I remember a year or two ago I found your channel through an ad, I think it was square space. You had mentioned your UA-cam channel and I did the unthinkable lol I looked up the ad so I could figure out what your channel name was. That year I binge watched your stuff I learned so much about watercolor and made multiple paintings. You got me out of an art block and now your back and doing the same thing. You inspire me so much and I am so glad you are back and took care of yourself. I know you probably won’t see this cause I mean there’s a million people now congrats btw but I just needed to say you really inspire me and hopefully some day I can get to the same level. Indeed i have been missing this fun chill little study sessions. I have stepped away from art as well but largely due to stress and my own mental space not being the best with personal tragedies. However, i was talked into doing a daily flower challenge and it has encouraged me to do art once again.
It's good to take some time to yourself, but do not get too far into yourself that you can not find a way out.

There's a lot of content on youtube, a lot about art similar to this video but I'm not kidding when I breathed a sigh of longing when I saw that you're uploading again. OBSESSED WITH YOUR WALL OMG
This year I went on my first big Holiday in over 10 years. My partner and I drove over 700 kilometres to get to the city of Sydney. It was a lovely place to visit. I did not do nearly enough art during my holiday. But I found myself inspired by my trip. I am on my last day of my holiday, resting before returning to work.

These are gorgeous, and you have no idea how happy it made me when you said you admire character artists, I'm insecure about my art and I'm not a pro or anything but something I love doing is trying to capture a person's features in their cartoon versions in my own style and yes I can get better in terms of skill but I feel confident in terms of doing the observation and putting their features on my drawings :D
Now this exercise looks great to try and get better at not being so shy when adding the mid tones and shadows because I tend to under do it
Thank you. I just loved this. I am still a beginner and love coloring and still trying to find my preferences and this studies are just up my alley. I use stamps and open stock for coloring and prefer portraits. Best wishes in all your future endeavors your art skills are amazing.

That orange and teal combo looks really good.. It's really overused by photographers while editing 😁
Red and blue color for outlining used to be a form of focusing the right colors when scanning your pages. Comic book artists do this sometimes. When you process your images digitally with a scanner, it's much easier to tell the software to remove the red and blue and only leave the final tracing in black. ;)

Gosh! This is so good!!! I've always been a fan of monochrome and complimentary colour palettes but afraid that I'll be unable to pull off small details and subtleties of the human face, but you did it so beautifully!!

The red and blue line drawing are very popular in the tattooing culture for many years (especially the neo traditional) where you use the red for the first lines and the blue for the lines you want to keep or the ones you want tho have bolder. Tattooers use this technique to draw on skin and also on paper. Because erasing is way to time consuming. A unique aesthetic has been established from the practical technique.
