Curling is a precision sport that involves sliding polished granite stones, called rocks, down a sheet of ice towards a target area consisting of concentric circles. Teams take turns sliding stones and sweeping the ice in front of them to influence the speed and direction of their stones. The team that has the most stones closest to the center of the target area at the end of each end (similar to a turn in curling) scores points. Curling is a strategic and physically demanding sport that requires a high degree of teamwork and coordination.
