You’re the man. Just got the two ducts and the back vent cover for $9.50 at the junkyard. The consoles are all the same in case anyone else is wondering, you just need the back cover.
Thanks for the tutorial! I saw something similar on Toyota nation, but I didn't know if I had to replace the entire center console or that rear piece only. Appreciate it man!
I wonder if this is possible on a 2020 Camry SE. Really wanted rear vents but didn't want to pay extra for the package on a red SE at the dealership at the time or spend even more on an XSE.
Rear A/C is very important where I live. I wanted a Corolla or a Camry but neither had the rear A/C. So my next choice was going to be an Avalon because of the rear vents. Do you know if this works on all the Camry's around that year? You may have save me a big headache. I stumbled upon your video and I am glad I did so I gave you a thumbs up.
Thanks for the video. I just did it on my SE over the weekend. One weird thing I noticed is that the rear vent temp is a bit wonky. Seems like I am getting some heat mixed in depending on temp setting (front is blowing cold). Have you experienced this on yours?
It’s always going to be like that heat gets trapped in the back you have six vents pushing warm air back the two rear vents are there to help direct some air to the person
@@updateit6950 Fairly sure something is not right. Hard to describe but as you slowly turn the temp dial from cold to hot there is a point where there is a huge temp difference. But turn it back 1 click and the temp is back to being same. Not an issue when temp turned close to max cold though so been using it that way.
Jhonsinh try to find a junk yard near you that has an XLE or a hybrid and just pull them out as I said the only piece that I couldn’t find online was the Y shape
Salvador Faraci it really didn’t but I liked to have the rear vents the front air was still working fine the rear vents just allowed to have air little higher but I’m happy with

worked perfectly on my base model camry
How did you get the vents in the back replaced from the original console. In the beginning you didn’t have vents but in the end you had vents
When it’s blowing hot air should the inside of the center console be hot as well?

Yes this works for all Camry between 2007-11 but I’m pretty sure this works for all and thanks for the thumbs up
I wonder if it the same for Camry 2014 hybrid LE, mine didn’t come with rear a/c
Edward Ontiveros they all the same you just need all the parts
Will this work with manual transmission cars?

I haven’t had a problem with it just make sure the vent is open all the way and nothing near it that is causing the heat.
I also noticed that the temp in the rear is always warmer than the front, unless the ac is on full blast
