I would have known if either had been gay, some of the best freinds I've had since I was a kid are gay and I saw it in some of my son's friends and I always encouraged my kids not to be judgemental about race, religion or sexual preferences. Well I'm proud of your Mom for speaking her mind on this subject as it's something I've recently come to terms with. NOT the my son is gay part, that part of the discussion I absolutely knew and realized when he was 4. For me it was wrapping my mind around the contradictions in my own head in regard to what I knew and know in my heart and what I have been taught by the churches of this world. I had a really hard time grasping at the truth within when their truth kept being shoved back at me. I finally had to fight for my voice, that unwavering Momma tiger, that victor to come out swinging! I have an awesome kid who is beautiful and I love him. At the end of it all that is what you're fighting for and that is your truth. Gay, straight, bi or trans they are ours and as parents we have been gifted with them! Oh and if you have a child and your in tune with him or her you should know wether they are gay or not. It's instinctive Mom's.
