Dany (Guitar) is the lead singer, but they trade off. Pau (drums) sings lead on a good handful and nearly always sings backup on every song. Ale is mostly backup but will sing lead in a live setting if Dany needs to rest her voice. I guess that's the short answer.
They have been performing as a band for over ten years. So it's likely hard for them to recall a time when they were not a professional Rock band. This song is the introduction to their second album, titled Queen of the Murder Scene. Ale wrote the bassline for this all by herself, I've heard. Usually the band collaborates on the song's composition, including adding parts to one another's instrumentation. As all of them are classically trained pianists and have attended the summer session at Berklee College of Music where they learned song composition as well as music theory and other aspects of performing, they fully understand what needs to be included to make a song work better. While composing the album from which Dust to Dust comes, they were all teenagers. And Queen of the Murder Scene is an concept album that tells a story of a girl who loves a guy who doesn't know she exists. The story follows her desperate actions through her losing control and eventually driving herself mad. It' was an ambitious task to say the least, especially considering their ages.
There are recorded live performances where Pau not only breaks drum sticks, but actually has to have drum heads replaced part way through a concert. What's truly remarkable is that, when she does break through a drum head in a performance, she can continue around it using the rest of the kit to get the song finished. It's called being a professional.
They put the POWER back into the phrase power trio. They generate a huge sound for only 3 instruments. What I think really sets them apart though is the songwriting and the beautiful, cohesive ensemble singing. I just can’t get enough of the Villarreal sisters.
This song is the first song on their second album, "Queen of The Murder Scene", which is a concept album best listened to in original song order. The entire album was premiered live at their Lunerio CDMX show. This show has an associated display screen behind the band which has graphics related to the songs. "Dust to Dust" is the prologue followed by four chapters of three songs each.
Just subscribed to follow your journey. Dany's the lead singer. Pau has a lead singer voice but doesn't lead as much because her energy is required for drumming through a 2-hour concert. Ale sings backup mostly but takes the lead sometimes when Dany's voice is hurting. They have good OMV's, but you just can't beat the energy of the live shows, especially Teatro Metropolitan, which was pro shot and has excellent sound. Watch them all and we'll be right there with you. There is one OMV from the past which is a must watch - XXI Century Blood, the title track from their first album. They're much younger but the song is great and the message is great.
Use DPA for their names to help memorize. D for Dany (Daniela - guitar, primary lead vocalist), P for Pau (Paulina - drummer and secondary lead/backing vocalist) and A for Ale (Alejandra - bassist, backing vocals and occasional lead) and you’ll see that a lot in comments when referring to the sisters. There’s a couple reasons why Dany is the lead vocalist. The first being it would be extremely taxing for Pau to be primary lead and drummer throughout a show. The second is Dany has a broader vocal range and is a more developed singer than Pau. If recent live performances are any indication, Dany has leveled up again as a vocalist and left us all eagerly anticipating hearing what she is capable of on their new album. There’s also speculation that Ale may be more active in the vocal mix going forwards if their 2 new recent unreleased yet performed songs are an indication. There is also an extended bass intro out there for Dust to Dust that is quite remarkable and should be on TW channel.
The whole Teatro Metropolitan concert was great. Their official music videos are very well produced and worth watching also. Whatever you choose to do, TWA will be along for the ride. 😎👍
From their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, released in 2018 when they were 18 (Dany, Gt&Vo), 16 (Pau, Dr) and 13 (Ale, Bs). You read that right - the gnarly bass line was written by a 13yo girl, and she's only 17 in this live video. Ale, pronounced like Ah-leh or Ah-lay.
One song I would recommend reacting to the official MV is their song 21st Century Blood . It is from their first album. At the time the album was recorded Ale ( bass ) was only in the 4th grade. The MV was shot a year later i believe. It won several awards at the time and really shows how advanced their songwriting skills were at a young age.
