- In this video, Foxy and OMR head over to Westmoor Farm fishery to fish the new Chloe's Cabin swim on Sandpit lake. We headed over on the Wednesday for a 48 hour session and to say we were excited was an understatement.
It was a tough session with the weather not really knowing what it wanted to do. Watch to find out if we could bag a carp or two.

Just abit of friendly advice i think with D-rig Having a balanced bait on aids the rig mechanics massively, a simple off the shelf wafter hookbait is perfect for this rig, as is a snowman hookbait. Having a slow sinking bait allows the hook to lie flat on the bottom and the bait hovering just above it. unlucky guys great video as always though
Thanks for the tip mate. I do tend to mainly use a wafter with the d-rig as you say it sits just off the bottom then. Was a tough session but defo a venue we’ll return to.
Unlucky lads …. Never blanked just ran out of time 😂😂
Haha very true mate. Great shout on the beer 🍺
Loved the vid lads, it certainly has been no expense spared with that venue, can't wait for the social 😁
Shame the carp weren't having it but thats fishing.
I once booked a luxury lodge at blackthorn, monday to thursday £800, 25 degrees every day watching the whole stock of the lake sunbathe on the surface, guess what, no zigs allowed and no surface fishing 😂
When chosing a venue now i always check the rules, avoid those lakes for the winter or not at all.
Hopefully for the social it'll be overcast and low pressure 🙏
Keep up the fantastic work 👍
Live in Faversham, great beers also shepherd neame which is the oldest in the UK, Spitfire is my favourite. Thanks for sharing your video and trip. Mike
Spot on cheers Mike
Gutted for you both, looks a cracking venue tho and that film choice was spot on 👌. Heads up and on to the next one 💪
Was a wicked film tbf mate 😅 gutting not catching anything but that’s fishing for ya… onto the next one mate 😊
Going here in August been fishing over 30 years but this will be my very first proper carp only venue tbh I'm expecting to blank 😂 but I can't wait
It’s a quality venue mate. So well kept and tidy but the fishing can be tricky. If you hit right you’ll be sound 🙌
@FreshFishing my dad brother and 2 friends fished it last week but the smaller lake 3 blanked and 1 caught 2 25s and a 21, just falling lucky an landing on the fish really isn't it. Its a warm up for France next year
Great video guys westmoor great place only 20 minutes from me not easy to fish and they have put so much work in to it all think the weather didn't help you out looked hot ❤🎣
Cheers Gary mate, we’re defo gonna be back for another go at some point 😅 we’ve got the social there in September anyways. Yeah it was hot and the carp seemed to be cruising a lot
Gutted u didnt catch lads but on plus side u got to spend some quality time with ur dad keep up the great work lads chris from Northern Ireland 🎣🎣
Yeah very true mate. Catching would have just been the cherry on top.
Another good vid Aaron sometimes we all blank thats fishing unfortunately, its about being on the bank that counts just surrounded by nature that makes it for me .
Nice one John mate 😊
Funny watching this and being able to name all the swims hahaha
You fish here often mate?
@@FreshFishing ye love the place tbh booked cabin Aug Bank hol .tbh must have been weather cos spots you had your rigs were defo right m8
@andypygott3584 that’s good to know mate, clearly just those days we caught it on it wasn’t fishing great…
Take it the social is full m8
@andypygott3584 yeah it’s sold out pal
Great video. If I was you I wouldn’t use a d rig with a pop up I would stick to a wafter or a bollie other than that the d rig looks good . Keep the good work up
Nice one 👌
Great video as always. Can you give me some advise on buying a drone. Nothing mega expensive but good enough to video the lake and above etc> Cheers Foxxxy
Try get something that is DJi mate even if you go second hand. DJI magic mini 2 would be great
Unlucky lads you did your best , looks awesome facilities but shame the carp didn’t make an appearance
Sometimes they just don’t play haha
Unlucky lads looks an amazing place
Cheers mate that’s fishing
Enjoy watching your videos
Maybe trying less line's in the water for the first night might of helped
Yeah not a bad shout tbf
Try Cornish rattler next bots bro bang bang
Unlucky on the blank. But, a bad days fishing is always better than a good days work!! Have a look at your laptop to see if it has a HDMI port which it very likely has. Next time you go there get a cable and you can plug your laptop into the TV and watch football on the big screen.
Ahh that’s a great shout regards the hdmi mate. Defo gonna return to Chloe’s cabin because I need revenge haha
How are you all Nice facilities on there makes we wanna go fishing Oh yer I am France 🇫🇷 on wed 9 days 😃
The whitstable pale ale is made just up road from me in faversham kent and agree with your marking it a good 9
Least your vids are honest see yer soon
Brian
Hello Brian mate, we’re good thanks. We head to France ourselves Friday 7th July. Can’t wait. Hope you’re well pal 👌
We’re you heading
@brianconnolly8739 Molyneux with angling lines mate
I’m going lepinet south which is also angling lines. I go past molyneux on way your 3 hrs from Calais other side Rouen
I booked extra couple days so going wed. I noticed you mentioned me last year on your tips for France video my tip would be take time on day one Large spread bait over an area and 2 rods on spot keepin topped up Your use a bit more bait anitially but allows smaller fish to dominate first as the larger seem to hold back then come in. And try be patient and confident with the area and bait and leave rods for 24hrs. Till 3 pm. It’s a hard strategy to keep to as tempting to redo rods if slow. But trust in it use the 3 Rd rod to find the fish on shows
Might see you on the return ferrie 😂
What did you think of cabin fished in there a couple of times always spot on
Really enjoyed it mate, would defo return.
Hi I'm going to the cabin in October I'm just wondering if the cabin has electric
It does mate 👍
Great video mate, how much is to stay in the cabin?
Can’t even remember mate as we got a deal when it first opened. Check their Facebook they’ll have prices on there 😊
Unlucky lads it's a shame zigs weren't allowed, I'm sure they'd of done the business. Still a great vid though 👍
Zigs would have killed it mate, real shame as it was crying out for it 😂 but gotta play within the rules…
I don't think 6 lines in such a small area will have done you any favours there. I regularly use just the two and I'm sure it has benefited me at times.
That’s a good point tbf mate, probably should have tried taking a few out 😨
Unlucky lads. But gotta see that a d rig isnt the rig for a pop up, you can tell that by the way the hook sits-it sits awful and could be picked up and spat so easily. Stick to a ronnie/stiff hinge/withy pool.
Quite a small double so maybe two rods each would of been better.
Gotta be one of the best well kept day tickets in north lincs though
I have seen them used in other vids with a small 12mm pop up so the hook just about sits up mate but maybe you’re right in terms of the hooking properties when it’s sat like that. It defo has been more effective when using a wafter.
Defo a really well kept day ticket.
How much does it cost, for the cabin
Prices change depending on season mate so message them and enquire 👍
As soon as that drone went above the lake the chance of getting a bite were drastically reduced…
As in you think the carp can spot a drone?
