Covergirl lately. Their naked palettes are AMAZINGGG! I picked up those instant cheekbones blush trios because of your last video! Well, I actually picked up the 2 you mentioned, and managed to get all 4 as well!! ;) GREAT SERIES IDEA, DOLL!! Xx
The CoverOutlast foundation is by FAR my favorite drugstore foundation, and I have HELLA oily skin. I know some people love the Loreal Infallible, but that just does not last on me. Now the Outlast will still get shiny on me, make no mistake but EVERYTHING I wear does, and the Outlast is THE strongest drugstore foundation for oily skin. Honestly, the only thing I prefer over it is the Estee Lauder Double Wear, and I only use bust that out on special occasions/going out. I also love the Supersizer!
CoverGirl is my go-to drugstore brand. I wore their foundations more than any other brand's when I first started wearing makeup; the formulas wouldn't clog my pores or make my changing skin super oily. I had good luck with the Sensitive Skin version of the Clean Foundation line.
+MsMinerva1 I got mine at Kmart but I've also seen it at rite aid and Dollar General. It's in a package hanging up on a hook not with the other cover girl lipstick in the display. Hope you find it 😃
What is this? A UA-cam comment section full of appreciative messages? i have fallen into an alternate reality free of hate, racism, sexism and overall idiocy. I like it here. 😍
I LOVE that you do so many different videos like this. You are so creative and don't just do generic tutorials or reviews. You mix it up and keep your subscribers learning and growing!
Love this new video concept! Of course, I knew your top product was going to be the Supersizer mascara! I love it too; but I just discovered the Lash Bloom mascara (pink tube) and it's also wonderful for straight "uncurlable" lashes like ours. I'm looking forward to other brands you feature. I would love to see L'oreal, Maybelline, and Nyx. Have you considered doing Top 5 Bottom 5 for skincare (Olay, Cerave, etc.)? That would be lovely. Thanks for these creative and informative videos! :) - Maris
Great video concept, Emily! I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your hard work and creativity in coming up with new video ideas. It's no wonder you've been my fave for the last 4 years. I may not comment much, but I surely appreciate all you do, keep up the good work!
Would love to see this type of video for make up for ever, the Sephora collection, or Mac! Basically any brand that has a ton to choose from, because I often purchase things based on your reviews!
I gotta say that almost all of the lash blast mascaras from Covergirl are amazing. I started with Covergirl mascaras when I started wearing makeup and now that I've tried a bunch of high end mascaras (think: smashbox, benefit, bareminerals, itcosmetics, etc) and I'm making my way back to Covergirl mascaras -- my latest fave is... The Super Sizer... LOVE IT. I'm not a false lash kinda girl (wish I could get them to look great and stay on!) and I love this stuff. :)
THANK YOU for putting so much time and effort into drugstore reviews. I'm tired of the usual makeup guru talking mostly about high end products and doing only a random drugstore haul here and there which doesn't even give me a good idea whether the product is worth it or not. THANK YOUUUUU!!!! You're awesome :)
Emily, Do you think you can do a video on changing your make up as you get older, I would think I'm about your sisters age. I can't seem to find a set of rules as you age, the thought of wearing cosmetics that makes me look older is not to appealing. There are some women that look unattractive because of trying to look younger, I don't want to look that way. I would like to look proper but attractive for my age thank you for your help. Deborah😃
I like the top/bottom concept. I know some people don't want to "go negative", but as long as it's not mean-spirited, being informed on what products to watch out out for can be as, of not more, helpful as a " favorites " review. I wish more people did them. Because if you see the same product showing up in multiple "negative" reviews, you start to see when it's something more than person perspective at work.
