    It can be awesome tool for athletes. Especially triathletes. However can’t see any reason to replace my everyday smart watch with Wahoo Rival. This watch has very limited functionality as everyday watch. But as I said for triathletes, probably good choice! Good work Wahoo... waiting for more!

    No navigation or maps :(

    Do you know if I could record walking (with elevation, etc.) by Rival? It looks nice for riding / running, but sometimes I like just go for a walk or trekking and it could be great to also use Wahoo for it.

    cmon guys, add some navigation(+komoot) and make music possible so i can leave my smartphone at home.
    is there a possibility to use the watch during a triathlon and also my elemnt for the bike leg?

    Very mixed reviews, at the price they are charging this should be top of the range packed with features and bulletproof and it's far from that. Better watches out there for half of the price. I love Wahoo products but I'll hold off on this one.

    Would wahoo like to explain how do they expect anyone to train safely with such a erratic heart rate sensor?

    • @RedWingsninetyone
      @RedWingsninetyone 4 роки тому +1

      Wrist based heart rate sensors are notoriously unreliable to begin with

    I’m not a triathlete and I don’t know what this watch does, and I have an ELEMNT BOLT. And yet I still want one. What is wrong with me?

    That's it, I'm selling my kidney to buy one.

    Looks great. Throw in recovery and sleep tracking and I'll be sold.

      both stupid metrics that put out data thats unreliable.

      @@MrDamonLeBeouf at the price point they're selling it at, said metrics are pretty much standard. This watch is lacking so many features and the only selling point seems to be the name and seemless transitions for triathletes, if you are one.

      @@RedWingsninetyone as a triathlete and a someone that appreciates wahoo products, i picked one up on day one. this is one product i had to change my opinion on... completely completely unimpressed. GPS tracking was terrible, the treadmill running was WAY off, very limited connectivity to external devices, no structured workouts, its bulkier and heavier than my garmin 945... i had to send it back and get a refund. they missed the boat bad on this product and im really sad about it.

      @@MrDamonLeBeouf my understanding, or hope at least, is that it's like the Elemnt Bolt was and very weak to start but vastly improved with updates. I just wish it had an O2 sensor and maps. But, as one reviewer said, it was basically "shit or get off the pot" for Wahoo.

      @@RedWingsninetyone i do anticipate the unit to become better with time, however the only message i could send to them was to send the unit back. there was nowhere to contact and inquire about future updates / feature request, and you cant even input honest reviews on their website.

    You want a genuine review on the watch. Go watch DC Rainmakers review on this and you'll decide not to buy it. Smartly so.

    • @MrDamonLeBeouf
      @MrDamonLeBeouf 4 роки тому +1

      DC Rainmaker is very much a garmin fanboy.
      that said, this product JUST came out. its in its infancy. there will be a few caveats with it until its been in the wild for a bit.
      i never buy 1st gen anything, and this watch was an instabuy for me. i get to ditch my garmin 935 and its antiquated and bloated ecosystem and i have something that will pair perfectly with my wahoo bike computer.

      @@KC-UT4rmAZ im actually not, outside of thinking they have a much better ecosystem than what garmin has. garmin's setup process for most things is cumbersome and antiquated. they dont innovate anymore at all. if they came out with a new watch that was better (for me) than what the wahoo watch will be then ill happily wave the garmin flag.

      Let's just see how many people bonking out if they religiously follow the heart rate readings from this watch... hopefully wahoo dont cause any death!!!
