His present club FC Lorient just got relegated with 29 points they lost 4 of their last 5 games. They had more goals against them then any other club in the league 66 but scored more than a few mid table 43. He will 100% be leaving FC Lorient but does not mean hes coming to Sunderland :)

All the decent managers/coaches are aware of the way SAFC have treated Tony Mowbray after the excellent job he did at the club. Tony is a highly respected and well know manager so it is no surprise that anyone with any knowledge and credentials will defer when presented with the same situation he faced. The "model" must change and be more flexible. I am minded of a quote "all models are wrong but some are useful" (Albert Box, renowned statistician). This model has been useful but it is time to change it pronto!!!

Hi Cabbie - I'm ok with RLB - he was compared to Will Still and Nice were interested in signing him not long ago, so he has got something + he'll have learned from a difficult season. He's lots of experience coaching younger players which we have in spades..Seems a decent choice -- let's hope it works out well.
To be fair he had a good first season on little to no budget an over achieved probably but in the preseason of his second season the Lorient president sold all there best players an told him to use the kids so really it could be good or bad just don’t know people saying never heard of him but I hadn’t heard of 90% of the managers we been linked with either if it’s him give the lad a chance 🤷

If this man does get the job then obviously I'll get behind him and give him a chance but personally I think this is gonna be the french version of Beale, I find it very concerning where the man is 46 and he's only been coaching for 2 year, in his first season in charge of Lorient he finished 10th so that's decent but it doesn't really fill you with confidence when last season he got relegated, personally I think this one will happen cos reports in France are saying he's keen and talks are at an advanced stage, like I said I'll give the man a chance but it would be a massive gamble and doesn't fill me with confidence
@@owensara3803 I did some research after that comment and that's true to be fair, about 3 or 4 key players were sold and they nearly stayed up on the last day of the season, they won 5 nil against Clermont foot and only went down on goal difference, I'm very 50/50 on him now, I left a comment on Michaels channel where I go into more detail if u want to have a look

If u look at their squad their best assessts were sold and the squad wasn't anywhere near good enough.
