"Ear Candy" is just...not...quite...right. It's more like "Ear Drugs". Pink Floyd is not something that tastes real nice, and gives you a bit of a "sugar rush" (candy). It is a Major Narcotic. Something that will blow your mind, and may very well destroy you, and you know from now on , you'll be addicted and NEED it, but you do it anyway, because it is JUST THAT GOOD.
I love seeing people get chills during the last Comfortably Numb solo. A guitar solo that gives people chills! Pink Floyd will always be the greatest band in history.

I was at a fairground in Belgium in 1988, when one of the rides put this on. The whole fairground came to a standstill and everybody slowly migrated to the ride playing it. it was shocking and beautiful reaction.

My husband died over 7 yrs ago he knew he was dying 6 months before and planned his own funeral , John was a life long Pink Floyd fan and this was one of the tracks we played at his funeral , can't listen to it without my heart breaking ..I feel so close to him each time I hear it ..xxx
Syd moved into his parents' house in Cambridge, where he was known as just a bloke around town. The band he helped form became world-famous. He died at 60 in 2006.
His death is the reason I even got into Floyd in the first place. I remember it being a short little segment on the news and my mom was like "You know your dad really loved Pink Floyd", and needless to say I didn't have a very good connection with him so I started listening to them and became hooked. We have a great relationship now, me and my dad, he even gave me his Shine On boxset which he got when he turned 30.

Pink Floyd is loaded with Masterpieces. In 1973 they came out with Dark Side of the Moon, that same year Elton John released the Good Bye Yellow Brick Road album. Funeral For A Friend is among the Masterpieces on it. I turned 16 that year. A good year.

I got locked up for over a year when I was 15, back in the mid 80s. This album saved my sanity going through that very tough and lonely time. It's so cool to see young people discovering Floyd and appreciating it all these years later. Thanks for posting.

I broke my ankle while gettin heat he drug me backward almost 1/4 mile.. I got hit once.. he got hit 4 times . Later got a bad habit, worked nonstop to support it.. died at 25 I listen to it regular , but it ain't ever easy. I love when people hear it and love it.