@@RussInCanada Their first album is absolutely not "before they were good." It could be argued that their first EP was, but they were definately already pretty strong during XXICB, and they still sing a couple songs from that album during concerts. Also the album coming out next month (their 4th) is literally the first album they've made where all three of them are over 18.
Please run the tables on the live tracks but also keep in mind that their music videos are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Try MVs for Martirio, Enter Sandman, Disciple, XXI Century Blood. They also have a great cover of Foo Fighters Pretender when they were pretty young. Also , Pau (the drummer) does an incredible solo cover of Radiohead’s Creep. Pace yourself though, their catalog of material is quite extensive at this point. ✌️❤️🔥
The base player wrote the baseline that starts this song 7 years ago, she turns 19 next month , pretty amazing song it is the first song on the concept album Qyeen of he Murdder Scene. Most of their songs are best seen live with one exception, the music Video for XXI Century Blood is like a movie and it illustrates the song to perfection. The music video gives us the first taste of a recurring theme they have about modern technology and it's effects on humanity.
Hell yeah! Thats what i call a great reaction! Pure enjoyment from beginning to end. I suggest you try Z soon. Ironically they used the last letter of the alphabet to open this concert 😂 If you want to see how they hype the crowd, thats your baby. Keep doing your thing. ✌️💖🎼
As others have mentioned, this is the opening chapter from their concept album, Queen Of The Murder Scene. As I understand it, this is set at the Queens funeral, and narrated by her ghost, who warns of following her path to destruction. High school kids wrote this.
Dany is the lead singer, but they have joked with us (the fans) that Pau is the "designated screamer." :) Pau sings lead on perhaps 10-15% of their songs.
At this point, several have already answered your questions and even told the story behind "D2D"... I just want to recommend that you react to the song "Queen Of The Murder Scene" homonymous from the concept album (masterful art created by them 3) that others have already mentioned to you. Of course its best version is in this same performance "Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX". In my opinion it is TW's hardest song.... and I love it!! Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
queen of the murder scene is a concept album, their 2nd album, about a girl who is in love with a guy that doesnt know she exists, it leads to kidnapping, torture and eventually murder. every song is a banger. mostly written by a 13 year old Pau. there is a live show where they play all their QOTMS songs. from November 2018 LIVE at Lunario CDMX. Ale is 14, Pau 16 and Dany is 18. and they are way beyond their ages, not just some kid band, face melting songs, beautiful ballads, hope you find this gem
I love the entire August 2022 Teatro Metropolitan live concert! If I'm stepping out of that concert, some other video highlights for me include: their first official theatrical video (when they were still very young) for 'XXI Century Blood' (a song they sadly didn't include in the above live show) and their MTV VMA live versions of 'Evolve' and 'More' from this year.
I've been enjoying your reaction to the Warning thank you. If i may request, they just recently preformed 2 songs at the MTV VMAs 2023 (Evolve and More) that i think you'll enjoy.
Every member of this band are crazy talented, but somehow a singing drummer still feels special. Pau is a force behind the drum, as a vocalist and as a song writer! You can't go wrong with live The Warning, but don't discount their videos, they are all top notch!
Pau hit hard her drums because evn at 6 when she started playing she had a adult scale drum kit so she had to hit hard (and she said in a interview she like hit hard on her drums ) Dany 23 guitar lead vocal piano Pau 21 drums lead vocal (about 10 songs) backing vocal Piano Ale 18 Bass backing vocals Piano. She sings lead very very rarely, just when Dany has a cold or doesn't feel well but she doesn't like it
Now that you have experienced some of the newer performances, you might want to go into the back catalog. I would suggest their TEDX talk from 2017 which includes 3 songs from their first full album.
If you do react to the TEDx listen to the spoken parts between songs whether you react to it or not. It will give you an idea of how well spoken they were even then and in their second language.
I would suggest all the songs from this concert. Then you may want to do the Lunario concert in order as it is the full album of Queen of the Murder Scene and tells a story. Great reaction and keep it up. Thanks.
