I’m a 16 year cancer survivor. Praise God! Cancer is a wrecking ball. It comes through and destroys what you knew of life. It requires all your faith and strength to survive and once you do, the effects of the battle leave you both stronger and weaker. It takes a minute to find your new normal again. So, whether the press is preparing the public for something worse, or if Kate just knows she will need time to reconsider life and purpose and what she wants as she moves forward, I wish her well.

How can King Charles3 an elderly man of 75yrs plus had cancer operated on and he’s up and about working while Kate, a younger woman of 42yrs who is taking a preventative treatment for cancer not be up and about?

Auntie Fumi, I’ve been a nurse for 26 years, while my experience is cardiology and cardio thoracic surgery, and not oncology, I have never heard of anyone getting preventative chemotherapy! Palliative yes, preventative no, unless this is something reserved for Royals🤷🏽♀️

From the Moffitt Cancer Center - preventive chemotherapy/adjuvant therapy complements surgical intervention by targeting cancer cells that might have been left behind after tumor removal. It's a preventive measure against relapse.
Tell it like it is.......but of course some if us have no spiritual wisdom, want to place those who use money from the hard working public for their lavish lifestyle and who do nothing for poor public... on a pedestal, you forget their history and want to treat them like God fearing good people!

When I was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in November 2022, a breast surgeon wanted to put a port in my chest to start chemotherapy “in case there are tiny cells floating around in your blood stream.” I did not get chemo or radiation because my cancer did not metastasize, and I did not want that poison in my body!!
Maybe Princess Catherine’s oncologist used that language with her to soften the blow about how invasive chemotherapy will be in body to help accept the changes that her body is going through and give her hope.
I’m that she has lost a lot of hair and it is thinning, too. She was already very thin and I’m sure she is thinner now because chemotherapy affects your taste buds, immune system and your nervous system. I saw what it did to my late-mother’s body; she was frail and weak from the chemotherapy she was given for Stage IV breast cancer. She transitioned to the heavenly realm in 2014. 😢
Kate sees her life flashing before her eyes and she is scared for herself, but especially her children because they are so young! And this situation is another life-altering experience for William because of the tragic death of Princess Diana almost 27 years ago.
This family needs our prayers because can heal Kate’s body. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that He will heal Kate’s body and give her a full recovery!! Amen. 🙏🏽

According to the things we've seen about being a princess that job is extremely stressful and demanding. None of those things is conducive to being healthy and at peace. Prince William was born into it, raised and trained so he doesn't know anything else, so he can handle it, but others who were married into the monarchy, for them it has been a complete upheaval of their life and can wear on their body and sanity. This is why certain people have walked away, yet the monarchy saw it as an offense that Harry and Meghan left. Kate needs to take as much time off as she can to ensure that she is cancer free and completely healthy. Otherwise there will just be set-backs and more health problems. TAKE YOUR TIME KATE, TAKE YOUR TIME!!!

My mom worked while going through chemo. I wish she hadn't. I wish I had questioned why she felt she needed to. If she was worried about my Dad having to handle everything alone, well, he had to once she passed. I wish the best for Princess Catherine. Cancer is horrible.

This is very touching to me, I’m not a fan of the royals however battling cancer is NO joke! I lost my mom in 2018 from cancer I was 23 at the time and the things I saw happening to her are beyond cruel!! I pray for healing for everyone suffering from this disease💯🙏🏾

I think they’re gearing us up for how bad the Cancer is spreading or she’s had enough and she wants to spend the rest of her days with her kids or she’s had enough and her cancer treatment has let her know that she can’t do this anymore and she wants out for her mental and physical health.

yup...it's one of those 2 things...It's either she in bad shape and they prepping OR this was a wake up call and she done with the BS...I am hopeful it's the latter though..especially when they say PREVENTATIVE treatment, there is some hope in that as mentioned in other parts of the comments that if you have a tumor or a section that has cancer removed you can do treatments to ensure things don't return or small amounts of harmful cells aren't still there...I hope she'll be okay, the whole concept of 'royal duties' shouldn't be priority right now...Stress is a hell of thing more than people understand when it comes to any illness and one needs as LITTLE stress as possible.
I just read this Newsweek article on her. With today’s date. They state she is hopeful. I hope and pray she lives a peaceful life sans running here and there. Her health is number one. I hope the Royal aides lay off scheduling her these engagements

I don't believe William is the loving husband the palace is trying to portray based on his treatment to her before and after the announcement. I don't think Kate can return to any of her previous roles and I do not believe it's all due to cancer. I do believe something is seriously wrong and I really feel for her children, who have also gone missing since she's gone missing.