You know what I love about all your videos?? That you really are atrue neutral" ski tone which allows you to review things on both warm and cool shades equally. There aren't a lot of true neutral youtubers out there!!
Wow, so glad you mentioned the Shimmering Sands trio. I've had this one in my stash for years. I carry one in my travel bag because its so easy and goes with everything. One other one I keep is one of the "classic" blushes called Classic Mink, another one of those little babies that can go with everything. Thank you Emily for this one.
So glad you mentioned the blushes! That trio holds one of my favorite highlighters! And that foundation is honestly the best I've ever tried! (For my skin anyway). Every time I use that foundation I get compliments on my skin, I never get compliments with any other foundation!!
Yes!! The Super Sizer mascara is fantastic! I had no idea, but when CoverGirl came out with the Star Wars line, I bought one of the mascaras and fell in love with it! A few months later, I was telling my sister-in-law, "that mascara was so good, I wish I could find it" lo and behold, it was the one she uses and my now-favorite: the Super Sizer!! I was so happy to have found it!! I'm not letting it go!! 😊
I would love to see you do this top 5/bottom 5 for some cruelty free brands! Examples include ELF, Too Faced, The Balm, Milani, and Wet n Wild. I love the concept of this series. You are so innovative!
Such a cool idea! Since you love Estee Lauder I think that would be interesting! I'd also like to see Makeup Forever, and for the drugstore Maybelline and NYX!
I have loved the Instant Cheekbones for years. They were on the shelves long before contouring and highlighting became the norm, and they are still the best.
Love that you actually used your top five in your look today, Emily! Love watching your videos and how you always give a full in depth review on likes and dislikes! Would love to see more drugstore brands (Revlon, L'oreal, Maybelline, Milani...) :)
I just have to say , I love how u come up with these unique twists on basic beauty videos! you're so creative and I love having your opinion before buying!
It will be nice to see the top and bottom products of The Balm (love their packaging and it does attract me into always getting something from them), Lorac, and Almay (seems there's not too much mention towards their products). Another thing I will love to see from you is best long stay (24 hour) lipsticks. I hate any lipsticks that transfer so who best than you to know which are the best products like that out there. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos. Fantastic work! I really like how seriously you take this (not to put anyone else down but you don't try to act like a fool in order to get the attention unlike some other you tubers). Again, Thanks!
Hey Emily, I'm really glad you're doing an updated take on those top ten videos. This was great, very informative. I would love to see Physician's Formula included in this series!
This is truly such a great idea for a series. I just wish you would do this on a brand you haven't talked about in a while. Most of these products are redundant from favorites/Emily awards/various Tutorials. I love you and love the channel. I Look forward to seeing more!
I really appreciate your creativity and consistency with your videos. Love the concept and how you always make the effort to wear the items you're talking about in the video.
you were the first beauty UA-camr I started watching and you're still the one I rely on the most for honest opinions and recommendations! really love the concept of this video and I think nyx, smashbox, elf, and Maybelline would be great brands to do :)
Love love LOVE this series Em, so great!! I think you should do them like you do your 1 brand tutorials, alternating drugstore and high end! I can think of four stand out, HG Covergirl products for me right off the bat without even thinking about it. Clump Crusher WP, super sizer WP, 3 in 1 stay fabulous foundation and the ready set gorgeous foundation (both of those foundations I have even used up entire tubes/bottles, I've NEVER fully used up any other foundation in my life!). They are all such fabulous products that I couldn't live without! There are also some standout lipsticks from the CG Queen collection that get overlooked quite a bit! Thank you for sharing Em! 😘😘