Dust to Dust is the intro song on DPA/TW's "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album (aka QOTMS)... it is inviting you in to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman, the Queen, apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul... the Spanish speaking part is their manager, Rudy, playing the part of a preacher at a funeral... translated, this is what he says... Brother! Salvation is something that is earned! Let go of your hand of resentment and Wake up to a new light within you Although your brothers try Plunge into the darkness QOTMS is one of those albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see it as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
It’s funny because I swear your laughs are that of disbelief over the awesomenesss…because they happen at the same time mine do. The vocal harmonies are unreal with these 3. Pau’s ability to drum and sing is insanity…especially when she throws in her facial expressions. And when the song lends itself to one person more than the rest, the other 2 sisters allow that one to shine. I really enjoy your The Warning reactions.
Haha. I would say a mixture of both. Over the last couple of reactions, it's been just the hell yeah face with the are you F-ing kidding me face. Of course, in the best way possible. They're so damn talented! I appreciate you watching!
To talk about The Warning, there is Dany (Dan-nee) guitar, Pau (Pow! like the sounds she makes) drums, and Ale (Ah-lay) bass. All sing. All play piano. When there is piano in concert it is usually Ale, but sometimes Pau.
Pow. Drummer. Easiest way to remember her name 😊… the way she hits the drums coincidentally matches her short name pronunciation. Literally made to be a drummer
Welcome to TWA🤘As usual everyone recommends the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX which is worth it as there are no bad songs!! I find if you watch some of their earlier live shows really shows how talented these ladies really are and from young ages. Two great sources of earlier songs are The Dakota Bar and Whiskey A Go Go. Both are available on their channel. Dany is considered the lead vocalist. Enjoy the ride 🤘🔥🔥
Usually the live, but IMO you really gotta check out the official Enter Sandman video Band Maid & The Warning are leading a rock revolution going on in the world. Now if only mainstream Murica would wake up and listen! 🤞
Since you commented straight away on Ale's bass intro, you must checkout the LUNARIO CDMX concert where they feature the QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE concept album; there you can see that ALE starts the concert with an intro to the intro! Really cool!! And you can see their manager and actually doing that speaking part, also cool! 👊⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘
Yeah definitely do all the live songs. But thats only about half of their catalog so do the rest as well! They are incapable of releasing a bad song. 21st century blood music video, and copper bullets.
Re: Your comment "That Bass!".....yup, That Bass! Alejandra is the foundation of their sound and she sometimes flies beneath the radar, even though she is a very accomplished musician. One of the concerts that doesn't get a lot of recommendation is the 2018 Lunario concert where they present their second album live for the first time. There is a bit of an extended bass intro for Dust To Dust I think you'll like. They played all of the songs from 'Queen Of The Murder Scene' and a few older numbers. For this presentation a 13 year old(!!) Ale plays a 4 string Spector and I really like how her sound was mixed for these cuts. There are many times when it is quite forward and sounds really great. And - Daniela plays at least one very soulful solo with her Manson guitar (I miss that axe....) that shows her Gilmour influence. This is a great watch, especially as part of their evolution to where they are now. ua-cam.com/video/9VciU3gMMUY/v-deo.html
Dany guitar is the lead singer on majority of the songs. Pau on drums sings lead on 10% of songs or so they share the lead often and Ale can sing lead but prefers not to. If you must do a MV do it then play the live after so you can see why TWA are so partial to live versions. Evolve and Choke are a perfect example for this. Thanks for reacting to TW glad your finding out what we already know these sisters are crazy talented. They are also the most genuine humble and kind people you'll ever know of. 🤘⚡🔥
What you called layering we call it harmonizing The Lady's our on another level for sure. During corvid they work hard on practicing on there Harmonizing. They also did a cover of the Foofighters The Pretender witch is amazing at a much younger age
Ok bro... Yes, the live songs are going to get the most votes... That is because they currently are the latest... Over the last album, we got the "Video Song" directly from the album, then the "Live Video Song" just in case you guys can not play the "VS", then at the end of the year after most all of the concerts, we get the "Final Concert Song", this is the culmination of a, b, and all the concerts performed... Please take this all in its time... Play the songs as you wish... Id suggest the "Video Song" and then whatever you like. Also there are lyrics for every video out there, so if you dont know what was said, look it up... Loved all of your reviews of the Ladies so far !! Please keep them coming !!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
I love that you mentioned the guitar tone and the way she is strumming the chords. It's one of my favorites too but I haven't seen any reactor talk about it. Dany is a magician on the guitar and yes she is 100% the lead singer of the band. Pau sings lead on 10-15% of the songs. Ale does mainly backing vocals.
