As a Northern Boy, I would suggest running your truck tires about 5 psi light, especially since you go off-road. It gives you a bit more surface grip, and won't pop the bead when the weather warms up. Also, wearing a free COVID mask helps keep your face warm.

I've often thought it would be nice if jumper cables were planned into say the battery where you just plug a connector in like a lamp in the house. Easy and "more safer" than janky clamp grippers.

Just a couple of comments. The videos are much more enjoyable when we don't have to watch the ground or the dashboard of the tractor for 85% of the time. I personally enjoy seeing the other equipment and your farm yard as we walk or ride along with You. From the little I Have Seen, you have a Nice Place. No, it's not all late model equipment, or buildings that are in like new condition. It's a farm like most of us have, well used. I enjoy you taking us along on Your Life's Journey, but I Would like to see a little less ground, grass, dashboard and tractor platform. I'm not generally a complainer, but I just felt compelled to say something. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. After all that, I DO look forward to your next adventure. Stay Safe, God Bless and Thank You.

Went through the same thing today doing chores. Even the gas tractor grunted a little on startup. Only good thing is the spring runs constantly into the water tub in the barnyard and then overflows into an underground drain. Except yesterday when the cows decided it was fun to play with the water line and direct it out of the tub and on the ground. You know, they have to play. We have 10 degrees here in New York now. Just need to get through one more day and then it is supposed to warm up next week. Videos like these show people it isn't always fun on the farm. Stay warm.

Thanks for the frozen video! I would not have the patience to film while much sadness ensues. From a John Deere 6400 tractor engine would run but hydraulics and transmission would not budge. Skidsteer would start but left side tires locked up for some reason. At least I had small bales I could feed instead of rounds.

Had trouble with the IH 1066 with a loader on, the hydraulic valve on the right side of the tractor froze and wouldn't move. Got a piece of flexible dryer vent tubing and put it over the exhaust pipe and ran it to the valve. It thawed out in a matter of minutes so just tied it to the frame to keep from freezing.

The cold makes for some great nights of sleeping as we both have to have it in the low 60s to be able to sleep.
BTW, my Schumacher battery charger with a built-in brain has a function where it zaps cell sulfation. It has kept several batteries from gracing RK's door.
