I think this is the best live version of this song. Great all around including the filming. Parents rapping was quite cool. 🙂 … Btw, props to Madooooon.
One of my favorite songs! 🎵Yo! Yo! Yo!🎶 Sounds so great live!!!
Absolutely wonderful ❤️. 😊
That song is a classic. I can say that because when they started playing, I was like...hmm where have I heard this before? You go deep into the Kaneaiyoyoka catalogue and there are some really timeless songs back there.
Embrace. Happy..Happy..Happy.
Have always liked this number. This live version was great. Thank you Shido for sharing it.
This is a romp! A celebration of fun! This brightened my day. Big goofy smile on my face. Thank you Soma clan!
Happy to hear a live version. Great vocals Soma family! This song absolutely rocks. 🎉
Woooooooo! I got off my seat and danced. Full Soma vocals; Big big big band sound. Shido was featuring his vocals with a lot of passion. Excellent work guys.
Gonna wake up James Brown with that nasty funk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shido!😊
It's so cool.
Good❤
I've gotten positively spoiled with all the Yoyoka videos in the past month! Once she goes back to school and the tap turns to a trickle I'm going to miss all the tunes! In this video it was cool to watch her having fun with the family.👏👏👏
This was a great version!
Well that Rocked!!!
Man! That was a cool jam. Well done by all you great musicians. This is a keeper. Keep singing Yoyoka, I like that voice.
Behold Greatness. Happy..Happy..Happy.
We seem to "forget" Shido. What a natural stage performer! He feels so relaxed on stage! He is going to be "big" one day! You keep going Shido!
AWESOME"""
2:19 DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!
🖖
Nice!😊
Awesome! I wonder?... is there anything Yoyo can't do?! 😊
love shido and mom. yoyoka holdin it down
As usual a stellar performance by all (BTW Closed Captioning has a translate feature, so you can "hear" the song being "sung " in English ... but it's Google Translate so expect a few mistakes in the translation )
I also would like to hear this in English but I am so used to hearing it this way I didn't want to change it but let's hear it anyway
Great job!!
What is missing here is that it is really unfortunate that this perfomance does not get any airtime. This is what Yoyoka needs is songs and performances like this to, MAYBE, get someone in the music industry to like her music.
Agree 100% with you tb......After seeing on IG who Drumeo had in there studio(nandy) yesterday.....wtf is going on in this industry where this mediocre at best drummer gets all this pub over an insanely talented/gifted Yoyoka!?!? Boggles the mind
@ScottBayliss I have said this for years that there is a sublet prejudice in the music industry towards Yoyoka. It isn't specifically Yoyoka, but the same has been done to Show-ya, the oldest all female rock group in the history of rock.
The music pundits would rather promote less talent, someone who has a very big mouth, and everything is all about her. Yet, when her lack of talent shows and the over dramatic gesticulation with her flailing arms doesn't deliver, even though she likes to be compared to Yoyoka, what is it that she always says when she gives her usual poor performance? Even though she is the same agexas Yoyoka, she alwasy says, "Well, I am still a child".
I have been following Yoyoka for seven years. I have never once heard her say anything like that.
On the other hand, I have never seen her get up on stage and forget the fills to a song or come out of the pocket.
Yet if you look at her questionsble performances, no one seems to notice or even care.
Yoyoka always delivers flawless performances, never complains, and doesn't get, as you correctly mentioned, the undeserved recognition others get.
All you have to do is look at how the music industry executives treated Alexey Poblete. Says everything you need to know.
The one you mentioned is a legend in her own mind.
@@tibetbill @scottBayliss Well said. YOYOKA had to memorize 40 songs for her Japanese tour, interact with musicians 2/3/4/5 times her age, host the shows with grace and humour, drive the band(s) and barely break a sweat! The Sapporo venue was sweltering, she said. YOYOKA is a seasoned pro well beyond her years. She does not like attention but handles it very well and humbly. Can't say any of this about NB, all show and no go! Drives me bonkers!
@@Rob-YuleUnfortunately, this is going to continue.
The only thing keeping the showboat from across the water from 'making' it is herself. She certainly has the industry behind her and the doors are open, but she cannot deliver. But the powers that be are not going to stop promoting her as they assume that one day, she will be able to deliver. Maybe, maybe not.
It was a real slap in the face for Yoyoka the way that she got treated by Dave Ghrol over the Taylor Hawkins tribute. Even if you are not involved in the music industry in any way, a blind man could have seen it.
I have been following Yoyoka for about as long as you have, so I know her history and abilities very well. I have talked to her parents a few times, but not since they came to the states.
A couple years ago, I sent an email to a record company, label executive, high up the food chain. He knew about Yoyoka, but said that she needed her own band and her own sound. Meaning, not her family band and some original songs.
You would think that with Senri Kawaguchi being the best female drummer in the world and in the hunt for best drummer in the world, that a Japanese label would have picked her up a long time ago. Hasn't happend so far. Her albums are on the Vega label, but she is not being promoted by them. EMI/Universal never put her or Yoyoka under contract.
This song, this is the best song Yoyoka has put out to date. It is as good as it gets. I am talking about the studio version of this song. It is very well engineered and produced. It is ready to hit the airwaves.
i don't know what you know about sound engineering and producing songs, but it is expensive. This is one reason the record lables have the Taylor Swifts and Beyonces, to dance around on stage like puppets while they want you to belive what great singers they are.
One one side of their mouth, they will tell you that no one buys albums anymore. Then, they turn around and tell you that Taylor Swift has the best selling albums of all artists. So, which is it? Either you are not selling albums or you are just selling her albums.
If you look at the revenue stream in the music industry, Taylor Swift could drop off the face of the earth and no one would even notice. 80% of their revenue is from their catalogues, not the Taylor Swifts of the world. Believe it or not, if you look at 100% of the record industry revenue, 40% comes from the Queen catalogue. Queen is what sells and it is the most listened to band as of now.
If it was anyone else, I would venture to say that between the recording session, the engineering of this one song, the video of it, would be in the $200k range. Okay, between the family talents and connections, it was probably free or close to being free.
Record companies are not going to speculate and put that kind of money into unknown artists, not like they once did.
But with the studio version of this song, you could put it out over the air and see what the public response is.
That being said, for the most part, the same people who own the record companies, own the radio stations as well. You can't go to the backdoor and get them to play a new
She has enough filler tracks to put an album together, but she has to start thinking that when it comes to music, you cannot just put out what you want, but what the listening public wants to hear.
Yes, we all know what put her on the map was her posting a cover of Good Times Bad Times when she entered HLAG. She needs to get past that and go in a different direction. She really needs to get away from playing covers. If she is going to play covers, what she needs to do is, as an example, do what Van Halen did. Don't play Good Times Bad Times as a cover where people are going to listen to the song and judge you for how well you can play it as an original. She needs to turn it up and take possession of the song, she is not a tribute band and not a cover band. She needs to understand this.
She needs to take her magic and redo that song, like Van Halen did with Dancing in the Street or You Really Got Me. Do that and she will put herself on the map.
Unfortunately, talent does not win the race like it once did.
It never ceases to amaze me how Yoyoka can still sing in such an even voice even while she's wailing away on those drums. She has some supernatural command over her entire body! 😳
Seriously. Some of her videos make me laugh when I see all four extremities doing something totally different. I try it for 4 seconds with just my left and right hand... lol.
She joins a star studded cast of drummers too including Carmine Appice!
I love this song!!! And is not an easy one to perform it live, but they did fantastic!
The original recording included Billy Sheehan on bass.