Yes, we want live performances. They have live performances going back 10 years so just a heads up. There's a lot. Further back if you include piano recitals.
Welcome to the rabbit hole! These three young LADIES are going to take you on a musical adventure, where every song will be your favorite song. Dany,Pau, and Ale are bringing back real classic rock .
There are 22 Blu-ray quality videos from their legendary 2022 Teatro Metropolitan, but they aren't organized on their channel. Here's a fan-generated playlist, in sequential order - ua-cam.com/play/PLVJLlyTsgzsagBKPKlKNKt6W62rMbyjsQ.html
Daniela guitar (23 years old and lead vocals), Paulina drums (21 years old and lead vocals) and Alejandra bass (18 years old and backing vocals). You have been warned...
Most of TW songs are collaboration are all 3 sisters song. But , this one is mostly Ale's song. They switch between themselves who is bette suited to do the vocal part.
Imagine if God (or whoever) picked three young girls ages seven through twelve and said "you three are entrusted with the future of hard rock. No go and make it happen." Would you ever expect they would turn out to be this kick ass?
I'm beginning to get a little concerned about your heart 🤣 - between The Warning and the Japanese stuff you should perhaps consider taking a slightly different direction ( briefly ) . I'd suggest trying AYREON for starters . Not really a band more a musical co-operative organised by a musical genius from Holland called Arjen Lucassen who has brought together over the years some of the best musicians and vocalists in the World to perform his brilliant compositions . If you do , hopefully , decide to give it a chance I'd recommend starting with the music video of " The Day That The World Breaks Down " and them perhaps the live version of " Everybody Dies " which will give you a great taster of what Ayreon is about . The talent on show will hopefully blow your mind !
"Dust to Dust" is the opening song of their concept album "Queen of the Murder Scene" (QotMS). This song is the prologue, and then the story has 4 chapters with 3 songs each (13 songs total). If you'd like to react to more/all of the songs in the album, you could use The Warning's youtube playlist of the album's presentation-concert called "Live at Lunario CDMX 2018", link here → ua-cam.com/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/v-deo.html (Note: This concert includes 5 songs - placed between the chapters - from their previous album "XXI Century Blood", which you could skip, or you could include to let them provide an occasional diversion from the somewhat heavy QotMS storyline.) ... Or you can simply watch the whole concert as a single video (with a bit of behind-the-scenes footage) here → ua-cam.com/video/9VciU3gMMUY/v-deo.html
Yup, you gotta run down the list of the teatro cdmx performance. Also, since you're enjoying Pau banging on the drums so much, believe it or not, I feel like she's toned it down a bit. Check out their Ted Talk from 6 years ago (ua-cam.com/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/v-deo.html), Pau is 14 in that show and goes full Animal from the Muppets on the drums for the 3 songs. She even breaks a stick during one of the songs and recovers like it's no big deal.

React to Queen Of The Murder Scene. 4 chapter concept album, so, 4 reactions. The album tells a story. Watching it out of order is not helpful. You have already reacted to some of the album so think hard before you do more of QOTMS. And "that bass""......Ale was 17yrs old when this was recorded. She is a perfectionist.

They put the POWER back into the phrase power trio. They generate a huge sound for only 3 instruments. What I think really sets them apart though is the songwriting and the beautiful, cohesive ensemble singing. I just can’t get enough of the Villarreal sisters.

Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole! The entire Teatro Metropolitan concert is a masterpiece, there's not a weak point in the entire show.
