    I really miss being in Tennessee 😢 fort campbell was a cool duty station met some of the coolest car guys and dopest events. Tennessee is really slept on in the car community and they dont care about emissions like that

    Speedy is one of the few on UA-cam that actually works on his car and has great knowledge about mechanics and cars in general. He doesn’t just have sponsors that send him parts then goes and drops it off at a shop. Real gear head car guy. 🤌

      There are many of us out there who are like-minded car enthusiasts. Not everyone is out for the fame and free parts😎

      Ha, he was actually telling me my gas cap was open LOL. With collecting samples, remembering to start the data log, etc I forgot to close it.

    Very informative content🧐
    I am about to get a 2018 used hellcat widebody
    About 12,000 miles
    Something tells me dodge pushed these hellcats to the limit as far as power is concerned
    So I think a flex fuel kit would be like
    Putting icing on the cake for these cars!!!🥲

    Great video as always Jay. 👌Too bad my plain Jane car doesn’t have all the fancy equipment to run flex fuel…😢

      Thanks Eddie. Yeah these newer Mopars have some pretty nice features capable in the software. The 2018s and up are even better.

    Nice Vid Speedy... you do a great job with your video's. I have to ask I wonder how long E85 will be around for... there is such a push for EV vehicles...if they stop producing E85 vehicle will the fuel then start to go away??? I hope not... I have a station just a few miles away,.. but you do wonder.

    Who are you using for a tuner? I'm interested in a flex fuel tune.

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  2 роки тому

      I do most of it myself these days but Mike from www.OSTDyno.com is good as well as www.Dusterhofftuning.com

    Speedy, I just hired my tuner and I would say he is one of the Top 3 Hellcat names out there. Anyway during my build discussion it was said that E85 at 85% is better and safer than something like Q16. I planned to run flex fuel on one pulley and a different one for a full tilt tune on tested E85. With that being said why not swap your renegade for something like tested E85 or better yet X85 or E90 from VP?

      I've used Renegade race fuels for years with excellent results, so when I start going that route I'll use their Pro E85 product. Stay tooned :)

      @@SpeedysGarage Gotcha! I wasn't meaning brand loyalty, I was referring to dropping race fuel for the benefit of ethanol. Trust me I always stay tuned to your channel! Take care and God bless.

    Hey Speedy, I'm up in NE Ohio. Can you recommend a reputable shop even within a day's drive to put my Hellcat on E85 and a upper pulley and Dyno tune? I've used Crucial Performance in the past but it doesn't look like there open anymore. Thought that you might know of somebody. Thank, Rick

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  3 роки тому +1

      The only folks I'd work with currently would be Mike from OSTdyno.com or Dusterhoff Tuning. Neither are in NE OH but you wanna make sure you go with someone that's an expert with Mopar tuning and make a drive if you have to. Installing the pulley is pretty easy (I have a video on the channel) and you can get a remote tune from either of these guys that'll be on point.

      Thanks, That's a big help. I figured that I may have to hit the road for this and camp out until it's done then go home.

    E85 increases compression ratio? Please explain.

    • @MoonBoost
      @MoonBoost 3 роки тому +3

      E85 does not increase compression. That is false. E85 cools combustion temps, intake temps and draws in more air because it has more gravity than gas which in turn raises your VE.

    • @SpeedysGarage
      @SpeedysGarage  3 роки тому

      The way it was explained to me is that the additional fuel volume required for E85 vs gasoline (about +30%) means more fluid volume in the cylinder during the compression stroke which does (should?) raise the compression in the cylinder. No idea by how much but I'm sure there's some equation somewhere to prove or disprove for that matter. Would help explain the higher torque readings from E85 though I reckon?
