My first year in school, 1973, all the other children seemed to singing this song, and it was wonderful! As a fellow Kiwi, I can't/don't understand why/how this song didn't become a huge international hit!
.....you and me BOTH - some other GREAT songs on that album, too - AMONG them, "Tonight" by The Raspberries; one of the ONLY places where Lighthouse's "Pretty Lady" appeared in its SINGLE version.....
Very underrated group . They were around for a good few years and had some great hits . Wonderful chemistry between Madeline Bell and Roger Cook too . & Madeline should have been a much bigger star .
@@mjones4083 Yes I agree totally - Madeleine had a difficult time at the end of the 1970s -no record company in UK would give her a contract hence her relocation to Holland where she was fortunately appreciated.
@@user-ww7ov9pe2z It's good that there is so much of her stuff out there now on the Internet.People of all generations can appreciate her exceptional talent .
Really enjoyed that version. Blue Mink, special band.
2024 n loving this vid 💖🌟🙌
I loved seeing Blue Mink sing By The Devil on a Sandie Shaw show in August 1973.- Music My Way
My Māori Whānau would often sing this song when I was a kid. Still love it. ❤ Thank you for posting 🥰🥰🥰

Such a great sing along song!
gods i love this song! its taking me out of a long dark place. only music and love can do that. but without one the other is wasted.
Cool song.
I have this on an old K-tel collection called Music Power. Great tune. One of tghat record's highlights.
WOW! Blast from the past. It was also on K-tel's Sound Explosion 1973. The entire album is amazing.