🙋⚡⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥
I request you do their X Anniversary one they just did. It will give you a sense of who they are and what they are about. The Warning X Anniversary
Usually the live, but IMO you really gotta check out the official Enter Sandman video
Band Maid & The Warning are leading a rock revolution going on in the world.
Now if only mainstream Murica would wake up and listen! 🤞
Ale the bass player is only 17 at this show, and already had own signature Bass.
Ale drives this song with that powerful bass line. Yes, I’m her biggest fan but that doesn’t stop it being true.
It turns out that dust to dust is her Ale's hit.
Hell yeah do them all because there all amazing from the TWA🤘
They are amazing live. Seen the four times in concert and they just get better each time. 🤘🏼
Again, you have been warned!
🤘⚠️great reaction ⚠️🤘
I enjoyed 🤘
Evolve live MTV awards by The Warning please!
👊⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘
What Great Voices! These Girls are the Greatest Power Trio of all time! C
Yeah definitely do all the live songs. But thats only about half of their catalog so do the rest as well! They are incapable of releasing a bad song. 21st century blood music video, and copper bullets.
Que Superbanda!!! wow!! the best band on the 21st century, There's hope in this world.
I ♥ The Warning 🎶🎶
That bass. That custom bass is worth about ten thousand dollars.
The Warning got to create a new style of music: Melodic Power Rock 😍😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Even with all of the music they have released since this song, this is probably my favorite song by them.
And no auto tune ,,thank you 😊
The MV for XXI Century Blood is a must.
🤘
ALL OF THEM!!!
gr8 reaction ... dany is the lead singer ... pau/drummer takes lead on some of their songs ... r0ck 0n ... \m/
Nice review. Cleverer words escape me, this late at night.
You have been warned...
that's just from 1 concert, the 22 or so 😋
Great reaction TW is a Huracán and Twister F5 😎🤘
That is Ale's custom signature spector bass called "Ale's inferno". Will set u back 8k if you want one.
💯TWA!🤘
QOTMS. Best concept album ever!
Unfortunately, it will still be a few years before people realize that.🤷♂
yes
🤘🤘
Pau sings and drums during the song 23 also, and it's amazing.
Haha. Me too! My heart is still working, so I gotta keep at it! 🤣
Excellent choice of music but not sure it would be heart healthy... LOL
@@lonelywind3511 🤣
No what really sucks? I am listening to this on my tablet and the speaker cannot process the bass sounds. As for the song! It rocks.
The music vids are great but live....
They don’t have a bad song
Yup, you gotta run down the list of the teatro cdmx performance. Also, since you're enjoying Pau banging on the drums so much, believe it or not, I feel like she's toned it down a bit. Check out their Ted Talk from 6 years ago (ua-cam.com/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/v-deo.html), Pau is 14 in that show and goes full Animal from the Muppets on the drums for the 3 songs. She even breaks a stick during one of the songs and recovers like it's no big deal.
Run down the entire list. official videos and lives!
DAZZLING DANY IS THE MAIN LIONESS WHEN IT PRETEND S TO THE LEAD VOCALIST ON THIS BAND 🤔 WITHOUT HER VIBRANT PERSONALITY I SAY 🫣 I DON'T SPEAK FOR THE REST OF ⚡ THE ARMY ⚡ ME AND 🤔 WOULDN'T BE ⚡ WARNING ⚡ FANS BECAUSE DAZZLING DANY IS THE BEST FRONT WOMAN A FAN OF A BAND CAN ASK FOR 🤘😝 TELL ME I'M WRONG BUT PAU IS MY FAVORITE DRUMMER 🥁 AND ALE IN THE MIDDLE IS A SILENT ASSASSIN ⚡ THE WARNING ⚡ AKA VILLARREAL SISTER ARE OUR 3THREE BLACK STALLION
DANY lead guitar and PAU are the two main lead singers. Greatness! ❤❤❤THE WARNING❤❤❤PAU💚🤍❤
