I'm sold I was checking out a A8L but now I'm going for this S8
I do agree all the comments made in the video. I’ve had two of these S8 (2006, 2008) and it still is one of my favourite car. Indeed, buying one nowadays you can get a lot of car for your money, such heavily they have been depreciated in value over the years. However, although very reliable car, should something go wrong/break down, it tends to be pretty expensive to sort out (particularly OEM parts are hideously priced). Although V10 is not making comparable growling noise as S63, it is very addictive. Using S8 in daily commuting city/town environment is totally pointless as fuel economy is appalling. The car is at its best in long distance travelling on highways.
So Then you choose S63 or S8 I love the S55 AMG never a S63

I love The Combination Of Luxury & Sport Options The Audi S8 Has To Offer! I Also Like The Big Quad Grill & Active Suspension, Premium Interior Package(B&O Sound System W/Pop Up Tweeters Near Windshield, Carbon Fiber Inlets) Of Course Paddle Shifters! Tops On The List The Lambo Derived V10 Engine! I LOVE How My Car Sounds & Performs!
I have just bought a 2006 s8 with a aftermarket exhaust wow what an amazing car so comfy and very fast indeed I don't think I will drive/own another car as nice
What’s the fuel consumption?

@fr0st if your concerned about fuel consumption it is not for you I get an average of 20mpg and when I floor it 4mpg

@@oniAMG first month of owning the car 1 rocker gasket blew I realised both gaskets had dried out and cracked so I replaced both of them myself 2 month later it started missing I plugged in vcds and discovered exhaust crank sensor had blew I replaced that another month later bottom power steering hose split apart from that the car has been ok since if you buy an s8 d3 be prepared to fix it you definitely need vcds to show you what the fault is and I gauretee you will at some point get a fault with the d3 bit it's worth it what a car they are to drive

I have two of this S8, 2006 and 2007, one full option with B&O solar powered sunroof ceramic brakes, one with least options even no sunroof. With after market titanium exhaust, the car sounds great and engine is pretty reliable. I love naturally aspirated engines, they give you instant response and smooth torque curve all round

How reliable is to buy a 10 year used luxury car. I understand in this case is an audi also being a VW and Vw vehicles are quite reliable, i have a jetta 2015 and had no problems.
That's a very valid question. Unless you know who did own it previously, it is a bit of lottery. I'd say that the stamps in the service gives an indication whether the car has been taken care of, how many previous owner it has had ..and definitely not buying one without seeing, taking a closer look at & test driving (a stupid mistake I've done myself once... and will not do it again).
Idk very late here but I’d say best bet is to try and find a one or two owner with a history of being serviced. It’s usually fairly easy to tell if one has been taken care of
Pues otra cosa es tenerlo y usarlo, vale la pena lo que se puede gastar en mantenciónes y gasolina, es un auto increíble lo demás pueden hablar por qué no lo tienen.

Tough call, I've seen enough of these V10 Audi's listed having between 100-200kkm and the seller already stated they had a new engine. Doesn't promise much in terms of reliability.
Do they have an inherent failure point like the connecting rods on BMW V10's?

@@Aroncare Closest relative to that engine actually is v8 from rs4 b7 just 2 cylinder more.
Bore size is same also 88mm
also in the S8 and S6 / RS6 it's not 5.2... but 5.0!
@@tav_mushanhu it's 5.2 in the s6 and 8 but in the rs6 it's a 5.0 biturbo
