You need to go on tour, I want myself and my two boys learning downhill, but without the instant feedback it would just be ton difficult to double down on our mistakes. We’ve watched all your videos and try to incorporate as much as possible. Keep up the good work !

Thanks for the kind words. You are welcome to sign up with your two boys and video them playing or doing some of the drills at Train 2.0. Myself or the other coaches can take a look at their video and provide recommendations 👍

Hi , Jason 👋🏻 (can i asked you some questions) ⁉️
Firstly,if a player weighs heavily (will it be harder for him to skate and slide quickly than for a lighter player?) Because all professional players in the NHL weigh heavily (from 90+ kg)
Secondly,to glide quickly you don’t need to spend a lot of effort (press hard on the ice and use power skating??)
Thirdly, what is more important (power by spending more energy or speed through quick footwork??)
    Thanks for the video ☺️❤

      1. Correct, simple physics.
      2. Not correct, use downhill skating.
      3. neither, using the body's natural inner spring.

How about "Barry Sanders on skates?" For your analogy? 😊

I'd say rally car, as its so much more tactical... BUT also I think most people need to understand that the ability to shift weight and pivot is why stickhandlers are stickhandlers. You can't be a dangler without quick, agile feet.

      Good call and completely agree👍

Going the "lets demonize the competition" route hey?...
There's a place for both systems. Most ppl(especially parents) will still prefer an IRL power skating lesson to an online, 1 size fits all approach you have here. Not trying to be negative, just offering the opinion of someone who's watched many of your YT vids but refuses to pay $500/year.

“Demonize” sounds more than a little hyperbolic. But I do agree that an online system that relies on people doing the work on their own with no immediate, clear feedback isn’t educationally sound.

Hey Rich, thanks for the comment and appreciate your opinion. In an effort to help as many players as I can be it with the 2.0+ Membership or the free UA-cam videos I am trying to clear up some of the less efficient/ dated methods of player development in hockey be it with power skating or old ways of shooting. Because power skating is skating reps it can still help, but it is without a doubt not the most efficient use of time or mechanics training.
To build off your 1 size fits all comment, we take into account different all the different body types when coaching our skating methods. Members send in their video in game or doing the Downhill Skating drills and we coach according to that with feedback and progressions/regressions.

@@505Hockey Feedback is pretty sound for members usually within 24- 48 hours but yes, we offer the education via the courses (hundreds of videos) and weekly calls and then players must be willing to do the drills (work/reps) themselves.

Sorry not offering codes, the amount of people signing up for the 2.0 membership has been in extremely high demand.
