I live in St Louis Missouri. Our coldest temps are 5°F (-15C)
Only folks with diesel engines bother with block heaters.
And people say cars need block heaters for -40. 😂
It'll def help, but it should still start without.

Tbh any car that is only stood overnight or even for 2 or 3 days should start just fine. I want to see a car that hasn't been started in 2+ years in the freezing cold.

it's heavily tuned, it's pretty normal for tuned cars on non-stock ECUs to start rough in cold conditions
My car sound also a bit metallic when cold unfortunately
Not the same engine, but it’s Toyota so… I change my gear super early and don’t drive harsh and let the engine warm up

А у меня Webasto))))) А мне пофиг!)))) Хоть -50.
А у меня тёплый гараж на 4 машины рядом с домом. ))
Не поможет Вебасто. Первое, это смазки в приводах, в подвеске, технические жидкости могутвыйти из строя. Второе, аккумулятор один фиг надо будет снимать и носить на зарядку (либо поездки длинные). Третье, нужны какие то решения для увеличения обогрева салона (подогревы сидушек, руля, а по хорошему ещё и ручки переключения передач). Да и в такие морозы (если не Якутия) особо куда ехать то? И далеко не всем есть нужда.

Я машину в -30 даже не трогаю!!!!!!!!! Хоть и стоит "Webasto" которое греет не только двигатель но и салон, всё-равно не запускаю!!!!!!! Жалко! На работу возят бесплатные и комфортабельные автобусы "MAN"!!!! А мой авто, скоро перейдёт в разряд коллекционных!!!!!!! У меня БМВ 525 Е39 2002 г.в. В чёрном цвете и предмаксимальная комплектация!!!!! Есть всё, кроме кож, салона и электро регулировок!!!!!! Плюс налог до 200 л.с!!!!!!!!! Хотя я думаю и в -35 она спокойно запустится, после работы "Webasto"!!!!!!!! Масло "Liqui Moly 5W40 Molygen"!!!! Отличное масло, рекомендую!!!!!!
