    You could also try parting your hair in the opposite direction. I have got exactly same type of hair as yours and opposite parting along with mousse helps a lot to create volume on top.

    What i typically do since i have close to the same hair type as you just a tad bit thicker is, i use my fingers instead of a comb since i feel like the comb thins it way more and using your fingers thickens somehow.

    Volumeising shampoo also works. Although it can be difficult to comb when coming out of the shower. You might pull some hairs out. I think I'll try that volume mousse however.

    Okay guys so some paranoid people watching this seem to be getting triggered and thinking that using a hairdryer this way will 'kill' their hair and make them bald. If you're really bothered then use heat protectant spray before using the hairdryer after the mousse, it's not difficult. Enough with the crazy home remedies too haha

  • @lamebubblesflysohigh

    Guys I am slowly getting bald. It is almost 10 years since it started and let me tell you something.... I used to eat the cleanest food possible, use only bio and high quality shampoos, avoid any additional hair products such as pastes etc. and not even looking at the hair dryer. It had 0 effect on my situation, I am still balding so for a few months now I said to myself FUCK IT and now I use hair dryer, foams and creams... my head looks better than 10 years ago when I had 2 times more hair than now. If you are destined to go bald, you will... make the most of your hair why you still have any. If you are not going bald be more careful but still... if you fuck up your hair, just shave it for a season and you will grow new healthy hair in no time.

    Great vid man, appreciate it. My hair thickness/weight seems really similar to yours so this is mega useful.
    Out of interest, how does your hair sit if left to dry naturally? The issue I have with the initial 'all over/all direction' dry is that I almost need that pre-dry to set in place the sweepback effect (basically directing it back, and blow drying from face to the back of the head). If I initially dry it in all directions I then struggle to get a smooth looking sweep, if that makes sense. Perhaps I can make it work without the first drying stage - I'll give it a go!

    • @BenArthur
      @BenArthur  7 років тому +1

      Mine just sits flat forward. My hair really is deadweight because it's so fine and flat. I would recommend doing the all direction dry first, then when you can feel your hair is getting nearly dry, switch and blow it upwards/backwards.I also find that when applying mousse, apply it to your hair in the shape/direction you want your hair to go. You'll see in this video I apply the mousse in a backwards direction, with my hair almost being a 2D version of the final result :)

    • @dominicwhite8386
      @dominicwhite8386 7 років тому +1

      Sweet - great advice. Maybe I need to put more focus on the mousse, as you say. I'll keep trying it! Thanks again

  • @KevinArcade87

    I never use any product in my hair and it always looks good as long as I don't touch it too often. I just wet my hair and comb it how I want it. Then I let it dry and comb it a few more times to add volume.

      use coconut oil or olive oil in ur hair (look at yt videos on how to do so). Also, don't use any products in ur hair, and drink lots of water and eats lots of meat (especially fish). if it gets really bad go to a doctor.

      luxus 20 use castor oil and coconut oil, do scalp massages and headstances to drive blood into your head. Also don' t eat a lot of meat and dairy products and instead megadose on fruits and vegies. Animal hormones will speed up hair loss. Eat flax seads and avacados for the essential fatty acids and most importanly drink tons of watter. Make sure you have little stress in your life as well. Hope this helps.

      15 is very early age to start. to make sure make an appointment with a dermatologist to check if you have male pattern baldness. if he says yes then there are 2 things you can do depending on how bad your hair is. if its just started to diffuse and u have a good hairline and thickness as in u dont have bald patches showing up or extremely thin hair showing scalp then the doctor will start off with minoxidil also known as rogaine. but if ur hair is in a really bad state then doctor might prescribe minoxidil and finasteride. those are the only 2 drugs that can save hair from male pattern baldness. but make sure u visit your dermatologist first i cant stress that enough. theres a difference between a mature hairline and losing hair. as humans age their hairline matures but balding is losing excessive hair for which it is better to start as early as possible. all the oils they are talking about are only good for conditioning hair not preventing hair loss.

    Hey you should go for a white or grey background and you need a much more better lighting it will definitely bring a change in the quality of your videos otherwise your videos are good and cover a lot of different topics which is awesome...

    • @BenArthur
      @BenArthur  8 років тому

      Hi my friend! The background is actually white but for some reason my lights make it come out purple haha. I have a new lighting kit that I will use for filming next week so hopefully you should notice a difference :)

      Have you tried white balancing the camera? Also sometimes changing the settings to "Fluorescent lighting" adapts to the lights that is used. I tend to change my phone settings when I'm outside to the "Cloudy" setting as it makes my pictures come out with more colours and looks natural, instead of it looking all pale blue and white. Great videos btw

      hey Alex the old camera I used to use had no white balancing options. You will find my videos are all now using a much better camera! Thanks for your feedback though! Glad you enjoy the videos! :)

      hello! thanks for your reply! and yes the new videos look much improved :) I'm slowly getting through your videos and hopefully you haven't done it yet, but have you thought about doing one about tailored/slim shirts? instead of the usual regular shirt. I've started wearing tailored and they're so much better! as there's not as much material left over at the back. Thought of your channel when I learnt about that. Take care :)

      +Pandu Chuna You can do as often as you want. I usually just do it 1-2 times a week. Give it a shot. If you get a bad smell from it just use a shampoo to as you are washing it off