Chemotherapy breaks the body down, it destroys any quickly replicating cells. That includes skin,hair,digestive tract, cancer cells, and red and white blood cells. So if you are exposed to any virus or bacteria, your body can’t fight it off.

Because her immune system is compromised, and also because she is losing her hair and more weight. I’m sure she’s not seen in places where people can take fotos of her.

If she’s going to preventative treatment it’s mean she doesn’t have cancer. My mother went through it, but it was radiation not chemotherapy. It’s exhausting and changes a person. But she was very active, at 60+ years of age, and she was still working. I know it can be different for everyone but Kate has the best doctors around her. If she’s coming back, she’s coming stronger… however too many lies have been told, their pr team is the worst. If she’s alive, and she’s not able to express herself yet, she’s going to be very disappointed on how they treated her. And her husband needs to stop telling people she’s doing well! Take all the blame and stand up for your wife at this moment.
I'm battling breast cancer stage 2 and it's difficult. I was diagnosed in June 2023. I am currently on immunotherapy and I had lumpectomy surgery in May 2023. I know what she's going through. It's a tough battle.

Actually being on the slimmer side, even slightly underweight is not associated with negative health outcomes which you get with being over weight. Especially arou d the middle. We are so used to seeing people carrying too much fat that we think its normal. Its not. Even a few extra pounds tip the scales in the wrong direction.

Cancer does not only change your body, your physical strength, but also your inner being. You realise that there mayn't be a "LATER". That later is now and your time is limited. For me, I took up politics to change the world. For her it might be something completely different, like giving her loved ones as much of her time as possible.

Good Afternoon Fumi. This is very hard touching. Especially for everyone all around the world as well as myself to have a loved one who has battled cancer or have battled cancer. My sister had colon cancer by the time she found out she was in the last stages.... But because of the prayers and the love of the family and the doctor she had they fought with her and she is fine now. It hurts but I learned we have to all stay strong and say our prayers and leave it to the man above because we know he never makes mistakes. As for princess Kate I do not know her personally. But my heart goes out to her as well as my prayers. I always been like this meaning everybody's business is nobody's business and she is entitled to her privacy. We all do not need to know what every step that she is taking. Are getting to a business wanting to know what the doctors saying or why she's not coming out with a public can see her just let her spend time with her loved ones. I mean that's just my opinion just because she is royalty does not mean we have to know all of her personal business. My heart goes out to her and King Charles like I said even though I do not know them personally my heart and prayers God to each and everyone.

Yes. Adjuvant Chemo is commonly offered after surgery to 'mop up' rogue cancer cells. There are no guarantees. It is an incredibly stressful time for all concerned. 🙏🏿
I just had my second stroke in September of last year and I’m praying and saving to attend your meet and greet. It is really important to me because I am a grandmother of eight and my oldest granddaughter is 14 and I try to keep her around positive energy rather it’s men or women she will carry the reign for all the other grandchildren that I have. I am a faith fighter. I have battled cancer three times and have suffered with asthma since birth but my God says I am a purpose for his army and with that I love. I truly hope to meet you my sister ❤❤❤

I don't understand all the drama and lies around Kate. I Fear William did something to her in a fit of anger and the palace is covering up. Charles has cancer and we see him. Sarah Ferguson has cancer and we see her. Chad Boswick had cancer. Patrick Swayze. What is all this alluding and so on? We want to see her. We send prayers of healing. This is a cover-up. That's what I believe. We really have not in actual fact see Kate since last year. She has cancer. What is so hideous about cancer? Something diabolical is being covered up.
The late QEII had Cancer and we saw her up to 2 days before she passed.
The late QEI the Queen's mother had breast Cancer and we saw her up to her passing
King Edward had cancer and we saw him
King George the late QEII's father had cancer and he was seen out and about - up to death. Modern medicine has evolved significantly since then. Are they trying to tell us that because she's a commoner Kate is not able to access the BEST our UK health service has to offer therefore she she needs to be hidden away? Charles is older, left fit and STILL out and about meeting, greeting and shaking hands with people which is VERY surprising for someone undergoing cancer treatment. So why is Kate being isolated.
Don't get me wrong, no one is asking to see her on public walkabouts, but the BEST make up artists and Wig makers can surely prepare her for a Zoom call. Also why are Charlotte and Louis being hidden away and poor George being trotted out like the latest collateral damage, being used to prop up the monarchy. It's the lies and offensive insult to the general public's common senses that we won't question anything or take everything being drip-fed as gospel that I find so incredulous. We've already seen how easily the palaces spin lies to cover up, what they think the public aren't discerning enough to figure out.

