Interested in comparing BB to Moink but in all honesty I can't afford any of these boutique subscription services.

I remember I had those small Omaha steaks when I stayed at my aunt's house as a teenager and I also remember them being very tasty. I am about to receive my second butcher box. I mostly order different cuts of beef but I also have 2 types of bacon and beef bone broth coming this time. I looked on Omaha steak website and I'm not seeing anywhere a description saying it's grass fed/ finished. I'd be willing to try Omaha but the grass fed/finished is important to me.

I noticed the same thing! I looked it up, but it was only on Google that I found where it said grass fed/grass finished

I didn't like their stakes or burgers. It tasted manufactured to me...and it was very dry.

This makes me very glad that I don't care about meat. Just soooo expensive. Even if I did I could not afford it.

Really hate the Styrofoam packaging. Where I live you have to find somewhere that will take it. You cannot recycle it nor can you put in in your garbage. FYI - I subscribe to ButcherBox and I get ground beef patties in my subscription box, not as an add on but as one of the selections. They've been offering it for over a year. 2 lbs - 6 patties 1/3 lb. each. I think you're basically comparing apples to oranges here. I couldn't find anything on Omaha's website about where or how the beef, pork, chicken, etc. are raised or treated or what they're fed. If you paying high-end prices, you should be getting verifiable high quality. IMHO

Omaha Steaks = over rated, over priced and over advertised……their quality has gotten bad, sizes have gotten smaller and their prices jumped off the charts…..no more from me, it’s a shame too…..five years ago they were not as bad.

Received a large box of Omaha Steak products and the two steak types were supposed to be sirloins and bacon wrapped filets. Sorry, garbage..... Even diarrhea beef from Wal-Mart which is my family's give you the runs joke has been proclaimed by everyone as more desirable. Reminded me of cafeteria kid food from a bad school.

Stop supporting giant farms. Go to your local butcher.

A meat eater usually does NOT want think about or became aware of what meatpacking does to animals, all the pain that their desire for meat cause on animals that are abused and tortured by the food industry everyday. Any time you eat meat you are helping an industry that abuses and tortures animals. Sadly, only those that care want to inform themselves about all the cruelty that meatpacking cause on farm animals.

All people should prefer to support companies who practice good ethics towards their animals, regardless of their own personal eating habits. -- And you might be surprised to learn that some meat eaters care so much about the well being of the animals that they decide to skip factory farming altogether in favor of raising their own meat (and /or eggs).

A comedian on a podcast once said;"I like to taste the fear in my steak!"
Oddly enough though, not only is this statement in poor taste,..there's been research that has found that scared and stressed animals don't taste as good domesticated livestock that die almost instantaneously through proper techniques.
But seriously...You do realize that they don't just hack chunks of meat off of living breathing animals right?
      Of course you do.
And just because an animal has to die to be liberated it of it's edible parts and pieces of consumption for the many other uses doesn't mean doing so is what killed it right?
      Of course you know that.
This is not poaching(of which I am greatly angered and appalled by on any level!!!!) where the animal's parts may actually be removed from a living subject and it left to suffer a horrible death.
The industry is supposed to provide a humane upbringing and means of dispatching/slaughtering the livestock they produce and provide from,..... and though that serves no guarantee that the rules and protocols of doing so are always going to be perfect and painless,I can assure you with great certainty it is much more favorable than being hunted and taken to the ground by a single or even a group of predatory animals in the wild that is not in a 'controlled environment',..... in which the deed is not carried out very swiftly or painlessly at all,not to mention the fear and stress experienced during an attempt by a weakened or inexperienced predator that might be drawn out for hours if the kill is not even successfully made!!!😬
It happens all the time, non stop, day and night in the wild. Have you ever thought of that?
      Maybe,...maybe not.
Have you ever watched footage of a prey animal being incapacitated by a predator?
Does it ever look even 'remotely humane' even when the predator *is* efficient at it's task?
And even so,is that predator always 100% successful in taking the life of it's prey? Probably not.
We humans have become very proficient in not only making better decisions and choices of how to make this process as painless as possible, but we want it to be that more now than ever.
(And not just to avoid being in poor taste.) 💁‍♂️
