Cool, I've caught W1AW on 20M SSB a couple of times and most recently on some band on FT8. When I looked up the call sign I was like "awwwww I wanna check that out" but I'm on a lowly little island on the west coast of Canada. Sure makes my janky shack look even jankier, I mean I don't even have a picture of it on QRZ it's so underwhelming!
Thank you for this inside look at the ARRL and W1AW. It gives a great perspective of the history of the hobby , especially for us new hams
Glad you enjoyed it
On the bucket list. Thanks for the tour. Absolutely wonderful setup.
Glad you enjoyed it!
After my basic test I got my hf licence in Canada - ve1qfa , my first ever hf contact was w1aw
Great video Jason...love my Geochron

That is cool. I did a lot of my contacts for the W1AW QSO Part in 2014 on a Kenwood 990. Great radios!

Looked like there were two RFKIT RF2K-S amps in Studio One!
12 miles from my home QTH and I've never been there. Got to get out there.

If I ever am in Connecticut for whatever reason, I’ll be for sure visiting the ARRL HQ.
Such a cool place! Strange to hear KE8PZN responding to CQ instead of calling!!

Just qso whit them 3 hours ago…😃

It's impossible for that to be "modern" Ham Radio without macOS running on M2 systems! :)
There's nothing "modern" about an OS written for 16 year olds. ;)
@@HamRadio2 Don't make me come whup up on your . . . never mind.
