I just bought one for Christmas and when I first hit that 'demo' button, I was *FLOORED!* Anyway, I think your recording is messed up. Your playing sounds fine, but the audio in this video is messing up. If it's not the video and is the keyboard and you don't hear this - you should probably get this fixed, lol!

Regarding the sound, I have noticed that when watching on a phone, it distorts the audio. Try using a decent speaker or headphones and you’ll find the sound of the video is perfect!
@@ConsciousKeys Seriously, I am watching on my laptop, through my Yamaha amp and Bose 301 speakers. It just sounded a li'l 'off' and 'weird!' Not to offend you, but I'm surprised no one else can hear it?
*EDIT* Now that's really strange!!! I just replayed the video and that 'weirdness' about it was gone! I wonder if it had anything to do with my internet connection at the time I watched it previously? Anyway, yeah...sounds great! I can't wait to play this well (as you!). Thanks

Congratulations !!!! Someone actually gives a demonstration on the net which actually lets us HEAR THE PIANO and decide for ourselves whether we like it or not . It amazes me to think so many people think we only want to hear them talk !!

You are hearing a recorded piano, audio compressed, and data compressed on UA-cam, played by someone else. I've been playing piano 55 years and cannot tell if this piano will suit my needs from a UA-cam demo. The reaction from human to mechanical key mechanisms to the software interpretation of dynamics is also totally unknown. I have played many digital pianos that are simply unplayable from this alone. Expression from dynamics, sustain pedal, half pedaling, and 100s more questions. I just bought this piano this month, it is fantastic, the price has nothing to do with its quality, at any price this piano is incredible. The sound, action, reaction, pedaling, soft pedal/soft felts and the ability to make this piano sound like anything I want through extensive editing (far beyond the simple piano room) makes it a winner. Others may prefer a different action, but all pianos are different, and I now have 3 piano different actions so I can adapt to the stage piano of-the-day I perform on easier.
To me, nobody can beat Yamaha's touch and feel of the keys.. which is so important to me.. and the sounds are UNREAL

This piano has to be the perfect balance of everything. I have looked at digital pianos for over a year and it does not get better than this conclusion. Also the "Pop Grand" demo is exactly the kind of genre I plan on working with so thank you for sealing the deal.

They just make shit DP. sound is pretty good, but I am waiting for the day GRANDUER gets built into The Kontrol S88 at an affordable price. Which will probably never happen but if it does It will kill the competition.

Ok this thing is dope! I've been saving for Casio PX-S3000, but now I've decided I'll wait for this instead. Much more versatile as an arranger and has better "other" sounds to my ears.

I own some very nice keys already, montage 7 and fantom x8. This is very nice, sort of piano that would suit me in the dining room for when I don't feel like walking down to my studio :). Nice demo.

Unfortunately the key action is the same 'outdated' GHS :( But I personally still consider this instrument for the rest of its features and values.
@@antondean key action is great on this keyboard,I bought it and I’ve owned lots of top notch digital keyboards,Nord,Yamaha,kawai,etc.
Same action as P125 ....witch I have ,not bad at all,but not the best .It will do the jobb ,if you don't have anything Else to compare it with.... GHS is soft and good for quick playing,but also for slow playing.Medium quality keybed,but verry responsive

Ok, this sets the bar really high for lower midprice models... I wonder what new models Roland Korg etc will react with because they will have to move fast before this saturates this market tranche. Not a fan of Yamaha and not a hater either, this is just really well done considering the price.

This is basically a re-packaged Tyros 3, which is a good thing. I have a T3 and it's still one of the best arranger keyboards around even now, in 2021. I must admit, it looks cooler than the Tyros though! 😄🎹

I have a Dax 650 and didn’t like the clunky sound of the keys.after that I wanted a more home piano and got the Roland 704,but I have been playing my dgx lately and the piano sound from it is amazing!much better than the Roland I have to say.
Is it in fact a good digital piano with most features and all sounds of the PSR SX 700?

Beautiful thanks. Are you using FUll keyboard acompaniment? Later in the video 11:08 it is one finger touch. I prefer to make the accords as a mixture of right and left hand.
I use a mixture of all the accompaniment types. I feel some styles work better with Full AI, some work better with one finger and some work amazing with the new SmartChord Feature

Seems like high quality samples. Which is why everyone raves about this model. However, I hope they fix the shortcomings with the next version. Maybe a bit more realistic feeling keyboard with triple sensor with matte finish keys and a proper line out.

I have 2 Yamaha hs7 monitors and a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer
Its same like all other sx it just has a different design and les sounds functions and internal storage
Is the pedal unit form the DGX-650 compatible with this one (like it is with the 660?) I'm excited for the bluetooth and 256 polyphony count!!!
I have the DGX-650 and also have the Privia 860 (that has 256 polyphony) and I play that one more because it sounds much better... but now..... I dunno.. can't wait to compare
Thanks for watching and commenting. The DGX670 benefits from a new stand and pedal design so no, the 650/660 pedal unit will not be compatible.
I use the auto style, but when l press the chords its not mute, thr sound is still on which sounds awkward. Usually, on the other keyboards when the ACMP is on, the left hand chord will be muted and only use for changing the chords. How do l turn the keyboard sound off when l use the auto style. Thank you!

Such an amazing sounding instrument. I don't really have the extra cash to burn but it's hate to scrimp a few hundred dollars and wind up with something so inferior to this :)

The new 'Smart Chord' function on the Left Hand is incredible! You can play with one finger and it plays complicated jazz chords based on what you're playing.

They said it might be late Feb, but probably more like late March. Hope its not delayed too long due to global chip shortages.... How Do You Record The Audio Of This Video? By using any audio interface or directly plugin through aux??
The DGX670 actually has an audio interface built into the USB port. The piano is then selectable as an Audio I/O Device in your DAW (Logic Pro in our case), just hit record and enjoy!
@@ConsciousKeys Ah, super! So the keyboard actually sends audio via USB (if you wish) rather than USB MIDI signals! Nice!
@@OnlineMD It does both. As long as you have the audio driver for the keyboard (on yamaha's site), then you can send as audio. It's a great feature because otherwise the only way would be to use the 1/4" single output jack with a splitter to an audio interface.

Does anybody know a good alternative to the Yamaha DGX series? Because from what I can tell the DGX series has over 600 different instruments and other portable digital pianos don't offer anywhere near the level of voices? The only thing I can imagine comes close is the Casio PX560 which is no discontinued.
I'm looking for something like the Yamaha DGX 660/670 but perhaps with better speakers and a better keyboard in terms of the touch.
