  • Everyone seemed to like the first automatic spray can that I made so in this video I’m diving a bit deeper in the subject and making 4 different automatic spray can activators. Bring in the silly string!

    I enjoyed the process of this video. I've just started learning how to use Fusion 360 and didn't realise you could import photos into it. It's nice to see the stages that lead to the final product.
    You even show the mistakes you make e.g. the welding on the bench grinder. It's reassuring to beginners like me that even the professionals occasionally make mistakes.
    Great videos. Thank you.

      Hey, thats awesome to hear! Yeah, importing pictures can be a super nice tool for projects like this. I like to keep in the mistakes for exactly that reason. We can all learn from it that way

    Very pragmatic. Just this evening I was talking of a lighter vessel to push air in paint gun.

    I loved that you showed a little of how you model things you 3d-print. That was really clever to me who don't have a 3D-printer..

    So much fun! One tip I have for attaching the clips to the cans, design a little recess/through hole in the collar and you can run a cable tie round it and help secure to the can. Also, have a look at a servo, a bit more work to activate (something like an Arduino is easy enough), but much more control than the motor.

    • @Thepracticalengineer
      @Thepracticalengineer  4 роки тому

      Thanks Slugsie! I thought about the zip tie as well. it would definitely help. What I liked without it is that it's easy to swap out the cans. But with the smaller cans it might be better to do use a zip tie

    • @Slugsie1
      @Slugsie1 4 роки тому

      @@Thepracticalengineer You can of course get reusable zip ties which would be easy enough to remove and reuse.

    I'm a critter keeper here to figure out if it would be cheaper to build something that squeezes the trigger on a standard spray bottle than it would be for me to buy a misting system, since I don't need much spray for my setup.