it's gonna be hard to find only 5 tops!
I tried a couple of Nyx items and the slide on eye liner wears off of me in an hour. the lip cremes I didn't care for either or at least the color I bought.
+Jen Taylor thank you! i thought i was the only one. i havent found a nyx product that i like yet. . .
I was excited when I seen Nyx in a store 15 min away from me. Do you have any recommendations of a good primer and setting spray? I have combo skin.
+SouthernMel yesssss please! they just opened a NYX store it's amazing

Oh yes! Essence please, I'd also love to see Sephora and Ulta brand products, I never hear about their lines of products.
Seconded! I never hear about Essence enough and I'm so curious. Their packaging is getting cute 😍
Great new concept! It's so nice to see best and worst products in one video. You always steer me right, Emily! HUGS! Candice

The Outlast foundation is my go-to and has been for two years. 💕 I think that Too Faced would be fun, and so would ELF!
Yes ELF!!

CoverGirl LashBlast in the orange tube is my all-time favorite mascara. It's the best I've ever used!
I would love to see other drugstore brands such as E.L.F , maybelline, and loreal

+Mary Franklin i'm glad you like it!! I've been reaching for it often! :)
Where did you find it? I can't seem to find it in my town.
+MsMinerva1 I got mine at Kmart but I've also seen it at rite aid and Dollar General. It's in a package hanging up on a hook not with the other cover girl lipstick in the display. Hope you find it 😃
I love this idea, every brand has good and bad products so it's interesting to see what they are. I'd love to see urban decay.
What is this? A UA-cam comment section full of appreciative messages? i have fallen into an alternate reality free of hate, racism, sexism and overall idiocy. I like it here. 😍
Thanks for being so wonderful and always including drugstore! You're soooooo refreshing from all the other "sponsored" beauty gurus!
I would love you to give top 5 bottom 5 of Two Faced.
I LOVE that you do so many different videos like this. You are so creative and don't just do generic tutorials or reviews. You mix it up and keep your subscribers learning and growing!
Elf, elf, elf, elf, elf! 😍 Oh, and Nyx.❤

You calm my anxiety with these videos! Always watching you before bed. Please do ELF next! 😊

haha..I also do the same thing
Great video concept, Emily! I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your hard work and creativity in coming up with new video ideas. It's no wonder you've been my fave for the last 4 years. I may not comment much, but I surely appreciate all you do, keep up the good work!

hi Emily! love this type of video...love to see essence cosmetics... thanks xox
Would love to see this type of video for make up for ever, the Sephora collection, or Mac! Basically any brand that has a ton to choose from, because I often purchase things based on your reviews!
I would love to see wet and wild, nyx, Essence, Rimmel
All the brands!!! Would love to especially see ELF, NYX, MAC and MUFE
+Samantha Jane I love your videos.
rimmel, nyx, milani!
Estee Lauder!! i know you love that brand, curious of the bottom five of estee lauder...
Oooo! That's a good idea for another brand for her to do. I'd be into that too. 😊
Emily,
Do you think you can do a video on changing your make up as you get older, I would think I'm about your sisters age.
I'd like to see one on Rimmel! 💕
You know what I love about all your videos?? That you really are atrue neutral" ski tone which allows you to review things on both warm and cool shades equally. There aren't a lot of true neutral youtubers out there!!
Are you wearing a lip liner with this lippie? If so, which 1?
+Jennifer De La Cruz nope, just the lipstick! :)
how do you not have a million subscribers yet?? I've been watching you for years and you are WAY past due for one mill!!
Way to go Emily- another hit with this series!! I would like to see Rimmel, Pixi and Essence.
Way to always come up with creative video ideas! Can't wait to see the rest of the series!
Love this format. Hard Candy would be great to see!
I love Shimmering Sands! It is my holy grail eye palette. The lightest color is the best inner corner highlight ever! Love you girl❤️
I have loved the Instant Cheekbones for years. They were on the shelves long before contouring and highlighting became the norm, and they are still the best.
Would love to see a Nyx, Maybeline as well as E.L.F version of this :)! As always a lovely vid and you looked beautiful

Great concept for a series! Nyx or Elf would be fun to see:)
You got me HOOKED ON that mascara. It is amazing and what I love is I can also use it on my bottom lashes. Perfect brush!
The original clean makeup foundation by CG is my holly grail. It always looks amazing and natural on me
YES Shimmering Sands, it truly is so good and so easy to put on! It's my go to when I don't want to try to hard!
Loving this series already!! I'm a huge fan of breakdown of the best products from each brand. It's fun seeing you love products I do.
I love that you are constantly coming up with new video ideas. No cookie cutter UA-camr here!
I really appreciate your creativity and consistency with your videos. Love the concept and how you always make the effort to wear the items you're talking about in the video.
You totally got me hooked on the supper sizer. I love notnspending $30 on my mascara now!
you were the first beauty UA-camr I started watching and you're still the one I rely on the most for honest opinions and recommendations! really love the concept of this video and I think nyx, smashbox, elf, and Maybelline would be great brands to do :)
I loved this. Reminded me of your older videos when you did Top 10 videos when you were still working and lived in the apartment.
I'd love to see this done for ELF, NYX, Benefit, Too Faced, Tarte, Milani and even Bobbi Brown! It's a great idea!
