Please address the fact that, as we get older, society is seeing us as worthless and taking up room. We are seen as worthless human beings that no longer have to contribute to society. It's dampening everyone's will to live and continue to contribute to the world!!

I'm 65 and when I was in my late 30s I started to question life's big questions. What's my purpose on this earth, why am I here.
I was in good marriage, 2 healthy beautiful children, etc. Yet, felt I was missing something.
I read Betty's book "Embraced By The Light".
Bought 5 copies and gave them out.
A short time after a series of events occurred and led me to a truth that got me back on my path.
The answer was...........Learn to love uncondionally, like Jesus did.
Since then I've learned SO much through life experience !

The wisdom of elders is seen as a treasure in every part of the world. This is what we lack in the West. We have lost the connection with the elders.

Not in my family AND not in the families of any one I know actually. The world is what we make it. Everyone is not the same, there are always exceptions to everything. Many many many people “in the West” Do know the Elders are treasures of wisdom. It depends on the “culture” of each individual family household. If they are taught to respect the elders they Will Do it as they grow into adults. So if by “the West” you mean the U.S. . . We are not all the same in this Country. ❤️

Great podcast w/Gladys! Early on when she talks about refusing help from the man at the grocery store it rang a bell w/me. I’m a 78 yr old female (I don’t look or act it) and am just realizing recently to let people help me. I’ve been on my own a very long time, divorced and never remarried for 40 years. I got so used to doing everything on my own and had the attitude that I was so powerful and didn’t need any help. I regret that now. I’m only now accepting help even for small favors when they are offered. It helps me and more importantly it gives the helper joy and purpose for him or herself. It’s an honorable thing to help someone and to be helped!

I am both so sorry and so proud of you. Your journey has been beyond hard and yet you know you are needed. Do you get Community Assistance. I am a single mother with two sons and found the office of Assistance and it has changed my life so much. Italy is also very cheap and no crime and homes are 400.00 a month and people are delightful. Look into 90 days there and 90 days in Ireland. Great inspiration there. You can contact me for more info for help. Stay positive, things will change for the better. Xoxo

I'm only 78 and when I went to medical school I couldn't get a loan because I was a woman. All 6 of the women in a class of 126 had fathers who believed in them and were helping them through.

😮I'm 78,becoming a philosopher. As a child I was ridiculed by a jealous sister. Father told me "you know nothing" but mother was an angel. I left home @ 20 travelled the world. My love relationships always ended. I know why. At 35 I sought out the purpose of life. Finally, I learned to live in the present, put myself and my needs first. I love my solitary life. My mother was a water sign, I too am water, Pisces. My dearest daughter is too a water soul. One must be their true self. I write, I love life. Love is in us all. We must share with one another. Never restrict yourself by restricting your life and putting boundaries on our age. It Really is just a number 😂😂😂

Awe! Gladys was born the same year as my mom (who lived to be 96).
I agree … doctors “fix” things and guide us to recovery when we are sick or broken, but love (along with a good doctor-patient relationship) is the great healer!! ❤ And … might I add, since we are taught that God is love, then we see that God in us is the great healer! ❤
Thank you for this genuine, heartwarming interview! I thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening … with love! ❤️

I am 80 years old now and I can honestly say that the five Ls she mentioned are absolutely essential. Actually, in my retirement years now I am so much more able to pay attention to things of interest to me. I can listen to things for hours on end to learn more and more every day. I only listen or read things that I can learn by..once in a while I do solitaire or watch a program I love (NCIS), but for the most part I’m only geared toward substantive info..

She is brighter than most .
    Loved hearing about her mum.
More gorgeous and youthful than many .
Elders of this age, exude a new born baby look about them , I see .
Dress sense is suitably energetic, the cool green with abstract print , single noticeable broach jewel , the dainty long necklace of bead, and matching broach style rings ; and the beautiful braid bun hair do ; she is like a girl in a painting .
What she said from her experience I need to think on about not fixing things ; being a maintenance person, jump to fixing it. (Don't know whether I can break the habit but at least I don't try and fix things that are not broken).
Love the background, with all her nice things on display in the handsome real deal wood wall cabinet . Looking at her home decor .
    She is truly amazing !
Totally gorgeous and youthful and endearing woman .
Didn't like the "mother earth" thing . But that's me . I don't like the hippie in anyone . Nor in me so no one gets upset by my aversion to that part of her message.
This was a hopeful, and optimistic, pleasurable video, especially for UA-cam .
I hope it inspires others to do the same as it is the circle of life skills sharing and rather important. 😊