There is a lot more going on with the entire situation and the palace is doing a hatchet job of getting on top of this. They need to fire their entire PR team and hire newer and younger team who understand how to handle these sharks hungry for a story.

No, Fumi, its not as serious as you're making it out to be. Im a 10 year cancer survivor. She has probably just decided to spend more time with the family. She has a young family so completely understand. Everything right now is speculation.
Fumi , you know what ? You would have been a great surgeon ! Cause your happiness makes people feel good ! :) As for the princess : she won't survive I think , because this is a cancer with a bad pronostic. Very few survive... .This being said when you have money you can access a lot of different treatments , way more efficient than what we, simple humans ,have ... (for what I understand ) , so we never know !
US Weekly isn’t a very connected source for royal news. Hopefully she takes all the time she needs and recovers fully. She’ll likely be back in full swing next year, should all go well
There are a lot of advancement in treatment and I have no doubt that she will have access to the best of care. For all we know she could be out of the country for her sound mind and recovery. I pray she recovers and maximizes all her time with her children. The public needs to leave her alone. She is human and she needs to prioritize her health. Prayers for her.

I believe strongly her not coming back has nothing to do with cancer, it has more to do with problems in their marriage. The Palace maybe phasing her out slowly and quietly making William look like the 'loving' hubby to avoid the public backlash that may come. Something else happened that will come out in the future, and whatever it is has mentally and emotionally broke Kate. The woman has been holding it together smiling, waving and acting like all is well and dandy while she was losing herself. Wish her well. I will say this…colon cancer causes significant weight loss. In the last two years she looked thinner and thinner and started to age quickly. I believe it’s far more advanced than we know.

I wondered how she could put up with all the stress she must have dealt with for all those years! She always seems to be perfect under any pressure and I feel she was doing too many things too soon. I hope it all works out for them!
I always remember Diana, Sarah and even Meghan saying the Monarchy is only EVER concerned with how things look and NOT with how it feels. Sadly I knew it was only a matter of time before we reached this juncture with Kate. Sadly for Kate she thought she would be above it all. I remember being told Diana was loopy and kept throwing herself down the stairs JUST for attention - turned out Charles and Camilla's affair was making her young life a living hell. The palace and its mates in the tabloids are doing what they do best and badly, which is trying to divert attention, cover up the truth and PRETEND all is normal. WHEN are people going to wake up and say enough is enough? How many more young women must be subjected to this nonsense - going in as perfectly fine, sane young women and if they are lucky to make it out alive, coming out mentally, emotionally, physically and psychologically damaged.
We have been lied to from the get go and I feel this is soft launch to something many will be shocked by, if they've NOT been paying close attention. They fact this family were happy to turn the other cheek and pretend they last 8 years for Meghan, Harry and then their kids is perfectly normal - it was only time before Kate became the next victim. Anyone could see this young woman wilting right before our very eyes, yet NO ONE wanted to say anything, too focused on trying to ruin Meghan & Harry. All the women marry in perfectly normal and when the isht hits the fans its the women who are blamed, or lose themselves while the Royal men carry on like nothing has happened.
As a mother I feel for those three children and Kate's parents, however I always maintain, the history of the Royal Family has and continues to teach me everything I need to know. At this point, it appears Meghan is the only one to have had a lucky escape in marrying a husband who maintains her health and safety as HIS main priority and then his kids - even IF that means removing himself from all he's ever known.
It's one thing to call out strangers when they cause us harm and damage but it's another thing to have the balls to call out you family especially when that hurt is directed at the person you choose as your life partner. What I see happening here is that once again the Windsor man is going to be made to look like Mr Perfect.
A warning to parents embrace and support your children in their choices, in the event of it not working out as planned, just be there for them. Never assume because a family is wealthy, educated, well to do, it does not compute that they are better. NEVER be taken in by the window dressing - but observe those who entered the family and then exited and look at how they were spoken about. Eventually, the common denominator cannot be overlooked.

I think you missed the point. The article said thar "once she's fully recovered" she still may not cone back. Meaning she's found that she would really be home for her kids doing home and mom things. Ask any mom that WFH during COVID. It's tough to leave your family to go to work after that.
